I recently purchased a bed from Dan at Bay Bed and Mattress and I can say it is without question the best bed I’ve ever slept on! Moreover Dan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He listened to my questions and concerns and took some time to really zero in on the proper mattress for me. Thank you, Dan!

Super duper from start to beginning except gentle readers Word of Wisdom get the mattress after the first or second visit do not wait several years like I did because I have never slept better on the new organic mattress. Very very grateful made in Santa Cruz and super duper. Gustavo delivery Angel was efficient on time and totally professional. Very comfortable well constructed and very grateful for my perfect nights sleep. Pardon any funky text typos Google voice activation is not is accurate is one would think. Pleasant from the beginning until the delivery and locally owned business close to Staff....)

No frills mattress store with very helpful and friendly staff. Worked directly with the owner to find the right firmness with our mattress. Prices are a bit higher than your standard mattress store, but the mattresses are made to your liking with good quality materials. Took about 1 week to get mattress available and delivered - best sleep ever!!

I walked into this business looking for a full size box spring. After listening and suggesting several alternatives they had exactly what I needed in stock, reasonably priced. Delivered and installed within 20 minutes of entering the store! My guest room is now complete!

I bought three beds and two mattresses from this company over the course of the last couple years. I am very happy with my experience with them. One of the mattresses I bought is a custom made mattress. It feels so good! The price was affordable, comparable to what I've paid at the typical mattress stores. We initially bought a firm mattress and then changed it to be slightly less firm. The process was a breeze and the customer service was excellent. They set up the beds and they feel so stable, no squeaking, and very good quality. Delivery and set up was also a good experience. I'm SO glad I purchased a mattress from this company. I'm sleeping so much better now and it has really made a difference in my overall mood and health.

Our futon broke within 3 weeks of us owning it, only from us sitting in it a couple hours a day. A hinge broke and it rendered the "couch" setting useless. We called the owner and he never got back to us, never did anything about it. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the most expensive but when you're spending $700 you expect it to work how it should. On top of that, the owner accidentally refunded me our delivery fee twice after I canceled it, and made me come back to the store so he could charge my card again due to his mess up. Sloppy business practice and it left a very bad taste in my mouth. Steer clear of this place unless you wanna get put around the ringer and have a useless piece of furniture taking up space in your house.

Dan was super helpful. He kindly walked me through all the choices and pricing. He patiently answered all my questions. He even worked with me on pricing concerns. The bed and frame I selected was not going to be ready as quickly as I needed the bed but he easily found solutions. Dan even allowed me to make modifications after initial delivery to improve our comfort. There was one hiccup over delivery instructions which amounted to a communication gap but was rectified. The delivery team came three times in total. They were efficient and pleasant. Ultimately I'm happy w the bed and frame and glad it's a local business.

Great locally run business it's been around forever a they do a really good job with customer service follow up and quality. Support local stores and family run businesses like this rather than Costco if you can they do a really good job and they're a great run business with great customer service and selection and supply. They will run a little bit more but it's definitely worth it. Thank you.

I have not even received my mattress yet however I feel compelled to write a review. (Will update if anything changes)I'm trying to find how to put this without sounding exaggerated. Purchasing a mattress with Dan changed my world view on sales and mattress buying in general.I feel fortunate to live in Santa Cruz and to have found this mattress store.

This is the best place! And Dan is so nice and helpful! I had the cushions redone with foam in my couches and they did a fabulous job! They are like new couches! They were done right on time and look just great! I highly recommend this place! And if I ever need a new mattress or futon I will definitely go back!!

Great costumer service and such a comfy mattress!! I definitely recommend this place. Being able to customize our mattress gave us way more confidence in the purchase, and the prices are comparable to any other.

I had a great experience buying a futon here! I went to look a few times and then I ordered one. I scheduled delivery AND set up because I am spoiled like that. They can exactly within their window of time and the guys who came were super nice, covid safe and helpful. They set everything up. There was an unexpected scratch on the futon and they showed it to me and offered either a discount or to replace it. They set everything up and even added felt pads to the bottom of the futon so as not to scratch my floor. Then they showed my how to use the futon. I was really impressed with the service and so far the futon seems great as well. (Haven't slept on it yet, but it seems comfy.)
