BMO has very poor customer service from the national level when it comes to Power of Attorney.
My mother has dementia and cannot take care of her financial affairs. I received a power of attorney a couple of years back, yet I still have to spend many hours to get their customer service reps to look up the POA. Even though the account name states POA on file. They refuse to look it up.
However, Ed Perez is the local on-site senior customer service rep and he is outstanding!
Be careful many of their employees are Woke.

The worse bank in santa Cruz, bad and very slow services one of teller manager gave hard time only in a simple transaction that normally takes 5 minutes to cash
a check. She gave me a lot excuses and order to give the service, first if you don't have an account she asked for two IDs, then she started to spend time looking something wrong then cheking the signature, then calling the client, finally making notes in her computerTOTAL 25 MINUTES but I wondering my self how will I want to open an account there if they have bad service? no, way never.

Jaime White the bank manager charged me $10 to cash their check and then when I said I would open an account she said she was too busy!

Unhappy with the bank these days but I saw a review of Jeanne, the teller and I was shocked. She has been absolutely hands down one of my favorite people there. She deserves 5 stars. I can't imagine a world where someone could call her spiteful. Weird.

Worse bank ever. I’m a disabled man with no leg. This bank took my $110,000.00 and lost it. They have no idea where my $110,000.00 is. Now they are telling me that if I walk into the branch they will call the cops. As of now they have my $110,000.00 and I can’t get it because they have no idea where they sent my money. This bank took $110,000.00 from me and now they saying they are gonna call the cops if I come in the branch. Where in the world does this happen? Bank of the west is a crook.

AWFUL!!! Hard to find, long waits for simple transactions, and by far the rudest tellers. Take your money somewhere else they don’t deserve it!

Absolutely the worst bank you could ever walk into. If you like extremely rude tellers and snail speed service than this is your bank. Watch out for Jeanne, she is the most spiteful teller you could have. I love Bank of the West but this branch is absolutely atrocious and gives BOTW a terrible name, I don't know who manages this bank but corporate needs to seriously address the Santa Cruz downtown branch.

I'll start with the positive - the customer service provided by the tellers is excellent. This was the reason I chose to switch to Bank of the West after visiting the branch. I figured if their tellers were that good, the rest of their services would follow suit.
