The best place to find unique gifts

The products in this Artisan Store are an agency of handmade expressions of great value--multiple assortments of artisan items. I have purchased numerous gifts, hand-formed jewelry, cards, delectables, fine art, and printed graphic art. Items for children to adults grace this well-lit, handcrafted, unique, bespoke, or custom-made location. The value is in the hands of the beholder!!

Artisans has been my favorite store since I was young. Great for gifts and art. The staff is friendly and I can always find Christmas presents for the kids and grownups.

Used to shop here every year since early 2000 but quality has gone way down hill. Dirty windows and non creative displays both inside and out. Not sure what's happening to Santa Cruz, some stores are really trying.

Absolutely loved this store. We stopped in to look around and realized you could spend hours here looking at all the unique and appealing crafts, jewelry, paintings, etc that are in this store. Truly a wonderful shop! Thankfully, we are out of wall space or we would have brought home a number of beautiful pieces. Something for everyone.

Unique and one-of-kind items here with character and charm. Glad we don’t live close or my wife would put a serious dent on our finances here specially with the baby gear (see photos).Don’t miss the unique design of greeting cards as well. The gifts from this store will leave an impression for sure.

The store is neat and clean. The staff is friendly. It has cool artsy stuff but they are kind of pricy. My experience here was weird and uncomfortable though.I went to return some stuff my husband bought me. The lady (not sure if she's the owner) told me she could put the credits on a gift card. I decided to look around first to see if there was anything grabbing me. After a while, the lady pointed me to some jewelry on sale. There was a small section that all jewelry marked 40% off. After looking through, I chose a necklace which was tagged $35 in original bar code. However, when she took the necklace, she said "Oh no, this necklace is $72 and the discounted price is $35."I hesitated a bit and thought that was strange. All other jewelry in that section have original tags from the manufacture. If what she said was true, then a $200 necklace on sale there would be $500 originally. It totally doesn't make sense as it's just a silver necklace. As I was paying, I asked her if all the jewelry there were marked in their original prices. She gave me a really vague and indirect answer "Oh no, sometimes the staff forget to change the prices in the system".So she charged me $35 for the necklace as tagged. My instinct told me she fooled me and she didn't give me the discount at all. The math didn't work either. The weirdest thing was she removed the original tag from the necklace. I didn't notice until I got back home. Why did she remove the tag???This bad experience put weird and ill feelings to me about this store.. I believe the lady regretted to put the necklace in the on sale section once I decided to buy and she didn't want to honor the discounted price. Is it really worth it to lose a customer and the store's reputation for $15 though???I cannot trust and recommend this store to anyone.

Very cute place with some very cool local artwork very conveniently located downtown with easy parking. Unfortunately due to the emergency exit being locked during business hours I cannot recommend this place due to safety reasons. Even when I brought this up to the staff they kind of just laughed and didn't do anything about it. Very insulting to myself The customers and the overall safety of workers and everyone else inside. It wasn't even close to closing time and the store was fully staffed with two employees so there was absolutely no reason to lock the back door. There is also a sign above the door That says this door is to remain unlocked during business hours. And because there is no push style door handle during an emergency it would be impossible to open the door. Very unsafe and upsetting.

I have been finding an array of beautiful art and fine curios at Artisans for 15 years now. I shop there for holidays and birthdays. I find fine relatively expensive rare gems and exquisitely crafted jewelry and less pricey and very tasteful, artful and beautiful jewelry. The artists are local and there is a pride of workmanship, naturally. The jewelry boxes, cutting boards, clipboards, and other woodwork is too tempting to pass up, and I usually come back for it after deciding which family member deserves it most (or should I give it to myself?). The owner Linnaea, buys the best cards anywhere, ever. They are funny, serious, thematic, retro, relationship humor, etc. There is something for everyone on the full 20 foot card wall. No turnstiles here, it is a wall to peruse. Her long silk scarves adorn my mother's and sister's neck, so much so the family had to tell me that I had to stop giving them to mom because she had too many, but then she complained she wanted more because I know her taste. Our walls have art from Artisans, our cabinets are filled with the cut glassware that features marine life, a love of mine. It is a tradition I give every year and we have collected a large set and my fiancé enjoys her wine only with dolphins. It is a Wow! store all around. Even if you are not ready to buy you still will probably get the chocolates at the counter. But certainly, go inside and see it as the museum it is, and the cool shirts, and the electric bike, and the.........

I was expecting all local artist arts & crafts, and there are some. But the store is actually a mixture of local artists' work and mass produced tourist souvenirs. A bit disappointing.

Don't forget to check in upon arrival and use your 15% off coupon. I totally missed this. I came here to get some earrings. The gal was so helpful. She let me look and feel the weigh of several till I found the ones that were both beautiful and light. I purchased them and they were just as perfect at home as they were in the store. I had to focus and walk out with only them. There are so many beautiful pieces of art. My favorite were the prints on the people movers at the boardwalk. I love the color and the huge size or the mounted prints. Next time one is going home with me. There was so much beautiful jewelry, artwork, and so much more. You must stop by and have a look at the variety and beauty.
