Dr. Hoefer is by far the best health care provider there is! I always wish she could be my own doctor. She truly cares about not only the animals, but the pet parents as well. I would give a galaxy of stars to this place as my personal recommendation.

I love Dr. Hofer and her staff. My dogs and cats have only received the best care She is loving and caring and up to date on all of the research concerning lames disease in dogs and other medicines needed to hep our beloved pets! I only go to Ark Animal Hospital!

My dog, Conan de Bretagne, has received excellent treatment over the years. The staff is very friendly and supportive and the vets are knowledgable and engaged. Plus, they have a kennel. I would not hesitate to recommend Ark to a friend seeking care for a pet.

We use Ark for all of our friends. We took Gibbs in for a tooth cleaning and the procedure went well. Dr. Hoefer, Darin and the rest of the staff were caring and we were out right on time.

Our first puppy visit was great - Dr. Hoefer spent lots of time with us discussing Buddy, his puppy vaccinations, etc, making sure he was set up for his first year of life! All the staff was so friendly and kind!

My husband and I love Ark Animal Hospital! We have been taking our cats there for over 25 years. We love Dr. Christina Hoefer. She spends as much time with you and your animal as is necessary to brainstorm and figure out what diet changes may be called for to help your cat lose a pound or two or a more severe situation in which your cat has broken a hip and how to proceed and a referral to a good surgeon. We have experienced both situations. She truly loves animals, and there is no problem too small. The staff is friendly, and they make you feel right at home. I wish I could find a people doctor in Santa Cruz just like her.

Dr. Hoefer is a caring vet who spends much time listening to my concerns and explaining what she thinks. She also has a lot of patience with a cat who would rather be anywhere than on the examination table. The assistants and office staff are very friendly and helpful.

My dog, Tank, received delightful and comprehensive care with the staff of Ark Animal Hospital. Nothing felt rushed, concerns were addressed, suggestions were made. I felt like my dog being and feeling well were taken very seriosly. I left feeling like a more competent dog owner.
