Got my car a few months ago. Mike was great. It’s very rare to find someone who is genuine and honest but Mike truly seemed to be both those things and nothing since my purchase has changed my mind. My Boxster S has been a lot of fun and no bad surprises so far. Thanks Mike!

I just bought a THIRD car for my family from Mike at Argus. I hadn't seen him for 5 years but he knew me right away. He always has an eclectic variety of vehicles and they're always attractive and shiny. Missing is the wary vibes you often feel with salesman. The most important thing for me is the level of trust I have always felt at Argus. Money can't buy that. Particularly at a used car dealer.
Visiting Argus is like touring a museum with a collection curated by an enthusiast not someone pushing a deal.

I probably should have written this review a long time ago, but better late then never.My family and I have purchased several cars from Michael, for about 15 years and he is always great!We have purchased Mercedes, Jaguars, and Porsches, you know all of the fun cars He is always very fair, kind, good hearted, and has integrity. We all suggest to everyone to come here and get a car, get a couple!

Mike is a nice guy, but he will still take your cash and laugh to the bank. I bought a 2000 Boxster S from him in December. I haven't driven it for more than 400 miles, within that time the car has had several issues. Come to find out the engine needs a rebuild. Nice guy Mike thinks it was my fault by how I drove it. Whether he knew the car was junk or not. DO NOT BUY without a proper PPI from this company. He will sell you a junk car. Do not go with his guy Sean from De Laveaga to do the PPI. Do not trust Mike or Argus to sell you a reliable car, do your research.

Mike runs an outstanding company. I've purchased 3 vehicles from him. A 2005 Mercedes 500 SL. Drove it for two years and sold it for more than I paid for it. The other two were BMWs, Really nice cars for not a whole lot of money. I'm still driving the 2012 550I and couldn't be more satisfied. He's an honest, laid back guy....no pressure. Can't say enough about how easy he is to do business with. If you're looking for a used car, you're missing out if you don't see him first. As they say, HE'S DA MAN!!

Argus is the best small car dealership in a of Santa Cruz county. Mike and his associate's are all long time car people and really care about what you need and how they can help. Next time you are in the market for a quality used car come in and check them out. They want you to get the right car at the right price right away.

My family has used this business three different times for purchasing cars and for selling of cars...it is our "go to place" when it comes to cars. The quality of the cars available is always top notch. The prices are always fair and reasonable. But MOSTLY, although those things a super important to us , what brings us back is the owner "Mike". His customer service is beyond compare! He is easy to talk to and to do business with . Always a win , win process for all involved! He is so smart and really does his homework on the car you are buying . He is helpful informative and will steer you a different direction if he thinks it isn't a fit. AND he tells you why..( when buying our first teenager a car!)Don't look any further for a used car place. This is where locals who know, go! Quality cars with superb costumer service.

Had a great experience purchasing a classic BMW from Mike at the Argus Company. I had been looking for some time, and Mike showed me a beautiful 1976 BMW 2002. He gave me the keys and pointed me toward the perfect hilly road to test out the "Ultimate Driving Machine." Purchasing the car was about the smoothest negotiation experience I could imagine. After the purchase, Mike called me later, to check that I made it home ok. This was just before the Covid pandemic and shutdown, so the ensuing DMV shutdown delayed the registration and plates a bit - which finally arrived. Mike was always patient with my calls, checking on the registration process. Can't imagine a better overall car buying experience, or a better person to deal with.

Bought an '07 Porsche Boxster from Mike a month before shelter-in-place. Very pleasant experience! He is very friendly, laid-back, honest, thoughtful, and an overall great person.Mike let me test drive the car by myself. He even showed me a mountain road nearby where the Boxster will shine. After the fantastic test drive and a second walk-around, I had a better idea of the car's condition. But before I could articulate some of the issues I noticed, Mike shared an inspection report by an independent mechanic which pretty much showed what I was going to say plus a couple more that I missed.It's a 13-year-old car so it is not perfect. But I was impressed with Mike's candidness. Since all the issues were relatively minor, we were still able to make a deal at a very good price. After about a half hour of paperwork and some post-sale prep of the car, I was carving through the Santa Cruz mountains on my way home!Two weeks later, I received a text from Mike just to check up on me and the car. Then about a month later, I saw a pretty cool racing postcard in the mail from his company thanking for my business. That is so awesome! I don't think any car salesmen nowadays have those kinds of follow ups with customers anymore. Three months later, the pandemic is in full swing and the DMV is shut down. My temporary license plates expired and the real ones have not shown up yet. But Mike was there to follow up with me again to assure me that the DMV did not forget and the plates are on their way.I can honestly say it was the best car buying experience I ever had.

Just bought our second car from Mike and Joe. We had been looking for an older Porsche 911 or Boxster as an extra daily/fun car. We just bought a Boxster S and couldn't be happier. Mike was honest about what it needed (We were also realistic, a 15 yr old car needs a few things and isn't perfect). He fixed the convertible top hinge and had a mechanic look it over for us so we knew the condition. It needed a few minor things like a hood shock, but was in great shape! Negotiating the price was painless and didn't feel like we were at a used car lot getting screwed over. A few years back we bought a previous Boxster from them (our neighbor then hit it and totaled it). When we bought this one, he showed us the mechanics report so we felt comfortable he wasn't trying to sell us a piece of junk. It did need some suspension work, a dash switch replaced, tires and brakes soon, but he didn't try to hide anything from us. I appreciated that. Bottom line, they are truthful about the cars they sell. Again, easy, low stress car buying experience. I referred a friend last year, who bought a 911 and shipped it to their home out of state. They are beyond happy with their purchase from Argus Company.
