Blew a head gasket on my NV200 and I got it towed to Richard
Richard got me back on the road in 5 days
Only because I poured the dumb blue devil in my coolant..
The block was surfaced, new timing chain and guides, new radiator,2 new thermostats,new coolant fluid and all new gaskets..
Thank you Richard you and your team are the best and thank you for explaining everything to me. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing people and service! I worked my whole life to buy my dream car, a new Jaguar, and I was referred to Richard for his knowledge and excellence of Jaguars.
I needed an oil change, but I wanted a special Mobil 1 full synthetic oil that he didn’t have in stock. It is expensive oil and hard to find this particular line of Mobil 1.
Richard had to go to several places to find it, and he was so nice about it.
You know when you meet someone that is a good person, that is honest and very fair, and does perfect work. That is Richard and his team. All of them were super cool.
He charged me an amazing price and I highly recommend him for any type of car. We will be taking all of our cars to him.

I came here to get my alternator replaced, he did a great job at a fair price! Fast service too. As a woman it's difficult to find a mechanic you can trust, but i'll definitely be going back here!

In June of 2011, I bought a four year old, used Jaguar XJ8L which had been an executive car for my employer. Since this car was no longer under warranty, I searched the Internet to locate a reliable and ethical Jaguar repair shop in Santa Clarita. Since multiple reviews pointed to Universal Auto Repair, I began using their services. I continue to be totally impressed and satisfied with the work that owner, Richard, and his team perform to keep my car in tip-top condition. Recently I had an issue with a headlight/parking light. Since new parts necessary to complete this repair were no longer available, Richard was able to locate a fine used assembly and completed the repair in a first class manner. If you're looking for an excellent Jaguar (and Land Rover too) mechanic shop, swing on by Universal. You won't be disappointed.

I was passing through town on Monday and my alternator took a dump on me! I was freaking out and didn't know what to do because I was 5 hrs away from home. I called universal auto very early morning and got lucky that Richard picked up before they even opened. He was very nice and prompt in providing me with a quote. I had several places booked marked but at the end am very glad that Richard ended up fixing my alternator. I really appreciated that he really tried his best to get my car fixed and out of there that afternoon given that he was so busy with his other cars. Thank you Richard. Wish I had a mechanic like you where I live.

His mechanic made a mistake of not putting back the bolts on the baffle plate underneath my Jaguar XF and it ended up cracking the plate while I was on the freeway. He promised to replace and fix it but he never did and avoided all my calls ever since. He has lost my business just because of his lack of spine and accountability for his mistakes.

After years of making the long trek to Galpin to make minor repairs to my car, I now go to Universal Auto Repair to get the same work done at a more affordable rate. Richard and his team have saved me time and money by keeping my older model Jaguar purring. As a female car owner and someone who compares pricing, I can verify they are honest and adept at what they do, plus they never try to up-sell you on additional fixes and parts you may not need. The work is always done on time and the price never fluctuates from what is quoted. Just recently, I had a brake light go out, so I just popped in and they changed it for free while everyone was supposed to be on their lunch break. Who does that in this day in age? I've never written a Yelp review but felt compelled after my last amazing visit. Thanks Richard and team. You are the best.
