This is a review for the Pep Boys in 20600 Golden Triangle. I scheduled an appointment but waited hours just to be told that I would have to pay $1000 to have my car repaired. I later found out from another mechanic that all I needed to do was replace a sensor that only costs $25. I wish I could have known this before I paid PepBoys $1000. I guess in their eyes, I'm just another dumb Latino. If you add Mike's and Sam's IQ, it wouldn't reach double digits. At least Mike was kind enough to charge me almost $100 for a warranty I never asked to buy.

Terrible service young guy at the counter had his head down and looked hung over. Was waiting for service as him and his friends laughed at each others cell phones. Told me alignment would be done in two hours, never received an update or phone call, went back two hours later and my truck hadn’t been touched. They told me it would be another hour. At that point I asked for my keys and left. They never even offered an explanation or apology. This place is a joke don’t waste your time like I did.

Do not come here for an oil change. I had an appointment at 8am and when I came in they told the guy who does that doesn’t come until 9 and this happened to four other people that morning alone. So I left my car and they said it would be done by 10 and they would send me a text and call when it was ready. 11 roles around and there is no word so I call and they say oh yeah that car has been ready. So I head back and wait about ten minutes until I can pay (no customers inside) and get my keys. Get in my car and they did not reset the meter that tells me I need an oil change. So I have them reset it and while they do that I realize they didn’t do any general inspection. I asked if they always do an inspection (they told me they would at drop off and it says online that they do) and the lady told me they’re supposed to because she knew they didn’t on mine. She asked to see my receipt to see who completed the work and rolled her eyes and went inside. They did nothing more and that was the biggest waste of money. Thank you Daniel for not doing your job correctly.

I had an 8 o clock appointment and no one was there until 10 minutes after. They told me no one was there to diagnose my car even though that's the type of appointment I scheduled, they explained that for a diagnostic appointment it can take up to an hour and a half, But, they said they can at least run the code scanner which is much faster. So, I agreed. Well, 2 hours went by and no one had updated me on anything, I kept asking over and over for an update, because it had been 1 hour since I had reviewed the diagnostic report on my phone. Finally I get an update and it's to tell me i needed a new battery, so now we're adding more time for this, when in reality running a code shouldn't have taken 2 hours with an 8am appointment. The staff were standing around talking and on their cell phones, while we sit there wondering when they'll start working on our cars, which is very rude. I won't be returning here for new services.

Made and appointment, showed up early and they said they didn't know if they could get to it today. I told them I had a small coolant leak from the hose to the water pump and could they just at least look at it and they said they would try. When I got the notified the inspection was done they said it was the water pump so I asked for a quote. 40min later of him sitting at the computer he called me up and tried to tell my I was looking at $2000. I asked to see the quote and he padded it with everything in the book. Pump, new hoses, new belts, and other lines items I didn't even get into before he turned the screen away. I come from a family of mechanics and just don't like to do the work myself if I can avoid it. I can only imagine how many unsuspecting people get fleeced there every day! For the record part is $150-$350 and standard labor is $200-$400. You tried to screw my kids over for Christmas!!!

Trust is now lost. This is the 2nd time I've taken my car to them. First time was perfectly fine. Got the oil change, tires rotated and thr checks done. All was fine. HOWEVER, this time, I was told the tires can't be rotated with them due to "extended" nuts/bolts on thr wheels. When I questioned the service person about why they were able to do it last time but not this time, he couldn't answer me. So I was left wondering if it was lie about them doing it last time or if this was a lie because he didn't want to do it. The next day, I noticed an issue when driving. I went somewhere else to check it out. One of my tired was loose and they said it looked like someone used the wrong machine to remove the bolts holding on my tired because it was damaged. I called the company to tell them and was just transfered a few times but never got answers. I was told to refer to my paperwork. But I can't trust the paper work or their word since nothing adds up. I know I got the oil change though because I can check that. I don't even know if they did the full inspection that they promise since it's just their word. It's unfortunate. Don't recommend.

Ok, but an online appointment does not mean anything as the system will allow appointments when the local shop does NOT have the capacity to do the work. One of the advisors is sloooow and not very friendly. Check out took way to long and this person answer calls using speaker phone so all can hear the conversation the customer.
