This is our second major purchase from Douglas Furniture. We came in looking for a power recliner loveseat. Austin and Jeff spent time with us yesterday, explaining options, going over differences between the sofas. We needed time to finalize our decision. We arrived today. The team came together to help us determine which features were important. We felt supported the entire time, no heavy pressures. I would recommend Douglas Furniture to family and friends looking for quality and support through the buying process.

Jeff was very cordial and helpful during the sale process for a custom couch and chair that had to be ordered from the factories in North Carolina. It took six months, from order to delivery - and I accept that as beyond the control of Douglas Furniture. The delivery crew was first rate. Credit where credit is due. where Douglas failed miserably is in their after sale performance. Not once during the six months did Douglas contact us with a status or projected delivery date. When the furniture was delivered, it came with a receipt. No "care instructions" and since they're custom fabrics, we wanted to know how to deal with them. I called Douglas and the fellow who answered the phone acted like he had never heard of anyone caring about care instructions and he passed the phone to Jeff. I had to repeat the concern and Jeff said to use a "spot cleaner shampoo" - whatever that is, and that's all that the manufacturers have to say on this topic. His response was abrupt, not helpful and certainly disappointing for a high-end store. He just wanted me off the phone. I consider it very por customer service - and they've lost me as a customer.I went to the Kinkaid website and the Lexington website and found the specific information I needed for the fabrics we had ordered, and t's not "spot cleaner shampoo." Wouldn't Jeff have known that? Couldn't he have directed me to the place to get the information?Douglas Furniture is excellent at the sale and delivery. The rest ... meh!

They go above and beyond to make your dreams come true. I bought a chair while visiting Oklahoma. My husband decided he wanted the chair too. I called Douglas Furniture and I was able to order it. Upon arrival the delivery is free. This was all done over the phone. I have been updated on the making of the chair and the estimated delivery.

My family and I have exclusively shopped with Douglas for over 15 years and after our last purchase (still pending) I can confidently say we will never return. My father and I went in to purchase 2 large items back in August. Coming out of the pandemic, both of us were concerned about delivery time but when we asked outright what the turnover time was, we were told (confidently) "5 weeks." Seeing that we needed the item within 8 weeks, we decided to go through with the sale. It didn't take 5 or 8 weeks. We're in January (20+ weeks) and are still missing an item. When I would call for updates and state that I was upset at them not holding up their end of the bargain they insisted they never quoted 5 weeks. Well, my witness and I say otherwise. They never called with updates. I had to call multiple times and was talked down to, belittled and written off. When I emailed stating I wanted to cancel, I was told I couldn't. I find it interesting that when my husband called to talk, they answered all of his questions and called him back right away. Sexist? Maybe. I haven't been offered any discount, apology or acknowledgment of their mistake. Still waiting on that. As a long time customer of Douglas and supporter of small businesses, this makes me furious. I wish I read other reviews because it seems like in the last year, this attitude, gaslighting, and lack of customer service has become their new MO. With customer service like this, it doesn't seem like they want to be in business much longer, so shop with caution!Sincerely, Still Waiting

Jeff and Doug ar an amazing father son duo with lots of experience selling furniture in the Santa Clarita Valley. They know their stuff. They offer mid to high end brands with lots to choose from.

We went into the store to purchase a leather sectional and ended up walking out. The owner is so rude and condescending. The store is overloaded with junky furniture.

Do NOT buy from this store! We ordered 2 power recliners in May of 2021 in advance of a September hip replacement surgery. We were told they would take up to12 weeks to deliver which was within our timeframe. We did not receive them until November after a full recovery from the hip surgery. We never received a call to provide an update on delivery. I was talked down to when I called to complain. The power headrest stopped working after a month and they didn't want to pay $80 for gas to send someone out to fix it!! Horrible, horrible lack of customer service and they seriously do not care if you are unhappy.

We ordered 2 curios in September last year, which never got delivered to the store and no one had told them it wouldn't be coming. After waiting 8 weeks, we were disappointed, but Jeff and Doug helped us order 2 more, and they came in a timely manner, promptly delivered and set up by friendly delivery guys. We will definitely go back for anything we need. Thank you!!

When shopping for new furniture for our family room, we chose Douglas Furniture thinking it would be nice to shop local and not the chain furniture stores. I wish I would have read some of the reviews prior to our purchasing there. On June 1, 2021 we purchase and paid half as a deposit on a sofa and love seat, to be delivered with 20 -22 weeks. When calling to check on the order and not being able to provide us with a delivery date, I stated that I would probably then cancel the order. When offered a $500.00 discount to wait on receipt of the furniture, I agreed. Just received our furniture nine months later and while it was my mistake not to get the discount offered in writing, they had no record of any such offer made and of course would not offer it. Basically called a liar, I will admit, I was irate. I didn't make that up or pick that number out of a hat. Just make sure when ordering furniture that they will not stand behind a customer or offered made. Local family owned business will never see any more business from me. They had no problem collecting $2700.00 deposit from me and sitting on it for 9 months while waiting for furniture to arrive.
