We carefully selected Stratford School - Santa Clara Winchester campus for our son based on really good feedback from our friends and community members who have kids studying there, particularly, about Ms. Weiss and Ms. Swathi. We are now super happy that we selected the right school for our kid. This is his second year at the same school and he had developed many critical skills, including reading, maths and science in short time. He love to go to school, and he always talks about Ms. Weiss's class. He also developed interest in Chess, Science and Soccer due to the special clubs that the school offers and Spanish language class is an added benefit.

The Stratford, Winchister campus is relatively smaller campus but is very well run. The principal Ms Swathi is very diligent and knows every student in the school. She is very approachable and is willing to listen to any feedback you might have. I want to give a big shout-out to TK teacher Ms Weiss for her passion as an educator. She works extremely hard to make the classes fun and entertaining . Most day's she would setup a stage with prop's and bring costumes for the students. They might be learning about different cultures or festivals. She posts fun pictures from the day and provides regular feedback on progress. She is very methodical and would gradually pick pace and make sure her students are getting ready for Kindergarten.

This review is based on our son's experience at the TK program at Stratford Winchester. This is his 1st year at this particular campus and Ms. Weiss, who runs the TK program, is truly exceptional. Her classroom is a place where learning is engaging and enjoyable and she really goes above and beyond. My son, who used to be reserved, now eagerly shares what he's learned in her class. Ms. Weiss has a knack for making education feel like fun, and it's amazing how much children absorb without even realizing it. She also makes it a point to celebrate all the different occasions/ holidays and teach children about their significance and even dresses them up! He also loves his other teachers Ms. Virginia, Ms. Madhu and Ms. Edith for music, science and spanish. Ms. Swathi and Ms. Shirley are there every morning to greet with warm smiles and are always open to a chat and make you feel very welcome. Being a small campus, it definitely feels like each child gets more attention in a positive way. We highly recommend Stratford Winchester campus and are glad we chose to send our son here.

I would highly recommend this school for anyone who is looking for a right balance between curriculum, extra curricular activities and learning techniques. My kid has been attending this campus since Pre-K and we have seen tremendous improvement in his personality, self independence and confidence. I would also like to give a huge shout out to Ms.Weiss who has been handling TK. If your kid has a chance to be a part of her class, I would say your kid is in very safe hands. She makes learning experience so much fun for the kids that you can see their development from term to term improve drastically. Overall, I would highly recommend this campus and management (Ms.Swathi and her staff) if you are looking for a private school.

Our kid has been with Stratford Winchester since Pre-K. He has made significant progress in emotional and social skill since he started there. He loves going to school and comes home excited about all the different things he learnt and is eager to go back to school the next day. The school is a rather small campus and this gives it a well knit community with great parent participation and my kid knows every teacher in the school and vice versa. They provide a challenging, engaging and well-rounded educational experience from penmanship, math, arts and crafts.

Like every parent, my husband and I did our research when it came to sending our daughter to preschool. We found Stratford the most suitable option as it goes all the way to highschool (we feel that being in the same structure is very crucial for continuity) and toured different campuses. When we toured the Winchester campus we met Ms Swathi and were very pleased with how she explained everything. We were very concerned how our daughter might react to the change. Ms. Swathi's response was very honest and explained how every child is different and it is impossible to predict her reaction.. this really helped us set our expectations right. Being first time parents, sending their daughter to preschool who has been looked after by a nanny for the first 3 yrs of her life.. one can imagine how anxious we must have been. But after touring the campus, meeting the teachers and getting constant updates on the procare app put all our worries away and we knew we made the right decision. It is so nice to see that Ms. Swathi and Ms. Shirley standing at the gate in the morning to say hello to all the kids (they know each kiddo by his/her name). The teachers (shout out to Ms. Gauri, Ms. Vicky, Ms. Virginia, Ms. Edith and Ms. Jeanine) are all simply amazing. Our daughter loves to pretend to be at school even after coming home.. this just shows how happy she and engaged she is over there. Our daughter did have some adjustment problems in the beginning because she was not used to being in a group setting, to address this Ms. Swathi suggested to have one on one play dates with her class mates so she gets familiar with them. These were really helpful ... And after sometime our daughter finally opened up and started to be herself at preschool. Even though our daughter is just in preschool, there is always some new activity going on and it is so nice to see her come home and tell us all about the new things she learned during the day. A big thank you to all the teachers at Stratford Winchester!

Stratford has proven to be an excellent school for my boys, excelling in both academics and behavioral education. The meticulously designed academic curriculum and the exceptional leadership, particularly Miss Swathi Krishnan, go above and beyond for families. Having experienced other schools, my satisfaction with Stratford is unparalleled, providing a sense of security and blessing for my children's well-being as I navigate work responsibilities.

Our whole family really loves the Stratford Winchester campus! Last year, brother and sister transferred to this school, and they adapted quickly, each making good friends. They have made significant progress both academically and in life skills. The Winchester campus feels like a big family, with a warm atmosphere, and every morning you can hear the principal Ms. Swathi, Ms. Shirley and other teachers greeting families. At the end-of-year Christmas performance, brother and sister's performances exceeded my expectations--loud and clear lines, incredibly cute. Seeing the children here learning happily and confidently, I'm very glad we chose Stratford Winchester!

Our experience with Stratford Winchester has been nothing short of exceptional. They have an incredible team of caring and dedicated teachers - Ms. Weiss (TK), Ms. Minu, Ms. Jennie (PK). Their commitment to each student's well-being and academic success is truly commendable. We have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that these teachers have on our child's development. Their approach goes beyond traditional teaching - they create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that fosters a love for learning. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to challenge and engage students. Our child comes home excited about what they've learned each day, and eagerly looks forward to going to school the next day. Being at a smaller school means personalized attention for our child. Students, parents, and staff form a close-knit family, enhancing the overall educational experience. Each day at Stratford Winchester is an adventure filled with curiosity and discovery.

We are going to miss this campus and the teachers very much, as our daughter's journey began from preschool till second grade here, and we can proudly say teachers are wonderful, curriculum is excellent, whether it is maths, science, social, Spanish, computer science, physical education, music, dance and arts. Everything is so well planned in their curriculum, they cover lot of things. We love this campus, it's like a home for the kids, learning environment is very encouraging. Also like to thank all the teachers of this campus Ms. Swathi, Ms. Rupali, Ms. Rani, Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. Saravanan, Ms. Edith, Ms. Kumar, Ms. Virginia, coach Hartwig, and of Course Ms. S. Krishnan, and Ms. Jinki for their constant support and always encouraging my daughter to do every time better. We love this campus and highly recommends, beautiful memories of my daughter with this campus!

I'll start by saying Stratford doesn't have the best reputation. People often warn you about the emphasis on excessive homework and strict academic focus. They tell you it's not play based and that children are left depleted. I was very much on the fence for choosing this school for my daughter for TK but after another school didn't work out, we decided to give it a try. That being said, I am so glad the other school didn't work out. While my daughter did have a hard time transitioning (crying daily for a month), she was welcomed to cry and adjust. I still remember how lovely Miss Swathi was everyday with huge warm hugs and personally checking in on her to get her adjusted. It made the mama bear in me feel very comforted. I can't say enough good things about Miss Weiss and you can read all the wonderful notes about her down below. She's exceptional. My daughter has had so much fun while also learning beyond my wildest imagination. She has learned how to read likely at a 1st/2nd grade level at this point, her writing is better than mine, she does addition and subtraction and we can converse in basic Spanish (since I took some in highschool). The best part is that this has set her on the foundation to love school and all that it can offer. As both me and my husband went to public school, our expectations of my daughter in TK were not high and we are so impressed at what she has accomplished with the dedication and commitment set from her teachers at Stratford. If it weren't for the heavy costs of private school, we'd be continuing our kids education here. Who knows, we might be back.

My son is in TK at Stratford school in Mrs. Weiss's class. He has been enjoying a lot at school, became very comfortable with his teacher in no time. She is truly a gifted teacher, leaves nothing short of perfection. She is kind, caring, loving with all the students and gives individual attention to every kid. My son just loves and adores her.A day doesn't go by without him taking her name.Besides being loving and patient with the kids, she also keeps things real, not sugarcoating like she will tell them when they need to do something on their own rather than just helping them out, which makes them ready for future. I would like to mention few points from all aspects- 1. Academic- She gives them worksheets to do which are easy as well as challenging. She keeps reintroducing concepts , that helps them understand things better. She has instilled genuine interest in them for reading. She lays great emphasis on writing skills too, keeps reminding and correcting them how to write a particular letter. The spelling tests have also helped a great deal in reading as well as forming full sentences and writing them on their own. 2. Entertainment- The kids get regular playtime. She organizes almost daily theme based events, has costumes for the kids, takes pictures and sends to the parents. It is a fun surprise everyday for the kids as well as the parents , all the festivals are celebrated.Everything is fun and relatable for the kids.I am sure a lot of time and effort goes in all the events that she organizes daily, she sets up the themes with inflatables and decorations and then removes them too.I don't know how she does it, she is a super human . 3. Extracurricular- She organized winter program and spring program this year and it was great to see all the kids perform and the growth from the beginning of the TK year to the end. They had a diorama project which again, was covered in the science class too. She organized a field trip which was lots of fun for the kids. What was very special, was she organized a tea party for for all the moms on Mother's Day, which was so special and beautiful. She read a book which everyone loved and the decoration and everything was just perfect. As the year is coming to an end, she is also organizing other fun days and although Father's Day is not until June, she is still organizing a Father's Day event for the dads .I mean, who does that? We are so lucky and grateful to have her as our sons' teacher ,but also sad as the year is coming to an end.My son had a great time in TK with Mrs. Weiss. I would also like to mention about the other subject teachers- Ms Rani - She is the science teacher and she is so knowledgeable and good in teaching the kids the science concepts also while keeping things fun.She also does gardening with them which she did last year too when my son was in Pre-K.It is a good learning experience through everyday life activities. The diorama project was under her care too, and it turned out a great event. Ms Edith- She is the Spanish teacher ,till last year my son didn't know anything Spanish but this year , he has made great improvement and all the credit goes to Ms. Edith. Ms Virginia - She is a very good music teacher and helped the kids with their winter and spring programs too. The principal of the school Ms Swathi and vice principal Ms Jinkie are both very approachable and helpful in clearing any doubts that you have .They are always present in the morning to receive the kids. They also know each student and the parents by their names which is amazing, I think, and tells you how much they care. I would also like to mention my son's Pre- K teachers - Ms Meenu and Ms Sonal. They are both exceptional teachers and helped my son getting used to school life when he just started last year, making him comfortable , getting to know his individual personality. They loved and cared for him and he loved them a lot too.He kept remembering them even after Pre- k and still remembers them occasionally. They laid a great foundation for his future school years, made

Winchester is the best Stratford campus! Ms. Swathi and Ms. Jinkie will meet with student near the gate every morning. They know each student's name and can even remember their siblings names. All the faculty and staff are friendly, energetic and caring to students. We really want to thank TK teacher, Ms. Weiss. She has made the TK year so special for kids to learn with fun. She will decorate the classroom with different educational themes and she sent out pictures almost every day. My son is so much happier and becomes more and more confident through this learning journey. We can tell Ms. Weiss puts a lot of resources the classroom. My daughter is in PS with Ms. Vicky and Ms. Gauri since last August. She grows socially and academically. It amazes me that she always tell me what she learnt from school. She enjoys going to her class every day. Ms. Vicky and Ms. Gauri are caring and patient and always address our questions quickly. We are really grateful to have our kids in this loving learning environment.

I would recommend Stratford Winchester School in San Jose. Our daughter is with the school for more than 2 years now (pre-school and Pre-K). The faculty and staff at Stratford Winchester are dedicated and experienced professionals who go above and beyond to ensure their students receive a well-rounded education. Special shout-out to Pre-K teachers Ms. Jeannie and Ms. Minu who genuinely cared about my daughter's success and are always willing to offer extra help, support, and love whenever she needs it. My daughter also loves her specialized classes like Science (with Ms. Rani), Spanish (with Ms. Edith), and Music (with Ms Virginia). She especially loves the performing arts opportunities such as the Winter and Spring program at school which is attended by parents and siblings. The school provides an excellent platform for young kids to explore their interests and shine in their budding personalities. One thing that really stood out to me about Stratford Winchester was the emphasis on community and collaboration, driving quality education in a supportive and nurturing environment. The school's administration has established open communication channels helping to foster a positive learning environment for students and families alike. The teachers and administration regularly communicate with families regarding school policies, events, and other important information through monthly newsletters and the Procare App. It amazes me to see how well Ms. Swathi (Director) and Ms. Jinkie (Assistant Director) know all children and their families in the school, often communicating personally with everyone at school pick-up or drop-off. If you are looking for a well-rounded education for your child in a supportive and nurturing environment, Stratford Winchester is a great choice!
