Safeway Bakery is a very clean location that is bigger than normal with an organized selection where customers can always find what they need. It is a great place to get a last minute, already prepared cake or pastries for a craving. The staff is very friendly and helpful, willing to drop what they are doing to ice a name on a cake. Helpful checkout staff resolve issues, such as with digital coupons, to make the experience go smoothly. Employees are very diverse and busy stocking every department to keep everything clean and organized. The store is conveniently open early. Amazon lockers are also conveniently located here. A shared plaza provides plenty of parking. Occasionally, some checkouts lack cash for cashback and lines can get very long, causing an occasional delay. Some customers note a desire for more uniform gift card offerings and immediate updates to gas reward points. Overall, it is a very good store where these occasional hiccups are not enough to stop customers from returning.
Very clean location, people are very friendly, can always find what I need, just sometimes lacks some check outs, and lines get very long. Overall very good, just the occasional delay, but not enough to make me not come back!

Finally a positive experience with a Safeway associate. Shari from the Santa Clara Rivermark location greeted me and asked nicely if she could bag my groceries as I placed my bag on the counter while reaching for my debit card. This nice lady is the benchmark for what customer service across the board should be.

I used the bakery in the Safeway several times. I appreciate them making last minute cake orders. They are good cakes and took a special order for me same day. Thank you Safeway, I needed it desperately and you came through.
