Avoid at all costs. Unfortunately this is who my auto insurance carrier uses for broken windshield replacement. They took an unscheduled drop in appointment in advance of my prescheduled appointment and then were not able to complete my service despite having my car all day. And this is after the Safelite San Jose location put in faulty glass in the first place that I was getting replaced! Unreal. This one time visit now has turned into 3 visits AND since I have a Tesla the location wasn't able to calibrate my care making it unsafe to drive until they are able to calibrate it.

Terrible workmanship resulting in damage to the vehicle (destroyed rear-view mirror cover and tried gerry rig a repair that resulted in an annoying vibration noise).Absurdly hard to follow-up for warranty related repair for the above damage and parts replacement.Icing on the cake: they removed the magnetic mount for my dash cam during the warranty repair and replaced it with a poor quality adhesive that left my dash cam dangling in the windshield.I've asked them to replace the part they removed and have never heard back.After paying full price for an OEM windshield I'm extremely upset with the result and some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced.If I could rank 0/5 I would.

I am posting here to serve as a documentation that my car windshield has a leak, and I tried calling them today but no response. I got my car windshield repaired in this company on 08/28/2023 and didn't discover any leak until today because it has been raining, especially the past 2 days. Thank you. (:

Not sure how my original review managed to post on the wrong location, but I'm rewriting this again for the correct one on Santa Clara and let the world know what kind of service was done on my baby.It was surprisingly a good experience with the service of my car when I took it in on 8/8/23, despite my parents warning that wait time or service was not the greatest at this location. Months prior my parents had taken their Mercedes SUV for a glass repair and said they were originally given the wrong glass replacement and the customer service, or wait time for repair was long. With my AAA insurance recommendation and living nearby, I still went ahead and gave this location the benefit of the doubt. Calling and the wait times for AAA to pick up my calls was tedious, but once I was scheduled at the Santa Clara location, it was a breeze thereafter. Dropped my car off before 8 and my keys in the box. Within an hour I get a text of the completion of the repair with recalibration. The male receptionist also gives me a courtesy call my vehicle is ready for pickup. Couldn't read or remember name of technician's name (could be Alejandro?), nonetheless the repair was immaculate. No mis-alignments or gaps, like the repair was not done to begin with. An original part or windshield was ordered for my Forester. Took my baby home and followed the after-care instructions and 4 months later as I write this review, I couldn't be happier I chose this location for my windshield repair. Thank you Safelite, Santa Clara for your prompt and professional service!

Awesome job, Thank you Damian. He was very professional and explained to me everything. He helped me seal a chip with 15 mins or so. I went for the at home service and it went by very smoothly. I was scared at first because of all the negative reviews but had an easy first experience. I was updated of when he was arriving, when he finished and what was done to fix the chip. WiFi works well and was easy to connect. Reception lady was a bit sleepy-looking but it was early in the morning. And she was nice enough to give expected duration of windshield replacement. Bathroom is fairly clean in the morning. I walked by to peek at the service technicians (Aiden being of of the two) working on my car, they were using a heat gun to heat up something real sticky to soften so they can peel the broken windshield little by little, I am glad someone else is doing it after watching 5 min, it took about 30 min to get the broken one off and 15 to put up the new one. For the price I paid I think it was a great deal. Anyone reading this review please wish me luck with the new glass so flying debris will stay away from my car... the world is brighter if you have a happy attitude!!

They took my car for a joy rideI had my 2023 GR Corolla windshield sensor recalibration done on Friday 11/10/2023. Dropped off my car at 12:35pm. They brought it in the shop right away and told me it would take 20-40 min max. I heard them revving the engine when I was still there taking to the front desk! He had to go in to stop them (Nick at the front desk was nice and helpful). I left to run an errand around 12:40pm. However, they took my car out for a joyride at 12:44pm and came back at 1:18pm. They started to work on my car 1:22pm and completed on 1:27pm. So it only took them 5 minutes to complete the recalibration. I think the technicians were Ryan and Leandro since their names appeared in the work order and follow up text message. My fiancé had her windshield replaced with them and the service was great. Never thought they would do this! The Toyota app has a record of trip history, see screenshots for proof.

Very nice, professional, and efficient. I was happily surprised at their customer service skills. I have a 40-foot Freightliner straight truck, and there was no way I was getting into their small parking lot. My fleet owner made the appointment without looking at Google Earth to get a view of the space. I was worried that they wouldn't have a mobile unit available to come to me at the nearby Home Depot parking lot. They got to me right away and replaced my windshield. I'm so grateful. On top of that, everyone was very friendly, which was such a nice reprieve from experiences at other repair places.

The service at Safelite in Santa Clara on Lafayette is terrible. They don't follow-up when they promise, their scheduling of appointments ahead of when your glass arrives is not reliable, and I've actually dropped off my car (on a second visit) and then been called back because the glass they had for me was wrong. My first contact with them was June 7th and I didn't get my glass repaired until October 3rd. Part of this was due to Tesla back glass that was difficult to track down, but a big part of my disappointment was their lack of follow-up and consideration of their customer's time.

Worst experience I've ever had with this location.At my appointment they told me they ordered the wrong glass for my window. I get it, people make mistakes. To rectify their mistake, I asked them to waive the recycling fee for my two hours. Fast forward to my rescheduled appointment, and they ordered the wrong glass again! This time, they'll go to the warehouse and get the glass same day. What could been done in two hours took the entire business day.After I paid and left with my car, I had a feeling this curse wasn't over. The next day, the door panel fell off and my door knob wasn't properly reconnected, leaving me to exit the vehicle from the passenger side. SMH I'm relunctant to go back after being disappointed so many times already as a first time customer.Go to a local shop and get a better price and service. Judging by the other 1 stars, this location seems like they can afford the bad reviews since they get business from their auto insurance partnerships.If you value your time, I would not recommend this location.

I'm a returning customer. I was here for my second car. Just as expected, customer service was great, repair was fast, and I had no issues. I recommend scheduling an appointment, dropping off early, and returning later. Drop off is most convenient for busy people.

"SAFELIGHT CARES? SAFELITE WASTE YOUR TIMEI would give 0 stars and a huge non recommendation for this company that has an issue every time they do work for us. "Dropped my car off this morning after having made an appointment. They said it would take 90 minutes, not a big deal right? 90 minutes goes by and they call. They called to tell me they don't have the glass for my window and they can't find any. Now, I understand how stock issues have been rampant post covid. This however is something they could have and SHOULD have told me before I gave them the keys. Do they care that you're unconvinced, more so than the reason that brought you there? No. Left there and found a place that could do it in 45 minutes and for 1/3 the price they charge. SAFELITE is a joke.

Progressive recommended Safelite to me to fix my windshield. When I called Safelite they gave me a quote and booked the appointment where the technician was coming to me from this location. When the technician showed up I asked to confirm the price upfront, and they were going to charge me $200+ more than my quote. I showed them my quote, they called the Santa Clara shop and couldn’t get in touch with their own shop/supervisor. I also called Safelite corporate and the customer service representative was useless. Gave me contradicting information, put me on hold constantly, and in the end I got rebooked for a week later. Waste of everyone’s time.
