I am 78 and had a bad pain. I visited Instant Urgent Care at 5138 Monterey Highway, Suite G, San Jose on 12/6/2022. Dr. Kaur examined me and found source of my illness quickly, prescribed medicine and care instruction. She is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. I surely will see her for any future urgent care.

Got COVID testing back in April at IUC. Never saw this doctor. I thought testing would be free and wholly covered my insurance. NOPE. They chased me for months with a bill for the test and my 'visit' with Dr. Kaur. I ended up paying it because it was $35 but it's quite ridiculous and judging by the other reviews, they do not give you any heads up that they will charge you and for what. Highly don't recommend.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Not sure if Dr. Kaur is a great doctor. But, Dr. Kaur is an expert in billing patients incorrectly for treatments they never take. She does this repeatedly. Please never go to instant urgent care or Dr. Kaur

Worst place. Called them to inquire about the COVID test - what type of COVID test and how long it will take. Of course the person who answered the phone didn't know and suggested I do a virtual visit. So I talked to "Dr Kaur" on the virtual visit and she didn't know the answer to my two questions either. She still scheduled me for the test and I cancelled it right away (by text). Found out later my insurance is charged with "office visit". If the doctor can at least answered my two simple questions I will be willing to pay. It looks like a loophole in the system for a service provider to file a claim without providing any service.

Horrible experience with Instant Urgent Care ( Dr. Ramandeep Kaur), Santa Clara. It was really a pain to have an experience with Instant Urgent care... July 2020 my husband had an virtual (video call) appointment with Dr. Ramandeep Kaur and for general health checkup as it was a virtual appt there were not vital tests done by them she just told my husband to go for blood work and spoke hardly for 2 mints minutes. I don't know what the bill with special service description they sent to my Insurance with some code of special services but in actual my husband didn't even received regular service from them so how they can charge for special services.. They are keep sending us reminder of pending bill of $272.92 for couple of minuets talk with the Dr Ramandeep Kaur and when I am calling them they are not responding and not even replying on my emails. My insurance also tried many times to contact to doctors office but no one receiving call. NOW MY INSURANCE IS CLEARLY TOLD THAT AS PER AGREEMENT I DO NOT OWE OR PAYBLE TO THIS BILL AND AS PER RULES AND NORMS, THEY CANNOT SEND ME ANY BILL FOR THIS SERVICE BUT STILL THEY ARE KEEP SENDING ME BILL LIKE A TORTURE. I won't suggest anyone to go this place and have the same pain we are suffering with.

One of the worst places to deal with for billing and payments. The doctor was great, but if you want billing nightmares, please feel free to go. It has been over 2 months and I'm still waiting for a billing statement or invoice so I can reconcile. It seems like you will keep getting bills with no explanation, or not get any receipt even if you ask for it. If you call them, they always say the billing person is not in today, please call back on Monday or email. After writing 4 emails over 2 months, no one bothered to even acknowledge, let alone send the receipt. If you call on Monday, they say call back next week. How hard is it to email a receipt? I paid cash for a simple checkup at this clinic. What if you had insurance? Your billing nightmare will be severely more pronounced. Avoid this place at all costs. If Dr. Ramandeep Kaur is reading this - you need to move elsewhere. Your website says: "our focus is on you". That's absolute bs. Patient is the least of their concern. How much time one has to waste with you to just get a copy of the receipt or statement?

We visited IUC online during COVID for a prescription refill for a blood pressure medication. Doctor only issued a one month refill. At the end of the month, we requested to extend the prescription. Doctor insisted that we take another appointment and pay another $100 fee to possibly get the next month of medication. COVID19 situation should not be used for monetary benefit.

Terrible doctor, spent 2 mins on me after waiting for an hour. I had to go Stanford emergency care who took care of me.

I've seen a lot of doctors (and my parents are doctors too), but I've never met any as genuinely unkind and incompetent as Dr. Kaur. It's hard for me to write this because I know that these kind of reviews have consequences- but accountability is important. I have ADHD, and during my appointment with Dr. Kaur she made me feel like my brain was broken, like there was something very wrong with me. At first, it seemed as if she just had a naturally condescending personality, but over the course of the appointment her comments became hurtful and honestly made me feel awful and ashamed of myself. *** Also, the medical advice she gave me was just straight up false. The doctors I've spoke with since then have revealed that had I actually followed her advice, I would be legitimately putting my wellbeing at risk. If you have a choice- go somewhere else. ***

Rudest possible front desk/ Ma named Shawn. No manners. 3 star just because PA Stan is very respectful and attending to patients.

Make sure to look up Instant Urgent Care on Yelp; it has many more reviews, including feedback for Dr. Kaur. Have seen Dr. Kaur about four times. She's friendly, knowledgeable, and all around visiting is a good experience. Instant Urgent Care is a small, no-frills medical office with friendly staff and short wait times. The online Patient Portal is also a refreshingly modern online interface where you can pay/see bills, medical records, and visit records all online. That definitely is a plus.

Dr. Kaur saw me today for an eye issue. She was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and we came up with a plan to treat my eye. Ultimately, I highly recommend this facility since they treated me well and accept my HMO insurance.
