This is the place to go, the guy knows his stuff and is super kind. This is a long over due review but I'm in awe of the quality of work. In January 2018, he did a transmission rebuild on my 2005 Toyota corolla. He knew exactly what light was on and what it meant. He did such a great job that when I went to have the car serviced at Toyota for something else they asked me if I had installed a new engine!! They said the undercarriage was super clean. I’ve since gave the car to my mother and she is still currently driving it in 2024 with no problems ever with the transmission! Thank you do much and I'm sorry it took me so long to write this review.

This must be the best and most honest mechanic I've ever dealt with. Had the transmission of my 2004 Volvo XC90 replaced and the job was done quickly at an extremely fair price. The car had loose steering bearings that were fixed without me mentioning it and at no extra cost. Definitely the place to go if you need to fix your transmission.Service: Transmission

Honest, timely, reasonable fees for the last 15yrs. Coming here vs any service centers anytime for practically any car problems. Only problem, he wouldn’t quit smoking. Never in front of me. But if he did, he would around a long time to service our cars.Services: Steering & suspension repair

My friend recommended me to Doh, and I have received professional and friendly service. The price is also very reasonable. He not only suggested me to the car detailing to fix my car scratch, but he also fixed the tire warning. I do my maintenance regularly, but the last two dealerships failed to fix the tire warning issue in the past 9 months. It turns out that there is a very long nail (the head outside of the tire is almost worn out) in the corner of my tire. Glad he noticed it and fixed it for me. I cannot believe both professional dealerships did not see it!Services: Tires

Excellent service. Took care of everything needed for head gasket replacement on a 2002 Subaru Outback Impreza. Because engine was pulled , had hoses, thermostat and belts also replaced. No hidden costs or extras beyond the estimate. Service was timely and price was very competitive. Thank you; we'll be beck.

Fair and fast.. probably the best deal in town. Called multiple shops for a transmission repair.. "yeah we will replace the whole x,y,z for over $1200+." Contacted PT.. "based on what you are saying it sounds like the X. That costs around $700. I have to also check the Y to see if it is good. If it is bad it will cost... but I have to get in the transmission to inspect it." Dropped my vehicle off and it was ready the next day. No up charging or repairing extra components just to do it.

Straightforward and no bs. Dong is a capable guy and knows the trade. He was able to help me out with a solenoid issue I was having with my Subaru Outback. He simply addressed the issue and didn't try upselling anything. Would definitely go back for any transmission issues.

Going to add to the string of 5 STAR reviews. The transmission in my 2009 Acura RL was not shifting properly. Took it to one transmission shop they said the transmission was shot and needed to be replaced/rebuilt. We're talking serious money here - THOUSANDS of dollars. So looking for a second opinion, I took the car to Perform Transmission. Mr. Do was nice enough to take my car the same day and let me know what he would recommend. Later that same day, he found a broken solenoid that controls transmission shifting, and he could fix (~$250) it vs buying a replacement/new solenoid (~$700.). picked up the car the next morning - it's running flawlessly. Total cost was only a couple of hundred dollars. What a difference from the Thousands I was quoted earlier! Mr. Do is truly the "transmission whisperer". I call him the "magic man". Can't recommend his shop enough.

A dear friend pointed me to Perform Transmission. Now we have to express our deepest thanks to Duo for taking our car on a short notice, giving me money saving advice (!!!) and fixing it in a true professional manner. What a guy! Honest and nice. Thank you for the timely help!
