I had to wait several months to get an appointment and afterwards they canceled and when I finally got to speak to JR he was rude and interrupted me twice and then gave me bad advice which I tried and it just got worse for my finances.

James is one the best financial planner we have met. He is very transparent and genuinely wants to help us with financial well being. He is highly skilled and has wealth of knowledge. He gives honest opinion and has our best interest in mind. He analyzed our investment portfolio and gave us good suggestions on where to diversify. He looked at all aspects of our finances and gave us a broader perspective on how to approach planning and how it ties in with our life goals. So glad that we found James and looking forward to our next meeting with him.

If you have any financial advising/services and/or insurance needs, we highly recommend J.R. Financial & Insurance Services and here's why. About a year and a half ago, I (and my wife) decided to attend their seminar on Social Security to see if we could learn more (and get the free steak meal at a nice Italian Restaurant where the seminar was being held). Well, to our surprise, we not only enjoyed the dinner, but James R. was a wealth of knowledge and information on how to maximize our SS upon retiring. He was engaging and just very likeable in that first meeting, not pushy in securing any of our business moving forward, only truly wanting to give us all we needed to know about maximizing our SS upon retirement. Well, based on all we got out of that first seminar, we finally scheduled our initial no obligation meeting with James as our potential financial planner as had been putting it off for a few years already, and after that social security seminar we knew we had come upon a rare and unique individual, someone who was very knowledgeable and expert on all things financial, but also just a good person who truly cares about our financial well being and helping us to make the best decisions for what our goals are in retirement moving forward as we started late in our retirement planning. James is a true professional and has continued to earn our trust (and even admiration) as he supports us in our reviewing our financial situation periodically and answering any and all questions along the way but here's what we most like about working with him and his team: he's/they're always available to us for when something comes up that we need help with or have questions about. He or his team replies promptly if not immediately and always with information we can validate and know we can trust. Most recently I had questions about a 401K rollover and not only did he have all the answers, but he also inquired about why rolling over and even referred me to a lawyer for a free consult to confirm on some things regarding my separation with my last company was fair as possible for me. When I got the 401K check in the mail (vs being transferred electronically as I expected) James didn't want me to wait even a few weeks until I would see him to give him for depositing, he offered to swing by my house that afternoon and get so could deposit immediately and us not lose out on any time we could be getting more return on the funds once in our Ameritrade 401K account! From engaging James as our financial advisor, we also got the free tax services from his team which was very good. Lastly, we feel that in addition to having someone who "has our back" with regards to saving and positioning best for our retirement someday, that we now have a real friend in him. James has been very supportive and frankly our relationship with him is routinely uplifting. He is very good at what he does, charges minimally/fairly for his excellent services, and helps us to manage our finances as if were his own and not without asking many questions to make sure he fully understands our goals and expectations in ensuring he is always doing the best thig for us. I met with James today. I am someone who knows almost absolutely nothing about money/finances so all things financial are intimidating to me. James is absolutely amazing! He broke down things so I could understand but more importantly took steps to get me more organized and squared away with my money and it is SO EMPOWERING! My mind was blown! For the first time ever I feel like I can take ahold of my finances and be in control of my financial future and freedom. I don't ever want to see anybody else regarding anything financial in my life. He is absolutely wonderful. Cannot overstate that. Highly recommend!!!

James is a brilliant financial advisor and his team is tremendously talented and supportive. I never thought that I earned or saved enough money to warrant a financial advisor but James showed me that being smart with your money doesn't have a minimum point of entry. His expertise goes beyond investments. He takes the time to educate his clients, truly considers the full spectrum of personalized concerns and life goals, and works tirelessly to ensure the best plan is implemented to help achieve each financial milestone. I am a very low risk kind of person (being a student for 15+ years does that!) It took some time for me to be okay with the idea of investing instead of just stagnantly saving but James helped me learn that even a small amount of money can grow to support my dreams. If you're on the fence, go for it, it will be worth it.

After several years of friends telling me I NEED to meet with James, I finally did and the only thing I can't figure out is why I didn't do it sooner! Navigating my finances and making much-needed changes are becoming less scary and much more exciting! I appreciate the guidance James has given me. He patiently answers all my questions and ensures that I understand each step we are taking! I am excited to see where the next year takes me financially- and that's all thanks to James and his team!
