I had an online reservation for a rent-2-buy on a Nissan Versa. With that in mine, I wasn't worried about another customer stealing this potential purchase from me. Alan Cardena was my assigned caretaker for the entire process and it was a breeze. After renting the vehicle and deciding to buy, Alan assisted me with everything I needed to finalize the rent-2-buy purchase. The on-shift manager that day was Romeo who explored my optional benefits and warranties to my vehicle purchase. After going over the options, I finalized on my vehicle purchase and this specific Hertz Car Sales location made it a breeze with no-hassles like other scummy dealerships would do, trapping you with their finance dept. for hours & hours; not here though! Alan and the onshift manager Romeo made my visit here delightful.
Just a tip, if you're going the "rent-2-buy" option like I did, you will have to take a car sales person with you and drive over to the nearest Hertz Rental location for them to grant you your 3-day rental. Then drive back to the Hertz Car sales location. So keep this in mind if you go with "rent-2-buy".

Updated: September 25, I finally bought the car, thanks a lot! Today I have had a much better experience! Anything was perfect.
September 16, 2024. I spent all my day. They told me, come test drive at 10am, I came and they told me that the car is at the mechanic and it will be ready by 1pm, I came again at 1pm, waited 3 hours for the car and then they said, you know, you have to wait some more and you will be the second customer for this car...

Overall, got a good car at a good price. The drawn-out experience required lots of patience, but I'm glad I persisted. They told to come check out the car on a Friday. Took an Uber, waited, told to come back Monday. Repeat. Was able to drive and buy on Tuesday. Personal cost was over $900 in Uber and lost wages just to get started. Luckily the car price dropped during those days. A normal dealer would have the car ready when they say, which would substantially save on out-of-pocket expenses. Allan was helpful throughout.

(TL;DR: 5 stars for Julian Hernandez at J&J auto repair who did a a fantastic touch up job with great service and Jeremy from Hertz Car Sales that finally handled our case; the overall lower rating reflects everything else that happened).
We bought a car from Hertz Car Sales Sacramento that had a scratch on the front bumper which they promised they would touch up for us. After many weeks of slow and/or no replies from Hertz Car Sales in Sacramento, it was organized that we could get it done at Hertz Car Sales Santa Clara (closer to our home). The initial touch up job done was done by someone called Kekoa and it was very bad (looked worse than it had going in), and left us incredibly dissatisfied.
After escalating the issue beyond these two branches, and many further weeks and communication with Hertz Car Sales, it was organized that we could come down to Santa Clara again to have the touch up done properly. For this second time, the work was done by Julian Hernandez from J&J Auto Repair. He did an absolutely fantastic job and provided excellent service.

First off, I'll say they do have some deals so its worth taking a look. On the down side, they certainly don't get paid on customer satisfaction b/c the group was less than communicative or helpful.
Big watch-out!!!
"Evidently" they only send one key across from the renta side, so factor in the cost of a new key if you buy here. For me it's going to ba n additional $1000+ to get the new fob and get it programmed.

This place should get better organized. When I went nobody looked like they wanted to help me. Then this one guy stood up and did help. He was very friendly and patient. In a few minutes I could tell he didn’t belong there. He should be doing something better with his talents. Friendly, outgoing and appears honest. The rest of the employees were un-engaged. I like the prices I see.

Wanted to buy a car from them and messaged online. I got one text message and 2 calls on my voice mail to call them and arrange a test drive, however, they don't reply to texts, nobody picks up, their voice messaging system is full so you can't leave them a message, or the numbers they provide don't even exist. Sometimes the call also gets disconnected after selecting "1" for new customers. Business must be going great for them if they can afford to treat clients like that.

Marco and Allan were so helpful when trying to buy a mini cooper. Allan was so flexible that left us go to lunch while he would do the paperwork. Overall, I was very satisfied with their service.

This place is disorganized and shady. They will add $500 to the prices you see quoted online with no reason given other than prices change. If you want a headache, come here. If you don't, use Carvana.
