Find somewhere else to bank. They know and don't care that they have poor customer service. I went in for help for how to proceed with assisting my recently disabled mother who has an account there in paying her rent, which needed a certified check. Instead of help, they told me to have my mother write me a check which I could cash there to get the money (cause that doesn't sound sketchy). Because that wasn't enough, they blocked her atm cards so we could not use it. She was not notified of their actions! I convinced my mom to go to the bank the next day, and they lied about blocking the card. Then they refused to help. She saw one of the bankers leave the front room and we had her caregiver roll her to him. It took hours for him to help her with getting her card back, getting the certified checks, and to learn how to have me added to the account. When he finally had her go back to the tellers, they did not use the lowered teller for people in wheelchairs. No, she was forced to use the normal high teller window. This is how much respect and decency you will find here. When we were leaving the banker would not say my name correctly and then became unhinged when I told him about the poor customer service and that we would be changing banks. He said good luck with that because all banks are the same they will all treat us as badly as they did. I also learned from my mom they FORCED her to pay $1900 before they would help her with anything. EXTORTION!

What a ridiculous service practice!! Feel like customer has to beg for their business. With a such cheap online system and poor offline service group, I'm wondering how can this bank still survive in the market.

They don't open on time. They often close their branch due to no staff. They often cannot take your deposit due to no casher. If you are seeking proper service, go to different branch but not this one.

Long waits, unhelpful staff except for Anuppam. She was caring and tried to do her best. She was new the first day I was there. After that, subsequent visits to try to see anyone to re-open an account had long waits, over an hour. I had to leave without help. I couldn't wait any longer.I'm changing banks after over 40 years with Citibank.

I'd give zero stars if it was possible. The staff attending to you helps others leaving you hanging. I'd understand that if we were helped correctly. The employee helping me did not know how to so they had to call different people at the back branch to verify information. In the end, even after providing all necessary documents my work did not get completed. Extremely frustrating. The only reason we are still with this bank is its proximity to our residence and because the Chase bank next door closed down which was a major bummer since it operated much much better than this branch.

The worst customer service that I have ever had. The banker was so rude that felt like she was having a quiet afternoon and I ruined her great time :-).She kept asking me to do something that was not able to solve my problems regarding my online banking, telling me that they was not able to help unless I can show the error information I saw. Not until I said that I needed to log in to my online banking did she suggested me log in on their computer. What a helpful banker, right? My problem was solved in the end by the technician that she called. So, basically the banker was there just to play a role of operator. Not helpful at all.

Very sad place for any type of service, unless your going for ATM or very very simple transaction don't go there. There's got be better product knowledge and customer service somewhere in this Bay Area from someone who gives a dam about your money.

Long wait times.. slow uncaring staff. Avoid this like plague.I see three bankers, but was told only one banker is available today. I have waited for more than an hour and half, and no new person has been served.

{3755 El Camino Real Santa Clara, CA 95051 United States} is the location I'm posting this review for. They shut this location down to the public, not allowing any customers inside. Presumably due to the Omicron strain of COVID-19 I went there to help my mother, who is currently in a nursing home, restore access to her online banking. An Asian lady in her late 20s, whose name I was unable to get, would not open the door and because it was loud outside with vehicles whizzing by, could not hear her. Upon showing her my mother's ID and explaining I needed help with her online access, this employee claimed they would let me in after 10 minutes if I waited by the front door. She then went about her business and disregarded me until I went back to knock on the glass. She then said the manager wanted me to wait yet did not tell me how long, nor did this "manager" bother to approach me in person, essentially sending their flunky to dismiss me. This is very rude and while I understand they are being cautious, while waiting at the front door for them to "let me in", I observed several employees arrive at the same entrance the Asian lady stood at, letting all of them in promptly. This branch does not display when they will reopen. I recommend anyone reading this to bank at Chase or Bank of the West. Citibank is not worth your loyalty! I will be closing my account with Citi and moving my business elsewhere

What a dreadful bank in general Citi is. If you have a problem or in an unusual situaiton -e.g you are abroad, the service is poor. The lines to speak to someone can be very muffled and always have to ask to speak to a supervisor. Branch manager seems to have a cushy job - frequently never there, and no responsiveness.

the staff are very helpful but they only have one cash dispensary machine so they might not able to give you the amount of cash you need.

Stay away from Citibank if at all possible. When it comes to large national banks Citibank and Wells Fargo are the bad eggs, and Bank of America and Chase are the good eggs. I have experienced incompetence and negligence at Citibank that rises to the level of criminality, specifically in the area of Citibank Retirement Plan Services (RPS). They repeatedly lost beneficiary information on our family's IRA's, which caused unbelievable headaches when we tried to inherit our parent's IRA's. Also, they frequently issued year-end tax statements with incorrect social security numbers. Finally, RPS is completely clueless as to current tax law on IRA's. They continue to insist on using customer forms that reflect the tax laws of several years ago, not the current law. And when you call them and explain the current law, they deny that the law has changed. The level of incompetence is astounding. There are many other problems I had with Citibank RPS, too numerous to list here. Any bank that would tolerate the existence of such an incompetent and corrupt organization as Citibank RPS does not deserve to be in existence as a bank. Avoid Citibank!
