Kurt was super friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly, and in-store, got my 1970 Technics SL-1300 turntable working again. And he even had a used preamp he could sell me that I could use the turntable with my more modern receiver that didn't have a phono RCA input. And even showed me a little trick so I can get the pitch perfect. So excited to listen to my records again with my current stereo setup.

We were visiting the museum across the street and just happened upon this really good record store! Charming, with a great selection and knowledgeable people. We had to hurry in and out, but still ended up with a nice purchase! Will definitely return next time we’re in Santa Barbara. It’s so nice when we find gems like this!

AND STILL the best record shop in town. Staff are friendly and helpful, and while the selection doesn't turn over as frequently as shops in bigger cities, they're prices are overall fair.

A really large selection new and used vinyl plus a bargain bin where I got lucky on one occasion. Pleasant and very knowledgeable staff...and what can be bad about a store's location in downtown Santa Barbara?

I've come here a few times... first time because my needle broke. I bought a new needle online and I guess I bought the wrong one. I took my record player in and we did a trade of needles at no cost. That was nice. Second time, kinda the same thing but another component had broken on my Crosely and I guess it was a goner. I was bummed because I have so many records. BUT! Matt was pretty awesome and he had a operable record player at a very decent price. He said to stop by tomorrow. I did. And I left with a perfectly good working record player. The staff here is awesome. Good vibes. Thank you

Great collection of records and CDs available. Perfect location in the heart of Santa Barbara near State St. They have a diverse and unique display and offer many items relating to vinyl and CDs as well. My only gripes are the ever increasing prices and the disorganized displays.

Visiting from Ontario Canada - downtown for July 4 - my son is a vinyl lover and wanted to check this place out. We walked a long way to find it as they said they were open. When we finally arrived, they were not. Door was locked no one there. What a colossal waste of time. If you aren’t going to be open, don’t advertise that you are - Plain and simple. We would have used our time more wisely. NOT a fan of false advertising or lazy staff that don’t pay attention to details.
