Overall a friendly staff, decent selection and one perk is there is a HUGE selection of dog food.Sometimes the place is undone and it looks like the inventory is always being sorted. Organization could be better.

This was our dogs first groomer 4 years ago. Many ups and downs with this location. I always went back because MOST of the grooming staff was friendly and did an OK job. That being said they have a huge revolving door of no staff or new staff. Yesterday we had a bathing appointment. Our little guy has eczema and allergies so he's always itchy and rashy. Currently his ears were rashy. I let the new girl know that and she looked at him. Then she called in the store manager. He and the new girl were going back and forth saying his ears were probably infected and asking me why didn't I have him on allergy shots shooting dirty looks my way. Basically they were trying to shame me when they didn't even understand his situation. they asked if it was my first time there, I explained we had rarely gone elsewhere in four years and his condition is well documented on his account there. They didn't bother to even look. They started whispering again. I took my dog and left. I will not spend one more cent in this store!

Not happy after looking at my already processed order to find out that besides the $7.00 delivery fee there was a $4.40 tip that I did not add.So because I couldn't carry a 30 pound container of kitty litter up the stairs, it cost me $ $11.50 to get it delivered!! Reviewing my order I learned that the button for a 20 % tip is ALREADY checked on every order, so if you do not notice and uncheck it, you pay a tip whether you wanted to or not.. I do not agree with this. Just another way of getting scammed.

They always have what I need, they seem pretty understaffed so the store definitely needs some help. It may be unorganized but the staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is very convenient and I'll definitely be returning

Absolutely disgusting. The overpriced sensitive stomach dog food I need is sold here and I wont ever be back even though its close to my new home. First of all it REEKS of something nasty. You can't navigate the store for the dozens of stacked up carts full of unpacked cartons of products, yet the shelves are empty. Filthy water for the poor fish to swim in , its a sad place.

This review is for the grooming department, I took my pup there last minute and they had an appointment for same day, within 2 hrs I had my bernedoodle bathed and blow dried , Ais is a star, kind with the most positive attitude . I will go back , thank You!

This is a Long review! Been to the SB Petco numerous times with no problems at all over the past 5 years. Wow, today was a complete S Show. Placed an order online, ordered cancelled due to not being in stock, I stopped by the store as I was in the area and the item was in stock behind a locked glass case, no worries, got some help but the key to the cabinet was with the manager who was off (handy right?) I went back later in the evening and they had the key, I waited to purchase at the register for about a good 5 minutes before any staff decided to show up. The cashier went and helped two other parties in another cash register before asking if we were being helped, I said no, that's why we are standing here at this cash register waiting to be helped, the cashier then proceeded to help more customers! Yep, I hope leadership from the store or region replies to this review, because your store operations is a joke. How much business are you going to lose or how many customers are you going to force away to your competitors? I purchased other items from Amazon and won't be back,

I am a regular customer of this store, I always buy dog food in this location. I buy big packs because it's cheaper. This time I took the package from the shelf and when I went to the checkout the price was much higher. Naturally, you are confused when you find out that the price is higher by $30. As it turned out, the packaging was in the wrong place. When I took it, I only checked the price tag for the name and taste of the food, but not for the weight. Of course this is very frustrating. I want to compare my financial capabilities and what I see on the price tag. It's not my fault that a pack of food was under the wrong price tag. The cashier began to explain to me about the difference in the weight of the packages, and you know, I'm not stupid and I understand the difference in weight, but does this change my impressions and how upset I was with the price. Plus, I also didn't like the mess in the store, between the rows it was difficult to pass. It's a pity, but the impression is already spoiled

Specifically referring to Petco at 3985 State St. Arrived for a haircut appointment for my dog which I made over a month ago. I came with my confirmation and they had no record of me making an appointment. They said their groomer quit and they have no one to do it. Obviously I gave them an earful about how unacceptable this is. OK fine if you have to cancel appointments due to a groomer quitting but you need to notify people. That is the differences between good customer service and lousy customer service. So do not bother making an appointment here because they will not bother notifying you when their groomer quits.

Random sign on door says that they will not open until 1PM on a Sunday. They close at 6 PM. Useless, Just do us a favor and close for good.

I was just in the store to buy a dog crate. Walked around couldn't find anyone to help. So I stood in line to ask the cashier if he could help me, or if he could call someone he said everyone must be on their break. So I started looking for the crates myself. I finally found them but their were other boxes in front of them so you couldn't get to them at all. Also finally found someone to help and asked for the cheapest one and all he does is look where I was looking and pointed to the only one he could see and said it must be that one. I also said went to your website and it said there was a medium one for $39.99 he proceeded to tell me the website is usually wrong and you probably didn't have it. I asked how would know because you can't even see everything. And then he just stood there. Worst experience ever! I will never go back

Awful customer service!! Prime example of why you should shop local businesses. Have been looped in their phone tree for over 17 minutes now. First time I was disconnected.

Terrible service I bought a hamster from here and he is very very sick since I got him. He wasn't presenting signs when I got him but as soon as I took him home. He has had wet tail and other issues and I have tried multiple things to try and fix his wet tail but nothing works. I tried contacting Petco to help me with this issue but they were no help 0/10 do not buy your animals from here. This place deserves no stars they are selling sick animals
