Postal workers that I spoke with were all courteous and tried to help with information available. However, the postal workers in Santa Barbara and Port Jefferson had different sets of information. So, when I was in Santa Barbara, I was told it was already sent to Port Jefferson. When I contacted Port Jefferson, they said it was in Santa Barbara. Then, on January 11, which was the last date available for delivery , they told me it was sent back.

Luis was by far the most helpful staff I have ever encountered during my life at a post office. Worked the day of Saturday January 14th 2023 around 130-2pm. Above and beyond and such a warm friendly attitude. I have never seen this at any post office in any state I have lived.

Great customer service! Lady in front of me was a royal bi_ _ _ to the postmaster and when I came up he brushed her off and greeted me as if his day couldn't get better!

This is such a great post office, the people here are super helpful, even when I've called in OVER THE PHONE LEAVING A MESSAGE, they get back to me that very day! They are simply the best. Parking here is great, love the downtown post office because it's so nice to look at, but the plentiful parking here makes me extra happy! I especially appreciate the USPS in the past two years, with ordering so much online as there is no shopping in town and we couldn't go down south like normal, I personally believe everyone was relying much, much more heavily on the USPS. In talking with the post men and woman I've been especially concerned with the vehicle's that they have to use, the windows are poorly constructed glass that inhibits them from seeing properly at certain times of the day with the sun in all and the vehicles are cold. I think it's high time these hard working people got an upgrade. Thank you to this branch and all the branches working hard!

John J wasAMAZING and AWESOME in helping me when literally no one else in the USPS would do so. He listened, took all the time that was needed and got the issue resolved quickly. He is THE MAN.

I only downloaded Yelp for this one review but it has now taken my call 2 hours too get a representative when I was told it would take only 30 minutes I'm calling for a lost package and maybe I'm a bit ticked off but two hours of waiting on the phone is just too much and I'm still waiting

Service in this post office is amazing. They are friendly, nice and super helpful. There is also a parking lot so highly recommend coming here to buy postage, send mail, etc Bad reviews seem to be in regards to mail deliveries to their homes- used to live in east side of town... also had issues with once in a while mail getting delivered to neighbors address but moved to the west side and same issue. In terms of post office to physically go to, this location is a hidden gem

We have a horrible mail theft problem in our area, so we bought a locking mailbox. Now when we receive packages the temp carriers leave them outside the box in full view of the street. The regular carriers are awesome. But so far I've had my prescriptions, a $120 product and other packages taken due to poor carrier service. Filing complaints and making calls do no good.

Wonderful place!! The workers there are absolute amazing. David couldn’t be any nicer a person- makes everyone feel welcomed and taken care of despite how busy they are. Truly a first of a kind for me to Like going to a Post office. Even during busy hours!

This is the worst post office in town. Try to avoid it. I spent 25 minutes in line to mail a letter by certified mail. There was only one person at the counter, and he amazingly slow. The line was very-very long. Obviously, nobody cares about customers here.

They will help get you through the line if you are just picking up mail, not dropping off.
