Quick and thorough. Kind service. Went for a wellness check for the cat and everyone was kind and straight to the point(didn't even have to wait to be seen)

Dr. Mobraaten is absolutely the best! Traveled all the way from San Diego to Santa Barbara for my 10 month old pup’s first surgery. I was so nervous trying to research a place for her spay and microchip but felt completely at ease with the SB Pet Hospital knowing she’d be in the best hands! Dr. Mobraaten is so kind, patient and a total expert in her field! Look no further and bring your pet here!

What a Special group of people. The doctors are the most knowledgable, caring people. All of the staff is warm, friendly and most helpful. I have taken my dogs there for years and always know I am in the best care!

We've taken our two dogs and cat to SBPH for over 15 years. We value the care they've given to our animals and plan to bring all of our animals to them in the future, even though we've moving off the mesa.

We are writing this review due to great disappointment about the service they provided to us today. We called to make an appointment yesterday for our dog and received an 11:15 appointment. My husband was waiting in the parking lot when I received a call to reschedule since we missed our 11:00 appointment. I gave her his number and said there must be some misunderstanding, but that he is waiting currently for them. After a discussion they refused to see our dog stating "another appointment will arrive in 15 minutes." Our dog is having intestinal issues and the next soonest appointment available in town is in 5 days due to current pandemic situations. It is not an emergency to take her to an emergency vet, but she will now be in discomfort 5 more days because they would not accommodate for her. We have gone to SBPH loyally for routine care, vaccinations, spaying, fox tails, ear infections over the past 4 years. It is disappointing they wouldn't try to accommodate to a loyal patient during such tough times. We were prepared and ready, including storing a stool sample properly and taking it to the appointment. We will not be returning to this facility. It is very upsetting that they could not help us find a solution to the miscommunication and instead we have to wait 5 days to be seen somewhere else.

Excellent caring Veterinarians and kind staff keep me coming back. I just added two miniature Schnauzers to my family after one year hiatus from being a pet parent. Upon returning to SB pet hospital I felt confident they would take all the time and consideration my newborn fur babies needed.

The doctors and all of the staff here are wonderful. My dog LOVES going here and they take great care of her. I've had pets my whole life and never had a vet I was happier with.

I have had two dogs with SBPH and the personnel there have been excellent! They care, they go above and beyond. I don't know how anyone could have had a bad experience as some of the posters below. I've never seen/heard anyone while I was there be rude or unprofessional. They are loving and caring. Best place for your animal. Been going to SBPH for over 15 years!

I love this pet hospital - I wish my first visit wasn't under the horrific circumstances it was but they handled it wonderfully. My dog had fallen and hit his head, wasn't breathing, and had no pulse. I rushed him to this hospital in panic and they took him back immediately and started working on him. Stewart was their top priority and I am so appreciative of that. There were 2 vets, 1 vet nurse, and 2 vet techs working. 1 vet, 1 vet nurse, and 1 vet tech stayed with Stewart the entire time while the other vet was communicating everything to me and the vet tech was manning the reception area and getting Stewart's records from previous hospitals. Unfortunately, Stewart never started breathing on his own again and passed away. When explaining my options to me, the vets did not sway or encourage me in any option - which made is SUPER hard to make a decision but I am glad it was completely up to me with no bias from the hospital. Every employee there was also full of empathy for me and my family going through this hard time. They even allowed me to group FaceTime with my family so they could all say goodbye to Stewart. Afterwards, they also gave me as much time as I wanted alone with Stewart and holding him in my arms as he went on to heaven. Lastly, they offered to grab a paw print and some hair for each member of my family. I am so thankful they took care of Stewart with such empathy, grace, and care in his last moments.

One of the worst experiences in a veterinary clinic... ever! I'll give two stars for Dr. Mobraten as she seems somewhat kind and caring of my dog. This practice is overpriced, insensitive and seems only money driven hospital. I had taken my dog three times for a reoccurring procedure, each time I was allowed to be in the room with and my dog who is almost 15 years old.and is so sweet, has never needed a muzzle. Walked in,I was was greeted by a rude 20 something woman, Laura I think her name was. Yes I ran 15 minutes behind, regardless, the woman should been polite, the clients do pay for her salary. Someone had mistakenly booked me with another vet when I had always seen Dr. Mobraten. After rushing over before work, Shouldn't I be the one who is upset here? The arrogant front desk woman said Dr Mobraten will be able to see me after all. The women showed me to the room and slammed the door after herself, nicely done. Dr. Mobraten said they normally do this procedure in the back. Then why was allowed in the room for the past 2 times? This time, the Dr. was talking, not paying attention to my dog, more about what she was going on about, while she inserting her finger into my dogs backside. My dog yelped, I jumped a little too and the Dr told me to "stay calm" How about your front desk be a little more gracious, not slam doors, not make me wrong for being 15 minutes late and how about you pay attention to what you are doing , book me with the wrong vet, not talking while you're doing this procedure? Then I'll stay calm! After all that was done, the women at the front desk had a complete personality transformation now with the vet standing right next her, unbelievable. Well guess what? Santa Barbara Pet Hospital, you just lost a client! So rude, inconsistent, expensive and traumatizing for my dog and for me! it shouldn't have been like this. I'm sure there are more personable, and less expensive pet hospitals in town. Who needs this?!
