I came into urgent care today and received terrible attitudes from not only the medical assistant but also the receptionist. I would like to make it clear that there are excellent providers here and what I stated above does not apply to them. Everything leading up to seeing my provider was unfortunately very off putting, and has me questioning why I continue to go to sansum clinic. I would think twice before heading over to sansum urgent care.

The front desk staff, nurses, doctors, and security guard are amazing. My husband was running late to his appointment last Friday. The security guard was so accommodating in helping us get to the check-in counter. The front desk was helpful as well by making sure we would be seen, even if we we're running late. The nurses and doctors we're so pleasant and understanding and really took the time to listen and help with my husband's situation. We are certainly going to return in the future for all help and smiles we recieved during our stay.

They’re open 6:30a -5p Monday through Thursday and 6:30a - 1p on Friday. Closed Saturday and Sunday.Staff and nurses are helpful and you can call ahead or book online for an appointment so you don’t have to wait. Appointments start at 8am, however, so you can’t schedule an appointment for earlier than that time.Parking is free and plentiful. Waiting room has plenty of seats different sizes and a flat screen TV for entertainment. You can also wait outside if you want fresh air.

3 hour wait time. Not sure where the sense of urgency fell off.. probably rebrand "Sansum never urgent.. run down.. don't care"There isn't much care for patients. Lack of ventilation makes the waiting room a place to catch a disease than to find care. I'd sum it up as a nightmare. Hopefully the people who run this place looks into making things better. This shouldn't be acceptable standards. Especially in Santa Barbara.

The team from start to finish, especially Dr. Daugherty, was a genuine breath of fresh air during a recent visit to Sansum's Urgent Care. I have come to expect very little from local Urgent Care experiences but sometimes they are a necessary evil. It should speak volumes that in spite of the extensive, hours-long wait (the clinic was packed) I don't hesitate to give a 5-star review. The entire staff maintained good attitudes and support that at no time seemed rushed nor pushy. By the time I was seen, I imagine Dr. Daugherty had already had a long day with b2b cases yet she was patient, diligent in noting the array of symptoms I rattled off and took the time to discuss and advise me for my care plan forward. It was near-immediate that I trusted her expertise and I had no doubts she was well-versed in general medicine (vs. hyper-focused on a specialty which doesn't always align with Urgent Care/ER situations). Her bedside manner has more of an authoritative presence which is firm and almost parent-like (you'll feel a little guilty if you've missed prioritizing your routine care :), yet warm in her overall care that she ensures you leave educated and having the data you need to make informed decisions about how to help yourself heal. I wish I had caught the nurse's name towards the end who won the blood draw lottery as she was precise, efficient, kind and was skilled enough to make it as pain-free as possible. Thanks Team!

Front staff is horrible. The girls working front desk always have a bad attitude. It's urgent care, most people really don't want to be there and they just make the experience even worse. They always roll their eyes at questions or give very short answers. From the reviews it seems like a few people have complained about the same employee. Obviously nothing is done about it if she's still there and the service continues to be horrible. Have a better attitude if you're going to work in healthcare.

Dr Ulashian was very nice and thorough. He gave me a list of things I could do to feel better from a nasty common cold. Most importantly he listened to my breathing and didn't rush, so I felt respected. Thanks, Doc!

Bottom Line: This place is always slammed but it's a surprisingly good clinicUpgrading my review to four stars. It'll never get five stars because at the end of the day, it's Sansum and they are kind of evil but the people that work in this facility are awesome.I have been here several times, usually 30-60 minutes before they open as there is ALWAYS a queue. Once you're in though you're dealing with people who are quick and professional. This last visit I have to say that I was impressed with each person I was in contact with from the staff at the front, to the staff everywhere within. These folks are pros! Just get there early....

I was blown away by the care I received this weekend at SB Sansum Urgent Care. I had to go in on Easter Sunday after a DirtBike accident. I expected everyone to be upset about working, not just a weekend but a holiday. I was so far off. Every single nurse was extremely kind. I even had a lovely chat with the X-ray tech. I never once felt rushed through the process. Dr Alex Leasure did an extremely thorough exam. He explained what my possible injury levels could be ( I need an MRI before knowing exact treatment) and the recovery process. Even assured me that everything was going to be okay, as I got upset knowing I wouldn't be up running around anytime soon. I was so impressed and thankful for their kindness. I really felt like they cared as much as I did about my injury. Thank you all who were working Easter. I really did appreciate your help. Cheers-kAsk quick tip use their app to get a status on wait times!

Do you need a doctor to prescribe an antibiotic for your toddler who has hand, foot, and mouth (a VIRAL infection)? Look no further. Dr. Tom Anderson has you covered. Ever heard of antibiotic resistance? We can all thank these MD's who know you don't treat a virus with antibiotics. Keep paying to get my reviews REMOVED from Yelp and Google, I have the time to keep posting.
