The best part of our stay was the staff! Service was excellent. Jennie took care of everything we needed for my bf's birthday weekend. The location is perfect- central to all the restaurants on state street but also a quick walk to the beach. The rooms may be a bit smaller but we got a room with a garden view and it was perfect for us as a couple.

Cute boutique hotel in the heart of everything! It was clean, right across from train station if you plan to take train. Moxi museum next door if you plan to bring kids, and tons of food and wine bars nearby. All walking distance! And it's a short walk to the beach! Rooms remind me of staterooms on a cruise ship as far as size. So book solo if you aren't traveling with someone you are really comfortable with. Please keep the location and room size in mind before booking.. depending on your travel reasons this may not be the place for you. Valet is $48 and they allow in and outs. Bed and pillows are clean and comfy. They have robes, keurigs, and offer fruits and filtered water. Didn't get the kind woman's name at front desk but she gave great recommendations and some deals with nearby wineries. So don't hesitate to ask. I will be back!

My husband & I just left & were so happy to. We staid for 2 nights. Where do I begin. Location & restaurant are good. 1st of all no elevator. Only 2 floors which is fine but when I have a bad knee going up & down the stairs was hard especially with luggage. TV only worked 1 day, no hot tub or pool (yes the beach was 1 block away) but at night we like relaxing in a hot tub, if you only want to pay $30 a night for parking it's 1 1/2 blocks away so we used valet for $48 a night, rooms are very small, trucks woke us up early this morning. I could go on & on. We will never stay there again.

Upon entering the lobby, the hotel is beautifully decorated with a bright beachy theme - ready for photo ops in every angle. We found the front being handled by a single staff member who was very friendly and helpful. Be aware that this is a dog-friendly hotel, most guests including ourselves had brought along their pets. It was a nice welcome to be gifted a doggie bag filled with treats, poop bags, and even a toy. Valet was full on the day we checked in so we had to park in a lot located a few blocks out. Although it's a fenced lot, there is no security presence - yet it's still $30 to park there. Our room was located on the second floor. There is no elevator, but there is a dummy lift only for transporting large luggage. The room and bathroom was much smaller than anticipated, but nonetheless it was clean and stocked with basic amenities. Our room came with an issue, there was no power to the TV, phone, coffee maker, and any outlets to half of the room. The poor staff member who was the only one working tried to resolve our power issue on his own, but to no success. We couldn't switch to another room either because everything was booked that night. The kind staff said he'll leave a note for the GM to contact me to make up for the inconvenience. A week went by and no call, so I decided to call the hotel. I got in touch with the GM - June, who advised me to send her an email so that I can receive a voucher to make up the unfortunate stay. So I did, and with no initial response I followed up two more time via email - still no response. I called the hotel again to reach June, to which another staff reported that she had to jump into a meeting and will call me back. It's been two weeks since then and I still have not heard back from June. I was ready to give this hotel another chance, but the lack of response from the GM has been thinking otherwise.

This hotel has obviously seen an overhaul or major renovation since the Muppets ran it decades ago. And while the rooms are so small they make my ass look big (It's like putting on spandex), I can't wait to come back. The place was immaculate, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the staff was SO nice. I gush but they deserve it. I took the train up from LA, two hours, and it dropped me off like an UBER at the front door. The hotel is right in the middle of all the good stuff; on State Street, two blocks from the Warf. The room I was in had its own little garden/patio and it was so relaxing and quiet. I will be returning as soon as I get a couple of days off back-to-back or even for an overnighter. I have already recommended it to friends. (Full disclosure; my first night of three that I was in Santa Barbara I got food poisoning at a nearby Barbeque place. That review is coming. But I was sequestered to my room for 48 hours or so which might have colored my review on the size of the room. Well, that and the fact I'm a large fella.)

Tiny room. Bad Internet. Friendly but unhelpful staff. Overpriced. But great location.

Where to begin? The room is like 150 sq ft and the bathroom is like 6x6. It's so small that the bathroom is laid out like a camper where curtains separate the shower, vanity and toilet.Services? No fridge, or elevator (not sure how a motility challenged individual would stay here). Drinking water - bring your own.Location - did i mention the train line adjacent to the hotel. Thin walls and train noises- hope you're a deep sleeper.Great shops and restraunts nearby.

I just recently stayed here with my sister and the location and the decor of the hotel are great. However there were problems like $48 per day to valet!! and there is no service and you r lucky if u get the right car. The check in and out staff were completely out to lunch. They neglected to tell us upon check in the you r to order room service hence we had none and our shared room was the size of a postage stamp! Then to top it off the check out staff totally screwed up the billing on both our cards causing us to call them to straighten it all out!

Nice room a little small, comfortable bed, not soundproof, water pressure could have been better, slippers would have been nice, clean, filtered water available outside the room, liked the tiny patio, great

Second time staying here. Rooms are fine if a little small, I had no issues with ac/heating as others have mentioned. If you stay on the side of the hotel over the restaurant below it is quite noisy until around 9:30/10pm but is very quiet after. The bathroom/shower is small and strange. A glass door separates one side while a curtain is on the other. My biggest complaint is the shower pressure. Anyone with long hair will have issues getting shampoo out. Showering takes a long time due to the pressure, this has been an issue at each room I’ve stayed in and is not a single room problem. Room is mostly clean, I would appreciate not having the decorative pillow on the bed which i assume is never washed. Front staff was absent when I tried to check out, so waited around 10 minutes for her to return.

Smaller rooms but still comfortable and for the price it felt like a good deal. Close to funk zone and many bars and restaurants. Had an upstairs outdoor patio area on both sides that were nice for sitting and chatting.

Lovely refurbished older property, with friendly staff in a nice location. Dog friendly, with a short walk to their facility. Rooms were bright and clean with very good bathroom facilities. For those traveling on Amtrak, the station is a short walk from the hotel. There are also many restaurants in a short walking distance.

The rooms were pretty small which was ok. We ended up booking wrong and only had a room with 1 bed. I went and asked how much an extra room was, $205. Not a big deal. We went out and grabbed dinner, we came back and the room was $245. I wasn't going to go anywhere else so we paid the extra. The room was more expensive but wasn't even as nice as the room we paid less for. The bed was so squeaky that I had lot trouble sleeping. I said something on checkout about how bad the bed was and the person working the front said they would have maintenance look at. Awesome...
