QwikResponse didn't meet our expectations. We had contracted them for asbestos abatement in popcorn ceiling. During our consultation with Sean we were optimistic, he explained that they would do the project in two parts and that we would have to stay away from our apartment for three to four days during the first part, but would be able to stay there for the second part. When they had started part 2 and we wanted to go back home after work, the living room where we were supposed to stay was completely sealed off, so we had to leave with nothing but the clothes we were wearing having to find a place to stay. In total out of 14 days we were only able to spend two days at our apartment, which were inbetween the two parts. When we brought up this issue with Sean, he just didn't respond. Another problem was that from the beginning we had asked for ceiling repairs to be done after the abatement. Returning home we were stunned to find it hadn't been repaired. When reaching out to QwikResponse we were told that it hadn't been put in the estimate and that we would have to wait for a new one for them to begin the repairs. After waiting over two weeks they still didn't have a new estimate for us. What left us outraged is that there is evidence someone had been in our apartment while we were at work without us knowing and only QwikResponse had access to our spare key. After that we canceled our services with them.

I usually don't post a lot of reviews, but feel the need to with this company. We requested mold removal and rebuild of cabinets and new counter in the kitchen. Steve Knght was pleasant to work with at first, but then became very rude, unhelpful, and not honest about costs as time went on. I lived out of town and when his quote for counters came at a significantly larger cost then he originally quoted, would not help me find a suitable replacement for a rental and only guided me to places with no pictures to use. He then CHOSE the counters without my approval and was dishonest about the cost to put them in, asking me for an additional $6k months later that somehow "wasn't on the invoice". From speaking with others in Santa Barbara this is a typical experience. If you choose him, account for 150% or so of the price he quoted you initially. My tenant is also a handyman and was inspecting his crews work. He said he had to be on top of them to mount the cabinets correctly, and somehow storage space and cabinets just disappeared. If he hadn't been onsite I think it would have been very poorly constructed.

This is the second time I've had to use Steve and his staff at Qwik Response. Besides being really nice people, they are profession, punctual and EXCELLENT at what they do. Cheyne Knight and his team (Charlie and Savana, whom I worked with) were all great and very responsive. They were helpful in walking us through the process as repairing surprise water damage is not something we are used to dealing with every day; they are very used to it. Qwik Response is a quality water damage restoration company. If you have a sewer backup it is best to get it handled properly. Not doing so will cost you more in the long run. Qwik Response took care of our situation in a responsive professional manner. They exceeded my expectations.

Steve and team saved our bacon when we had an unknown water issue at our house, which of course happened on a Friday at 6 pm when all other contractors are done for the week. They were prompt, knowledgeable, professional, and completely unflappable. I was out of town and they took care of everything. I hope to never have a similar emergency again but if I did, I would only call the team at QwikResponse.

Qwik Response provided a quality bid, reviewed it with me line by line, and answered all my questions. They put me on their schedule promptly and showed up as scheduled. The work was completed on time with no complications. The popcorn ceilings containing asbestos were removed and disposed of properly.

We were away on vacation, and when we returned we found our entire house had been flooded from a broken feed line to the back of a toilet. We got in touch with Qwik Response through a referral from a friend and we are SO GLAD WE DID.They arrived within 2 hours of our call and worked for several days removing 3000 sq feet of wood flooring as well as all the drywall up to about 3 feet.Their employees are excellent and very hard and skilled workers, as well as being great people. It took 14 days with about two dozen heated fans and air scrubbers to dry out the portion of the house affected by the flooding. I give them my highest rating in every category and strongly recommend anyone with an emergency such as ours, or any really, to call the great people at Qwik Response over any other company available here in Santa Barbara. THEY ARE THE BEST and their 'quick response' to our situation was the sole reason that mold didn't start growing that would have caused much more serious damage since most insurance (ours too) has very limited coverage for mold.We are on the road to getting our house back thanks to them!!!

Only based on the person driving the truck next to me. There is a very known construction site on hollister in OTG. He chose with his large truck to abandon proper merging knowledge and cut through the line that was forming. I gave him adequate space to merge yet he chose poor etiquette in order to save what, a few seconds? Unacceptable.

WOW. Nothing but professionalism from the time the phone was picked up to the the last drop of paint drying. The emergency crew arrived promptly, the explained everything. Their equipment was clean and well maintained. They taped down all of their cords and hoses to prevent tripping and took all of my art work into consideration when they set their equipment up. 10/10 will call them again if I need them.

QwikResponse did a good job with the mold remediation and kitchen renovation. They were respectful of safety measures during Covid-19 restrictions. They made suggestions and incorporated our input feedback. We were able to get all of our questions and requests answered. The work seems to be quality work and materials. Compared to some other people we spoke with and estimates that we got, Qwik Response gave us the best impression and seems to have delivered.Everybody at QwikResponse seemed to be knowledgeable. If folks didn't have an answer for us, they would connect us with people who did instead of making things up. They were patient, professional, and helpful with all of my newbie questions.The office staff at QwikResponse impressed me with their timeliness and follow-through. Everybody I spoke with was professional and helpful. They do seem dedicated to customer service and satisfaction. All of the staff I spoke with had great follow-through and professionalism.In particular, Kevin Smith impressed me with his knowledge and honesty about my options for mold remediation. Charlie Baker seems to really know his stuff and did a great job explaining the different options, forms, line items, etc. to me - somebody who is new to all of this as this is my first remodel/remediation. Steven Delgadillo was extremely helpful navigating invoices and payments.This was my first mold remediation/renovation.
