Mark and his staff are helpful and have been taking care of my business and personal accounting and tax needs for almost 20 years. He keeps on me , which I need ! as I don't like accounting at all. He understands my limits and has created a system that works. I can highly recommend him for both Personal and Business Accounting and Tax needs.

Sadly I had the same experience that Will had. I "inherited" Mark when I bought a business and while he was ok with small tasks here and there, he was completely unwilling to work with my accounting software, and sat on my Fed tax returns for over 6 months. Many unanswered emails and phone calls later, and a pressing deadline, I have taken my business elsewhere. At the recommendation of Will I went to McGowan and Guntermann. They seem MUCH more helpful.

I went to Mark Pasternak for advice and assistance with accounting and taxes for a newly formed, small business. Mark spent approximately 30 minutes with me, explaining how various expenses should be recorded in Quickbooks. Afterward, he sent me home with a list of documents he would need to file my taxes. I provided Mark with what he needed via email and he did not respond. I sent several follow-up emails asking if he could move forward with helping with our taxes. Mark NEVER responded. Once I realized that Mark would not be helpful, I requested TWICE that he return my documents I provided in our first meeting and he still NEVER RESPONDED. I see that his website is still running so I assume he is still running a business. His lack of communication with me is pathetic. I have taken my business to McGowan and Guntermann and they have been outstanding. I happily pay my accounting and tax bills to McGowan and Gunterman, not Mark Pasternak.
