Room is not as advertised. They show pictures of remdodeled bathrooms and rooms but give you the crappier one. Pictures showed towels folded nicely in a fan, all the amendments there. We didnt get that at all nor even tissue paper. A king size bed is really a full size (its smaller than my queen size at home). They didnt let us know that there would be construction so you hear them work 15 ft away from your room with power tools throughout the whole day. They were moving lots of large furniture and passed our room a lot bumping into things making a lot of noise. No 24 hr concierge and they are only here a small handful of hours per day. Would not recommend this place at all.
The only good thing is that there was plenty of parking on prem and on street and it was a block from the beach.

More motel-y than hotel-y. Location great walkable distance to the beach and maybe 15-20min walk to the wharf.
Parking is free but first come first serve. Otherwise you'd have to find parking on the street.
The room was fine itself. No mini fridge, no microwave. Our room's TV did not have any signal at all even with trying to adjust the wires behind the TV. Main light in the room was dim so had to use all the other lights available. No deadbolt lock on the door which I tend to prefer especially since anybody could walk around the hotel premises.
Wifi was so bad, even reception was bad my phone could not get a decent signal. So would not recommend to stay here if you need wifi signal.

I had reserved a room for one night. On my drive up to Santa Barbara I got a flat tire on the freeway 100 miles away. Check-in time was 3pm, I called Pacific Crest Hotel before the 3pm check-in time and explained that I had a flat tire and would not be able to make it. The person at the hotel said that we'd have to get a refund by calling Orbitz and then have them call the hotel back. I worked with Orbitz - they were extremely helpful - and Orbitz rep said they'd give a refund if the hotel would approve. While I was on the phone w/ the Orbitz representative, they called the hotel (this was around 4pm the same day) - the person at the hotel said that the manager wasn't available and to call back later. In the end, Orbitz could not get them to respond with any sort of refund or credit at all. Come on, it's December 26 and the hotel was not sold out and it was not a "high season" week. Pacific Crest Hotel just took my money even though there was no way I could get there due to circumstances beyond my control.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights last weekend and can’t wait to go back! It’s so refreshing to get excellent customer service these days. Our room was in a great location and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings…it was so peaceful. Maybe it was a slow weekend but the area and hotel were extremely quiet at night. No kid’s running up and down halls or doors slamming. While their office isn’t open 24/7 like a chain hotel, they’re very easy to contact and the owner was very responsive. I needed something during “off” hours and I texted the number we were given and the owner was there in about 2 minutes. I didn’t have to make multiple calls to the front desk like other hotels. The owner gave us a couple excellent recommendations for restaurants, one is within walking distance at the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay….now trying to figure out when we can come back!!

Had a lovely stay at the Pacific Crest. The room was good sized, well decorated, with just the right touches. The bed, linens, & pillows have us shopping for our own home - they were that comfortable. The location was unbeatable; just 3/4 block from the smooth, silky sands of a beautiful Santa Barbara beach and a 10 minute drive to State Street and it's wide variety of entertainment and food offerings. The owner, Greg, made us feel welcome and went out of his way to provide recommendations. If we plan another trip to the area the Pacific Crest will definitely be our go to destination.

Stayed for a night as a single woman alone. It was nice room and perfect location. Service was nice but the man at the front desk insisted on taking me directly to my room. He was polite but it made me uncomfortable as there was no deadbolt lock on the door from the inside. I felt uncomfortable to fall asleep knowing I couldn’t deadbolt it and ended up using a chair pushed against the door. Overall okay stay, would be a 5 star if there was locks on the door and the man at the desk didn’t insist on taking me inside my room.

1. This is NOT a luxury hotel. It is a very pleasant, peaceful boutique hotel that has been lovingly cared for.2. This is owned/managed by humans and not a corporation. It is NOT a party venue. It is NOT a place where you can check in after nine. So don't mess around all day in Solvang an expect to arrive late. It isn't happening. The decor is great. The room is clean. The pool is clean. The attentive service is great. Establish a good texting relationship with the owner and all your needs are met. Even when my friend thought he had lost his key, after checkout, they did a thorough search for us. (We found it at the next hotel instead.). It is convenient to the city bus (6 dollar all day pass), and of course there is Lyft. It is quiet, peaceful, and thoroughly enjoyable. I will definitely go back whenever I return to Santa Barbara.

I was a bit nervous as I came in just a few minutes before the 9PM check-in deadline, and the owners could not have been anymore kind upon checking me in. Room is spacious and clean! Looking forward to the rest of my stay.
