Young guy working on Saturday morning 10/1 asked me to leave my backpack at the front. There's a woman walking around with a backpack right in front of us and he says nothing. He needs to be trained properly. Otherwise, good store. I have been going here for a year or two.

Really great spot with a huge diversity of merchandise across all categories. Cool shelf in the front window. Bought a poker chip set and the owner was super nice to me and others. Great shop and worth a stop in.

From LA, Antiquing that whole day one October weekend with hubby, and the last store was almost closing. Took a picture of something that caught my eye as I was leaving, cute lamp tucked in corner front window. Gold or brassy matches my decor. Returned next day, friendly staff, practicing social distancing, hand sanitizer and mask , we agreed on a price. Not knowing until we got home, it’s a nice mid-century Sight Light by M.G.Wherler. It was on the sticker hid interior under the top cover. Not knowing who that was, I only saw it when i took off the top to dust the inside. Nice find original it seems after further reasearch, it’s a known maker in Connecticut. Good price too. Highly recommend going in.

Buyer beware. Teenaged daughter just came home with a bashed up guitar missing strings and with two gouges in it that she paid $250 for at this operation. (Talked the "dealer" down from $300, a price reduction from its original $400.) Dealer claimed be bought it in Madrid. This guitar is 50 years old, but that just means it's old not an antique. It's a mass-produced guitar to begin with. It's an Admira Juanita. Googled the guitar brand and found a brand new one costs $250. I called the store and asked politely for a partial refund. The woman who answered gaslit me, played d**** said "do your research" before buying (I wasn't with my daughter; she isn't saavy enough to know how these operations work.) I told her I did my research as soon as my daughter came home and I was calling to tell them they took advantage of her age and told her a story about the guitar's history (my guess is the guy bought it for $20 at a garage sale). Call ended with the woman saying she'd talk to the seller, and then mocking said, "I'll tell him, Mom doesn't like the price." Wow.

Be surprised by the great record collection - definitely worth it for those music enthusiasts. Music instruments and all kinds of antique goodies at this cool store. Paul and Larry are always cool and friendly. My 5 stars go to the experience you get at this little gem in the heart of SB.

At least eight young men walked in (college student types) on Monday, 09/28/2020, and filled the space with more people. Physical distancing was not possible yet no one working there said anything. Left the location as soon as possible.
