I would like to join the crowded ranks of negative reviewers below. I spent quite a bit of money at this store and when they delivered a non working heater the owner, Hugh, refused to cover the cost to repair it (a tiny fraction of the cost of the item). Not only did he deliver a heater that would not turn on, he was then extremely defensive and rude over the phone. I do not recommend shopping here.

We were staying in Summerland and passed by this location. The items were very unique and very outdoorsy. By the way this is not a seasonal store, they sell outdoors and indoor items all year round.

We have made two purchases here- The first was last year. Happy with purchase. That was last year. In April I placed an order of non stock pieces. The sales woman told me it would be July. so when I called the first week of July, she very curtly told me " I told you it would be mid July" and I said "ok". I guess she didn't realize that that before she hung up she said "oh my god..."..Manners, manners, Missy. You're dealing with the public.. btw- I have to say- she is only polite after you are actually interested in purchasing (maybe if you are a new customer and she's not familiar with you- she may be SHY) as she only looks up if you approach her at her desk and ask her about an item ) That said, Mr. Hayward is very friendly and greets you before you ask for something. Product is exquisite. The review is for the saleswoman- not Haywards, btw. And she's getting a 2 star because the transaction last year was a positive experience. Hm- law of averages.

I was pleased to find that Hayward's is now carrying more interesting lines of patio furniture than they have in the past. But, and it's a big BUT, on a recent visit I was ignored when I wanted help from a salesperson who was busy at her desk writing something. She did not even lift her head to acknowledge my presence. She was not polite enough to say, I'll be with you in a minute or sorry to keep you waiting, after I stood in front of her for several long minutes. I will take my business elsewhere.
