I found myself in a bit of a pickle when vacationing and Santa Barbara and my last night there my drivetrain malfunction morning came on and my BMW 6 series. I was 2 and 1/2 hours from home and unsure who I could trust. I read so many reviews and decided to call Haik's first thing the next morning. I was worried when I had to leave a message that no one would get back to me, but shortly thereafter Haik himself called me back, and not only was very helpful but was very empathetic! He fit my car in the same day and was willing to talk with my extended warranty company. I had to leave my car due to the extent of the problem in my partner had to be at work the next day. Haik was very informative. He explained the problem well and also clearly has a passion for his work! I was able to travel back to Santa Barbara within a few days to pick up my car and I'm very pleased with the quality of the work and service there!

Not impressed. Was not a positive experience. Did not feel the owner was genuine or truly cared. He had a temper as well and felt I could not trust him. He had a judgmental attitude and I was not comfortable, therefore can't recomnend.

Haik is wonderful! He does great, quick work and he's incredibly honest and trustworthy. The dealership told me that I needed rear brake pads and rotors and quoted me $750 to replace them. I took my vehicle to Haik because he had done my front brakes for a fraction of what the dealership charged. He measured the pads and told me that I had more than enough left and that I didn't even need the rear brakes done! When I eventually do need the rear brakes done I'll absolutely be taking my vehicle back to him. Highly recommend his shop!

Great experience! Brought my newly purchased, pre-owned 2018 Porsche Macan into Haik to change the oil and do a detailed inspection. He got the car in the next day, gave a fair and fully transparent estimate, and gave honest feedback. Had a fun time chatting about cars before and after. It's awesome to find a friendly, reliable, local option to the Porsche dealership. Highly recommend!

I wanted to find a German vehicles specialist, who knows VW; instead of using the dealership. Dealerships tend to be more expensive and tend to try and sell you or replace items that do not need replacing. Haik is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable of German vehicles. Working with Haik was very easy. His prices were much more reasonable than the dealerships.Haik is great with communicating what needs to be done and answers your questions. Basically, needed his shop to perform the 50,000 mile service that I have done annually. Called me during the day to provide updates or to ask me about previous service actions from the dealership. I recommend his shop to anyone that needs service and repairs for their German vehicles. I am so glad I found a business that takes care of their customers. When I brought my vintage S500 here, getting involved in a political discussion was not on my agenda. I'm quite busy, and needed a quick evaluation without any B.S. I was immediately accosted by (presumably) the owner, who started yelling that no one was "allowed in my shop" (I had approached the service bay only after encountering an office with an uninviting plastic chain blocking the entrance). He then began screaming something incoherent - due to the commie cover on his face, I was only able to decipher something about "COVID-19" - then he demanded I "put on a mask" (I was standing outside at that point), and accused me of being a Republican (I'm not). Not a great impression so far. Hoping to get away from being browbeaten with leftist ideology and begin discussing my Mercedes, I informed him that I'm a practicing medical professional, one well-versed in virology and epidemiology at that. Somehow, COVID had became a point of contention between myself and a guy working at a garage. I tried to steer the conversation back to my car. He retorted that he had a "master's in English literature." What's concerning is not that so much that he has no credentials that would allow him to speak authoritatively on topics he deems himself expert on, but rather that he is impervious to reason. Read the other negative Yelp reviews - there are plenty - and a picture emerges of someone who is entitled, refuses to take responsibility for shoddy work, and then blames the customer when things go wrong. Not that such qualities are unheard of among leftists, of course, but they are not a good combination of characteristics to find in someone who will be tinkering with your $100,000 car. This guy is for the contingent of limousine liberals living in Santa Barbara (who will no doubt appreciate everything from his irrational fear of COVID to his effete master's degree), but definitely not for anyone else. Go to one of the many other fine Mercedes mechanics in town.

This place is the best! After having my Mercedes serviced and repaired here, it has never run better - even with over 110K miles on it! It might take a little longer than other places, but it will be done right. Haik tells you the truth about what is going on with your car, is clear about whether it is urgent to fix, and discusses in frank terms how much it will cost and why. I've never felt taken advantage of here and I trust him. That's exceptionally difficult to find out there!

It’s rare to come across good people that are honest especially in the automotive industry. Haik was extremely helpful and upfront regarding the type of service he was going to provide. We had our Audi that needed brakes and instead of telling us that all of brakes needed to be changed, he was honest and told us exactly what needed to be replaced. I am new to the area and needed some electrical work done to fix a turn signal issue on my Cayenne. Haik was easy to schedule an appointment with, he gave me an estimated cost before doing the work and then repaired the problem perfectly. A few weeks later I needed another problem fixed with my transmission and Haik was just as thorough, and did everything perfectly. He even walked me back to the shop to show me the part that had broken and was replaced. Professional, polite, honest and fair. What else do you need?!Services: Steering/Suspension
