By far , CVS on Cliff Drive has been the most helpful pharmacy I've ever been too. I have not once had a problem filling any medication at this location. The former Pharmacy Manager Lucy was a wonderful young lady. The new Pharmacy Manger Suraj is also very helpful - no problems so far :)

Avoid this pharmacy if you can. They NEVER answer their phone. My script status is always “processing” or “out of stock” and will stay like that for days and days! Line is always super long and the pharmacist is rude.

Switched pharmacies due to poor treatment at another pharmacy, and as soon as I called to pick up my medication (one of which was long due to be refilled) I was berated by the pharmacist who heavily, HEAVILY insinuated I switched pharmacies to get my medications early? I know when to get my meds. I was simply calling for ONE of my meds. I switched to rite aid after being talked down to like I'm some kind of drug fiend. I switched for just that reason. Big mistake. Learn some damn humanity, pharmacist, whatever your name is. Or leave. Either/or. Thanks

What’s wrong with the CVS pharmacy on Cliff Drive? They’re so under staffed and every time you go to pick-up your prescription it’s either not ready or the line is down the aisle. It took almost 40 minutes to pickup my prescription. With CVS being one of the top pharmacies in the United States they are failing in the worst way.

I like the staff the very informative and friendly, but the building is being let go, The carpet is old and stained there are vent plates missing and dust coming from the attic space, you can even see where water damage has occurred by the vents. It's just not well maintained.

It's the best CVS pharmacy I've used in Santa Barbara. The lines are short and friendly associates.

Tried to call pharmacy two times waiting 10 minutes. Finally drove down w my script only to have them tell me it was not in stock. Tried then to sell me OTC meds that would have been 10 times cost of my script!!Went to another CVS that had plenty of my desired script.

Unbelievable. Long lines at pharmacy, people getting texts as they stood there saying their prescriptions were ready and they weren’t. CVS didn’t pick up my electonically sent prescription from my doc for the emergency Covid antiviral drug. They only found it when my daughter showed up at the pharmacy and then said “ no prescription code on the order” which sounds very odd. Can’t fill it. They said they’d contact my Dr but it may take a few days. Avoid CVS on Cliff Dr.

Called in for a prescription that they needed to check in with my insurance for authorization that happened over 3 weeks ago, I received no call in regards that it was covered or not until I called in. Once I called the pharmacist was extremely condescending and rude, when talking to me telling me my insurance doesn't normally cover it even though it was covered. Once I went to pick my prescription up I heard him on the phone being extremely rude and condescending to a customer on the phone, once he hung up he complained very loudly to his staff saying "see this is what I have to deal with" I had questions about my prescription but after these events I was very uncomfortable and deterred to ask. After being treated like this and seeing that this is his standard of treating customers I will not be coming back to this location.

This place is always busy, maybe because of the location. So the service at the pharmacy is a hit or miss because it's so busy. But I do appreciate that the company hires people of color. What I don't appreciate is the constant rotation of faces. Some of the pharmacists and techs are absolute nightmares, and some are absolute saints. It could be because they are overworked and understaffed during this very stressful time. I very much appreciate how CVS makes it so easy to sign up online for vaccines, and how easy they make it to check in electronically. I wanted to get vaccinated at CVS, because it is a nationally known chain, and would have my records anywhere I may end up traveling within the US. I also trusted them to be able to report my information to the CA government, and I trusted that they would be providing unexpired vaccines, and following strict protocol, due to the sheer volume that the company has, and the scrutiny that they could experience if they messed up. I came here because I trusted the brand and they continue to be my go to pharmacy.

This is the CVS in University City. The place was well stocked and not too busy. We got what we came in for and left. It was fine.

I don't understand how a pharmacy can be so disorganized. I have never had a problem with any other pharmacy in town (including the other CVS). This one is closest to my house so had some prescriptions switched over. Over half of the time they're out of stock or haven't even started on the prescription hours after it's been sent there. Today, my doctor told me she had sent the request, I checked their website and saw they had the order in. I waited four hours before finally driving over. They told me they had just got the request and it would be another hour. Every time I'm told it will be at least an hour. Doesn't matter if you go right when they open and you know you're the only one there. It will still be an hour. I really feel that they purposely provide terrible service so customers choose the other CVS in town so they have less work.

I had a time-sensitive problem (allergic reaction) and my doctor called in a prescription. I arrived at this pharmacy to purchase the medicine. They had it in stock, it was prepped and ready to go, it was covered by my insurance, but they wouldn't give it to me. No one explained why. The pharmacy staff person suggested (with a completely straight face) that I return in a couple of days and "try again." I went home with nothing while my face swelled up.After calls with my doctor, who was as equally baffled as I was, a different pharmacist staff person called and apologized for the mix-up, and I made another trip out to pick up the medicine, which they gave to me without issue. What I can say is this—Four hours makes a big difference when it comes to allergic reactions.
