Store hours posted on website and at the entrance say open at 7am but store was still locked shut at 8:43am today. I have been here on a Sunday afternoon a few times and the poor soul who is the only employee working happens to also be the supervisor. This place is losing business and loyal customers. I went to Rite Aid and they were open Bye bye CVS

For decades, I was a loyal customer of CVS on Cliff Drive. Great customer service, very convenient location, and it was my go-to for my prescriptions/beauty products/etc... Today, I went to return an Aspercreme Lidocaine product as it was not effective for pain. To my surprise, I was told I could no longer return a product that was used. I was never told that their policy had changed. They referred me to the CVS customer service general phone #. I tried that to no avail (if you dare to prompt one of their numbers, the phone immediately disconnects). I tried 2 other customer service numbers with the same outcome. I phoned the store manager and spoke with a woman (she claimed she was the manager but did not share her name) who said I didn't know how to use the phone and should ask help from someone else so I could properly make the call. Her tone was infuriating. When I asked her name, she hung up. I then phoned the CVS on State Street, explained the problem, and the supervisor said that I could return the product to their store, that they had no such policy in place. I drove to that store and received my money back. Unless I receive an apology and explanation as to why I received such treatment, I will never step foot in the place again! Beware of going in there. I don't know if management changed or what is happening at that store. It was like being in a twilight zone! Very curious as to whether or not they will bother to contact me!

I'm not sure what happened to this store in the past few years, but it was one of the worst experiences I've had at a CVS. The shelves were out of stock, the employees seemed like they really didn't want to be there, and there was a general depressed feeling. I hope I never need to go back there.

This 5-Star review is primarily because of one guy in the pharmacy: the pharmacist Suraj.I know it's a smaller store and that some folks have had less than stellar experiences from time to time, but the good tales should be told too.Suraj has worked so exceptionally hard to keep refilling a life-saving prescription that is incredibly difficult to keep in stock. Supply is lower than demand nationwide, and I've never had so much trouble and stress filling a monthly prescription before. So much so, that in spite of my love for all the great pharmacy folks at the Mesa Rite Aid, I finally had to move a couple prescriptions over to Suraj at CVS. He seems to be the only guy who can fill them, even though there have been delays.In talking to both of the pharmacists at Rite Aid (the awesome Negar) and CVS (Suraj), I learned that the system at CVS allows Suraj to do something Negar has told me she cannot. It allows him to look at the supply chain and see what's in the system. At least that's how I understood it. Apparently Rite Aid is unable to do that so you're left just waiting and wondering if I high demand prescription will ever get filled. ??♂️Suraj is warm on the phone, really works hard to get these low-supply prescriptions in before I run out (I'm "lucky" enough to have 2 that have national supply issues), and phones to update me when necessary. I wish I could praise him to his boss, but have still yet to find a way to do so.Especially since COVID, the work that pharmacists have to do has got to be at least 2 or 3 times more difficult than it was before. I just appreciate how hard he tries to make one customer happy and properly supplied with what the doctor ordered. I'm sure I'm not the only one he does that with.Thank you, Suraj.I hope someone calls your boss's attention to this and that he gives you a bonus or a RAISE! ??

Amazing staff at the pharmacy!! I would give 5* if it wasn't for one indian appearing man that is completely awful, and unfortunately I believe he is a manager. All the other staff members have been absolutely wonderful. I rushed to the store after talking to this man on the phone. He assured me I could get my prescription if I rushed in with proof that I don't have Medi-Cal insurance, which I had proof of. My doctor gave me a discount code to get my rx because I don't have insurance. I found a letter stating I did not and took a $20 Lyft to get there based on his word that I could get my prescription should he see my proof. When I get there his story changes and he pretends I need proof of a different insurance. I frantically began searching for proof of that online and he says "it doesn't matter your prescription isn't even filled". I am female and I imagine this situation would have gone very differently had I been male. The number of blatant lies this man told kept me from receiving a very necessary medication, despite being willing to pay for it. Apparently it is illegal to deny me from paying for my prescription in the first place. So not only was this man lying but also breaking the law. Again all other staff members have been of the utmost help and extremely gracious, empathetic and wonderful. If you see this man, I suggest you leave and come back another day.

Consistently awful. Regularly mess up generic for name brand. Tell you 20 min and when you come back they tell you another 30 minutes. Don’t use this place ever. They don’t care and it shows.

Switched pharmacies due to poor treatment at another pharmacy, and as soon as I called to pick up my medication (one of which was long due to be refilled) I was berated by the pharmacist who heavily, HEAVILY insinuated I switched pharmacies to get my medications early? I know when to get my meds. I was simply calling for ONE of my meds. I switched to rite aid after being talked down to like I'm some kind of drug fiend. I switched for just that reason. Big mistake. Learn some damn humanity, pharmacist, whatever your name is. Or leave. Either/or. Thanks

I had a person with a disability that needed to get vaccinated. I had visited other places, and I was unsuccessful with getting her to be cooperative. She was not being very nice. This pharmacist was professional, nice, fast and very patient! thank you for making this visit a great experience for both of us (my visit was on 10/14/22).

This is mainly about the pharmacy, and they are good folks. I always ask questions about my new prescriptions and the pharmacists are always there to help. They could answer their phone a little faster though! Rest the store the staff are pretty good as well.

Tried to call pharmacy two times waiting 10 minutes. Finally drove down w my script only to have them tell me it was not in stock. Tried then to sell me OTC meds that would have been 10 times cost of my script!! Went to another CVS that had plenty of my desired script.

Called in for a prescription that they needed to check in with my insurance for authorization that happened over 3 weeks ago, I received no call in regards that it was covered or not until I called in. Once I called the pharmacist was extremely condescending and rude, when talking to me telling me my insurance doesn't normally cover it even though it was covered. Once I went to pick my prescription up I heard him on the phone being extremely rude and condescending to a customer on the phone, once he hung up he complained very loudly to his staff saying "see this is what I have to deal with" I had questions about my prescription but after these events I was very uncomfortable and deterred to ask. After being treated like this and seeing that this is his standard of treating customers I will not be coming back to this location.
