I had the worst customer service experience here today! I was thinking how completely bizarre it was and then after reading previous reviews, I see the owner of this store is a repeat offender! I walked into the store, looking for a dress shirt for my husband, when a bothered, somewhat disheveled woman abruptly asked if I needed help. I very nicely stated I was just looking for a dress shirt for my husband as I started to pull one off the rack, she stated we do not have dress shirts in this town, as if I don't live here, which I do. I was dressed very nicely, so I don't understand her treatment of me or her assumption. I mentioned to her that Montecito does indeed sell dress shirts, in fact, right across the street at K Frank . At that point, she began laughing in my face and dismissed my concern that her behavior was extremely rude. I immediately left the store, but was so frustrated that I turned back to ask for her name and the store owners name because I would like to report her behavior and unprofessionalism. She started laughing and said I hope you do because I am the owner! I asked her very directly are you the manager of the store or do you own the store? She said I own the store ! I told her I partially did not believe her, but told her she must be because no employee would ever behave This rudely to a customer. She reiterated that she was the owner and then proceeded to ask me what was wrong in my life, and why I was such an unhappy person! are you kidding me? I was completely nice and professional, and her behavior was nothing less than strange and aggressive. during this entire encounter, she was shouting and speaking over me for no apparent reason I have never in my 54 years experienced something like this! Her horrible treatment of someone she has never met was just awful. I am not sure what brands are affiliated with her store but beware if you're merchandise is in her store, you may want to reconsider. She is not a good representation. In fact, she is a detriment! I am thoroughly confused by this encounter, I walked into her store with a smile on my face and kindly told her I was in need of a dress shirt for this evening for my husband. I don't know how it escalated so quickly, but as another yelp comment has stated the only word to explain the interaction was bizarre! as she was yelling at me, other customers were walking in the store. UPDATE: This woman indeed lied, she is not the owner of the store. Apparently she is the manager. I repeatedly asked for clarification on this, she boldly stated she was the owner.
