Bob knows the cars he services. I have an Aston Martin. He identified the trouble quickly. Repaired it quickly and taught me a lot of things about driving the car to get the most out of it. The right man to repair your English car in Santa Barbara.

Bob IS AWESOME! He helped me with something I REALLY cared about, and he did it on his time. I cannot speak highly enough of him. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this Englishman, he is professional, intelligent, committed, and caring. I enjoyed spending part of an afternoon learning and sharing with him. THANK YOU BOB!

Bob, was utterly misleading regarding his knowledge and capabilities regarding the installation of a tow hitch and wiring harness. His guidance to me was:-Order the hitch myself through e trailer-he would secure the wiring harness-he would complete the entire install-he would configure the towing update for the computerI researched the hitch options as directed and then visited his shop to gain his advice on the two options available for my vehicle. Bob simply said pick either one. -I purchased the hitch and forwarded the tracking info, VIN number to Bob-I followed up in person one day prior to the hitch arrival-Bob guarantee it would be installed that week given the Tuesday or even Wednesday delivery but refused to schedule a specific day until the hitch arrived. Bob went silent, left town and refused to allow his technicians to schedule the install for that week as promised. His technicians contacted him and he did call me to schedule the install on Monday (today, 6/20/22). By now you probably can guess...no installation. Upon my arrival I was told the wiring harness for my VIN(?) should have been order with the hitch which is 100% contrary to Bob's directions. Quick note re: VIN-I sent the VIN at the time of the order of the hitch as Bob requested. Bob then took a picture of the VIN during my next visit. I then sent Bob a picture of the VIN as he requested when we rescheduled the install. This morning I was told that I, the layperson who repeatedly inquired of Bobs expertise, provided the wrong VIN number AND did not do my research. Really?!?!I suggest you approach this shop with extreme skepticism. Find another shop at the first sign of doubt. I wish I had recognized the warning sign(s) immediately.

The first time I took my Jaguar to Bob, he saved me $2,200. I had recently been told by a different mechanic that I needed some expensive part replaced immediately, so I drove over to Bob's garage for a second look. He took a look and determined that the part was just fine and didn't need to be replaced. That is the kind of honest person Bob is. On another occasion, while in Montana, my Range Rover started leaking gasoline all over the garage. I was about 250 miles away from anyone who knew anything about Range Rovers. I called Bob and he walked me through exactly how to replace the leaky fuel filter. I was able to make it home safely without getting stranded. Without Bob, I wouldn't be able to drive my dream vehicle. He has saved me several thousand dollars and lots of stress and worry. Bob is genuinely one of the most trustworthy people I have ever met in my life. He has also been working on Land Rovers almost twice as long as I have been alive! If I could give him more than 5 stars I most certainly would.

Bob has been taken care of my Jaguar since 2004 and the car runs great with out the drama like other places I've utilized. I enjoy his can -do attitude, his getting the work done when promised and the reasonable prices.

Bob is very reliable and good Jaguar mechanic. He serviced my Jaguar for 4 years now. He's maintaining the cars just like you expect from the dealer (without the extra bucks). He is honest and a man of his word, try to find another one in the car repair business. His work meets high standards and when something doesn't meet that he will acknowledge and solve it with minimal extra costs. By being smart he already saved me a lot of money.

Bob is a remarkable mechanic. He knows Jaguars inside out and top to bottom. He also knows Land Rovers well, and I believe he works on them as well (can't swear to that, but I bet he would accept yours if you just asked). Most importantly, he is a man of great integrity and honesty. He will discuss in detail what your car needs, or DOESN'T need, and he will explain it so you understand. The mechanics he employs follow his lead. They are friendly and helpful, and terrifically skilled. This is the only car repair place at which I have ever been charged far LESS than the estimate. That alone makes this shop number one in my book, but on all points, I simply can't recommend it highly enough.

Bob has been a saving grace to me over the last 3 years. I purchased a used Range Rover Sport in LA and 20 miles down the road the check engine light came on and "transmission failure" popped up..uh oh! I first took the car to a mechanic after the seller refused to do anything to help and told me to take him to court. The first two mechanics I took it to told me that my car was totaled in the transmission was just the beginning and that I would have to put at least 15,000 into make the car drivable. At this point I was ready for a meltdown but decided to get one last opinion so I took it to Bob as a last attempt to verify all previous Mechanic claims. Bob was very compassionate and honest fixing a few issues in about 20 minutes and didn't charge me for them at all. Keep in mind these minor issues that he knew exactly how to solve within 20 minutes were quoted as a $5000 fix in problem with my engine pump from the previous mechanics. Bob save me a ton of time, grief and money and got my transmission taken care of and back on the road. My Range Rover sport is been the best truck I've ever had and I never have to worry about it as Bob is always honest with me and tells me what I should fix now and what I can wait to fix later. I couldn't give Bob a higher recommendation as he literally saved the day and continues to decline opportunities to charge me when he says I'm being overly worried and nothing needs to be worked on for several more months. I read a review on here from a gentleman who had an issue with his belt that went out after Bob worked on it and I am sorry to hear that but I do want to clarify that I can only go off of my own experience and it has been top notch with the integrity that all the previous mechanics I have worked with lacked. If you have a Land Rover or jaguar this would be the only shot I would ever take it to including the dealership after they tried to charge me for problems that did not exist.

It appears to me by the unusually complimentary reviews that conveniently followed my one-star​ review, that Mr. Jarrett has somehow coerced these 5-star reviews. They all speak of honesty and trustworthiness and are gushy and seem obviously compensated in some manner. I am not saying that he does not have some happy customers, but he certainly did not honor his work on our car and a judge had to force him to do so.
