This is a sunny, tidy, and delightful inn right at the main thoroughfare along the beach. Get the right room, and you have a nice view towards the harbor, a little balcony enjoy it, and a clean room to boot. Moreover, the lobby has an area to hang out, next to the breakfast area, with large windows streaming in the sun. Plus, the included breakfast is good -- with generous portions of available fruit and warm foods like eggs. We would stay here again.

Room was clean and well presented, location right on the beach was awesome. Unfortunately the receptionist was terrible. Check in was 4pm and we were told in not so many words to go away and come back at 5pm. No apology just very aggressive angry lady who screamed at housekeeping staff and blamed them. The room was missing bedding for fold out couch and extra towel for our daughter. When we went to ask for it again the same receptionist was rude and unhelpful. If I owned this beachside accommodation the first thing I would do is staff with better hospitality staff. We considered leaving but had pre-paid through a 3rd party.

Beautiful location and city. Staff was great with a quick check in and when we asked if it was possible to extend our stay. However, we were moved from a beautiful, large freshly renovated room on the hotel’s inside to a terrible, small, musty-sewer-smelling outer corner room on motel section for the second night. This was the downgrade of the century, even though it was priced similarly to the first large and beautiful room we’d just come from. I felt ripped off. I’ve never been in a room with such thin walls and such shakiness from any outside movement. Any person, cleaning cart, kid passing, or side door opening sounded like it was happening inside the room. Additionally, this room (109) has a SMELL. A sour sewer-y smell in the toilet room and shower stall like something’s rotting in the pipes. This room really shouldn’t be offered to any guests in the shape it’s in. Additionally, I’m seconding another reviewer who said to do a thorough check and NOT leave anything as housekeeping keeps things for themselves. After this nightmare of a second room, I went on to accidentally leave my AirPods on the side table. When I called later to see if they had been turned in to recover, I was told nothing had been reported or found by housekeeping. However my AirPods “Find My” still shows them active and in use close to the inn. Won’t ever stay again at a place that makes me feel scammed and doesn’t employ honest people, especially around the holidays.

During our recent two-night stay at the Beachside Inn, my partner and I had an overall positive experience. The spacious and well-cleaned room provided a comfortable setting for our short getaway. We were particularly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the front desk staff, including the manager, who contributed to a pleasant check-in process and overall stay.
The inn's amenities were very nice, enhancing our experience, and its location proved to be convenient. For guests traveling by car, the availability of parking is a significant advantage, especially considering the inn's likely proximity to popular coastal areas.
While the Beachside Inn offers breakfast options, we noticed a lack of choices for vegetarian guests. This limitation could be inconvenient for those with specific dietary restrictions or preferences. Introducing vegetarian-friendly items to the breakfast menu would significantly enhance the inn's appeal to a wider range of travelers.
In summary, the Beachside Inn provides a comfortable stay with clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and convenient amenities and location. However, expanding their breakfast options to include vegetarian choices would make it an even more appealing destination for all types of guests. Despite this minor drawback, our experience was generally pleasant, and the inn's positive attributes make it a solid choice for travelers visiting the area.

We stayed here for one night and it was really nice!
We had a room on the ground floor with a king size bed and a balcony.
Parking is available on site. (for free)
The room was very large and the bed was super comfortable!
Bathroom and toilet were separate.
The walk to the beach was only a few minutes.
We would definitely come back and can only recommend it!
Rooms: Very large, super spacious and super clean
Walkability: A few minutes from the beach
Food and drinks: The breakfast was very good!

Location, location, location. Otherwise meh. Couldn’t get the AC to work. No hot water for the shower. There is a ceiling fan and the window opens so we were able to cool the room. Had to close it overnight because of street noise. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff was great. We arrived right at 5 o’clock as happy hour was ending. They opened another bottle of wine so we could partake.

The location of the hotel was great but overall not worth the money. The bathroom in our room was awful! There wasnt hot water in the shower or from the bathroom sink! There's absolutely no excuse to not have a functional bathroom and not be able to take a hot shower. The bathrooms are not updated and need immediate refreshing! The toilet seat was broken, too. The pictures online are not what the rooms exactly look like in person. Its obvious that is the reason they don't show the bathrooms online. Other pluses, but dont makeup for not being able to take a hot shower: the hotel staff are nice, ample parking with EV charging.
Rooms: They basically put paneling on the wall behind the beds to make the room look more modern. The carpet is old! (Why they give thin slippers?) The bathroom esp shower room was tiny and you could see they have patched the tile in the shower multiple times. Just update it!

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE
After MULTIPLE phone calls and emails to DELFINA, the worst hotel manager on earth, no contact back from her to acknowledge our issues. $950 for a 2 night stay with a harbor view and we suffered with a toilet that spewed waste water every time it flushed plus a fan that made tons of noise when the bathroom light was on. Twice maintenance came by to try and fix it with no luck. They were sold out and could not move us to another room. The only thing they offered while we were staying there was 20% off a FUTURE STAY, like we would ever come back to this hellhole that hates their customers?! They ruined my birthday weekend celebration in Santa Barbara. I wish I could upload my videos of the toilet spewing waste water here.
Here's a copy of our written correspondence:
8/2/23:
I am just shocked that as a hotel manager you would have such little respect for your customers as to not even acknowledge our issues. We will be both going online tomorrow morning to every possible site online to post negative reviews about your hotel and include this correspondence and my videos. This is absolutely uncalled for and so unprofessional!

Hi Delfina,
I am so sorry to hear that you were ill last week but a full week has gone by since we checked out and we would just like acknowledgment from you that you are hearing our concerns. I am quite active on social media and I noticed this yelp review from just one month ago where this customer received a credit for one night for a loud a/c unit. We had a toilet that spewed waste water every time it flushed plus a fan that made a lot of noise from the bathroom light so what kind of credit can you apply to our account for our issues? We were also on the third floor and paid top dollar for a harbor view and there were no rooms available for us to move to. Maintenance came by twice to fix the toilet to no avail.
Thank you!

Hi Delfina,
It has been over 3 days since we checked out of your hotel. Chris and Jonathan were well informed about our situation and the notes were applied to our folio.
If we do not receive a resolution by the end of today, we will be contacting the department of health and post our reviews.
I look forward to your response.

Hi Delfina, please see the attached videos from our hotel room 318. We checked in on July 15 and out July 17. We paid almost $1000 for those two nights to celebrate my birthday visiting from Los Angeles. On the first night we noticed that the toilet when flushed spewed out WASTE WATER onto the bathroom floor. First thing Sunday morning I alerted the front desk woman who sent maintenance to take a look while we went out whale watching all day. When we returned late in the afternoon I called Jonathan because the toilet was not fixed and now the toilet was making a constant running sound in the bowl. (See video which also shows how loud our fan was when the light was turned on. It was incredibly loud and ruined our stay). He said he would call maintenance and call me back, but he didn’t. When we went left for dinner I mentioned it to him again. When we returned he said maintenance looked at it again and could not fix the issue and there were no rooms available to switch to. After about five phone calls back-and-forth between Jonathan and you late at night on my birthday, the best thing we were offered was 20% off a future stay. We do not want this offer. Our current stay was ruined with the situation and we would expect a discount off of our current charge. Ideally we would like one night comped. The condition of that toilet plus the loud fan and the bathroom in general is hardly worth $500 a

The rooms are clean and good size. I liked the way the bathroom was separated from the main room. The bed was comfortable enough to get sleep all night. Had a great view of the harbor and beach. We stayed on a 4th of July weekend so the fireworks show were great to watch on the balcony. My kids enjoyed staying here and we had a great time. I would definitely stay here again.
Rooms: The rooms with the balcony facing the harbor are gorgeous to sit and relax watching the cars go by in the street below.
Nearby activities: There is places to walk along the harbor in West Beach and ledbetter beach. A nice restaurant is right on the beach as well as the pier nearby. It is a good location if you are trying to stay near the harbor.
Safety: The parking lot was safe as were the rooms.
Noteworthy details: Incredible views of you get a room with a balcony. Close to the beach and harbor.
