scam artists--the lot is always full with cars needing maintenance, they have a 50% chance of actually fixing the issue and a 100% chance of cocky, arrogant attitude. At least know what you're doing if you're going to charge hundreds of dollars. Pretty much paid 800$ to park in their lot and collect dust while they "fixed" the issue

I was driving down the coast from Seaside to Los Angeles and I started to hear a scrape when we hit dips in the road. I pulled over and called the nearest auto shop. Ayers was about to close, but they said to come over. They quickly discovered something had become loose and a part was scraping the ground. They fixed it within 5 minutes and didn't charge at all. I was totally willing to pay as they saved me from not being able to get home. I am so grateful for their kindness and willingness to help me in a pinch. Thank you 1000%!

My goodness gracious. Ayer’s is wonderful! I had the pleasure of being helped out by Robert who was extremely kind and patient as I needed to push my appointment time. The location is prime and, of course, the service was exactly what I needed. I had trouble finding a place that would change my oil as my car requires a specific type, but no trouble here!

I have been going to Ayers for a long time. There don't over charge and work quikley to get my car back too me. They even washed the out side of my car. If I had to say something bad about them would be my streering was a little greasy hand prints.Over all I would recommended them and they are always nice. Thanks, sun

This was by far the best auto shop experience I have ever had, I brought my Honda Civic in and they took a look at it, fixed the light completely because it was out, and then let me know that it was free of cost because it was such a simple fix. By far the best experience ever, thank you so much!!! Recommend 11/10

My son had another problem with his car. Motor mounts and dirty brake fluid. I appreciate the full assessment of the car. Identifying potential problems and finding the little things. License plate lights were burnt. Saves time and money. Thanks Rob, Dan Padilla

My early 80's Corolla stalled on freeway on ramp and I assumed it was a fuel delivery problem. Ayer's Repair was the closest repair shop so I had my car towed there. After $1200.00 in "repairs" to the fuel system, my car stalled on the exact same on ramp as before. Frustrated, I contacted Ayer's and immediately met with push back - long story short, no accountability what so ever on the part Ayer's Repair. I was referred to another mechanic who properly diagnosed the problem - a clogged catalytic converter and back on the road for $150.00. Ayres Repair...HORRIBLE!!

Ayer’s took great care of me. Had them replace all the brake lines on my rusty Toyota Land Cruiser- I’m sure not a very common job out here in California. The job definitely took longer then they had expected as far as hours of labor charged, especially with all the headaches that come with a rust bucket car. They did not charge me more than the quoted number though, and were always honest with me. A little expensive for the hourly rate but that’s just how it goes in SB. I would definitely recommend them. Honest, quality work.

Went to Ayers once as a new customer for an oil change on my jeep. The work they did was fine, but the owner then tried to upsell me on ~$3000 of additional repairs and services that my car did NOT need. Maybe they are straight shooters with longtime customers, but I felt taken advantage of and will not be returning.

I swear they are paying people for good reviews or the people are so ignorant in the automotive department that they don't know how badly they are being F'd.F you AYERS! No one wants to talk to your know nothing wife!!! All she knows how to do is mark up prices and beat around the bush. The shop breaks the law on a daily basis. They are REQUIRED to return all replaced parts and the packaging of the new ones. They also MUST check the tire pressure in your tires and give a written report. All of this is FREE and required by law.Unfortunately it's a civil issue and no one is going to waste their time going to court over it.Long story short, this is the epitome of why people hate mechanics. "You need a new Johnson rod". "Never fear though, we'll ram that thing in nice and deep like"I hate this shop, ask ANY mechanic in town or even knowledgeable DIY'er's like myself. They prey on the ignorant and I wish them the absolute worst. This is exactly why they are th we ONLY shop in town to advertise on TV and Radio. The type of people who would get suckered in by a TV ad are exactly the type of ignorant people they love to "service".

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. I had oil service and full service check. This is where I've found you get stuck with extras . They serviced my 2018 Toyota 4Runner for the price quoted and washed it. Not sure where the bad reviews come from.

I'm not sure yet. Our car had a charging problem and they fixed it for I believe to be the proper $ amount. But the car is making a strange sound now. Not sure what's up yet. Could be anything. Will update if I have to.
