This place is grate the sales manager Herbert Santamaria got us in and out of course we had all the paper work ready to go. Helped us get the best deal and didn't beat around the bush. Definitely check this dealer out.

They do not care about their customers. It's their way or the highway. Doesn't matter who you talk to there, service rep., manager, they are all the same way .. rude... poor workmanship. Stay away from this dealership!

The representatives who handled my account were very kind and helpful. I usually had to call them to get updates as my car was there for over 2 months. They were kind with giving me loaner cars to drive after a while.The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is that when my car was finally returned to me the inside was covered in dirt- seats, dash, steering wheel, etc. I told them and they sent someone out to do a quick wipe. It was better but took much more time at home to get it clean and the ac is finally starting to smell normal after smelling like dirt every time I turn it on for the last few days.They said one of their techs must have left the windows cracked when the Santa Ana winds blew through.

This review is on VW as a coorporation on how bad they handle car warranty. My car is still under warranty. I had to pay $205 for diagnostic fee to find out that they are not capable to fix the issue at SouthCoast. The only dealer that can fix the car problem is in San Juan Capistrano. They made us pay out of pocket to tow our car to San Juan and the $205 diagnostic fee on the problem they can't fix, even acknowleding that the car battery is still under warranty (50K miles) and it is covered. This will be the last VW car I own.

Eric Lopez has been my service advisor for several years. I can always count on him to be honest while providing exceptional service. He takes time to talk through service options and needs at every appointment. He works well under pressure managing through difficult customers. I always feel confidient when leaving my car with him.

What an amazing car leasing process! Kudos to Brandon, Shawn, and Herb for making my wife and I feel the most comfortable leasing our first EV. They were patient as we explored all the leasing and purchasing options before making the best decision for us. We love our new ID.4 and will definitely be back to work with Brandon and his team in the future. I anticipate that if we have any issues with the car that we'll be able to come back to Brandon and his team for their help, guidance, and support. Highly recommend VW South Coast!

Mitch is always very helpful as he was this visit. They have this new service tool where they video the car check to show you what’s doing good and what needs some help. It really helped me recognize where the car needed work done. It was extremely helpful.

Scheduled a 7:10am appointment and didn’t get the estimate until the next day. Seems long and when I picked up the car there was no coolant in it after changing the water pump. With that being said, they communicated well, and immediately fixed the issue.

Santos is a top-notch customer focused Service Advisor. If I have a concern, he listens and responds with solutions. I have a VW Service dealer much closer to where I live, but I come to South Coast because of Santos and the service department here. They know the most about my ID4 than other dealers in the area who seem to not know much about it. Thanks for not only being great, but for listening to my concern and responding in kind. It really means a lot. All of you at South Coast VW do such a great job from Sales (Shout out to Jim Wren) to Service.

Extremely Frustrating and Disappointing Service Experience at VW South CoastIn summary: I was charged for unnecessary services at VW South Coast; the dashcam was unplugged by service tech, labor hours were upcharged, and the service manager refused to amend mistakes made by the service advisor. Don't come here if you want honest, reliable service. If you have no problem with being overcharged and dismissed by their manager, feel free to drop by this dealership. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with VW South Coast when I took my 2019 e-Golf in for a 40K service. I feel compelled to share my experience to help others avoid a similar situation.I urge everyone reading this to always call multiple dealerships for service quotes to ensure you're not overpaying.At VW South Coast, I was shocked to be charged a whopping $530 for the 40K service, even after applying an $80 coupon, the total invoice with tax is still $446.However, the real shock came when I decided to call Norm Reeves VW Superstore Irvine after the fact and was quoted a price of only $180 for the same 40K service. The price difference between the two dealerships left me feeling cheated and frustrated.Upon further investigation, I noticed a discrepancy in the services offered. Specifically, VW South Coast charged me for an engine coolant fluid exchange service, which was not even listed in the manufacturer's recommended 40K-mile maintenance list for the 2019 e-Golf. So, in short, this engine coolant fluid exchange service was unnecessary and should not have been added.My purpose in writing this review is to spare others from making the same mistake I did when a dealer added unnecessary services. Always do your homework and compare service prices from different dealerships before committing. My experience at VW South Coast was both financially painful and disappointing, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same ordeal.In conclusion, save your hard-earned money and have your car serviced elsewhere! Based on my experience, I would avoid VW South Coast at all costs for service due to their exorbitant prices and misleading practices. Consider exploring other VW dealerships where you can get the same service at a much more reasonable and honest cost. Your wallet will thank you, and you'll avoid the frustration I went through.Specific details below:1. The Engine coolant fluid exchange service, which was not even listed in the manufacturer's recommended 40K-mile maintenance list for the 2019 e-Golf (maintenance.vw.com). At the time of service, my car had less than 24K miles on the odometer. According to VW's own Technical Service bulletin (page 2), the G-12Evo coolant used is a lifetime coolant. (static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsb…) Listed as G-12E-050-1G-RTU in my invoice. So, in short, this engine coolant fluid exchange service should not have been added OR should have been presented by the Service Advisor as optional instead of required.2. Labor charged 2.7 hours; dashcam camera was unplugged by the service tech at 3:22 pm after the car was in the service bay, and I received a text confirmation from VW South Coast that service was completed at 4:14 pm. So total time service time is less than 1 hours. Manager tried to reason that there were 2 techs working on the car, even so total hours should be less than 2 hours.
