I sold this truck 3.5 years ago and the transmission that was rebuild by Ed is still shifting nicely. In January 2024, I ran into the person I sold my Silverado to and he confirmed that it's still the same healthy transmission. That is 9 years since rebuild on a 2001 Silverado 4x4 with 35" tires and 4:56 gear. Now, I'm having Ed look at another transmission for my 2006 F250 6.0. Will update on this as it is currently ongoing inspection with Ed.

I left my car with Ed at Transmission Specialist knowing that my transmission was going, along with some other things considering it had about 110,000 miles on it. He replaced the tranmission, fixed a few other and had my car up and running in about 2 days. I didnt want to post a review for a couple of weeks until I was sure the car was running smooth! WOW!!! This car runs better then when I first bought it brand new from the dealer! It has power, its smooth sailing and no longer has that weird noise when I turn that the dealer couldn't seem to find! I was considering on trading it in but not now! I love my car and how it drives. After spending the money on taking it other places to get a good diagnosis, Ed found it and fixed it all. He quoted me a fair price and was honest about what needed fixed. If I would of known about this place I would have took it to him in the first place. Thanks Ed and those who work at the Transmission Specialist!

I reached out to Transmission Specialists expecting to need my truck's clutch replaced. A mechanic took an initial look and realized I just needed clutch fluid topped off. He explained I likely had a leak and told me what to look out for when it came time to replace the clutch. This is a kindness I've rarely experienced from mechanics & will absolutely go to them for work in the future. Straight forward and no bullshit. Thank you for helping this lady who doesn't know much about cars. I learned something today & these guys are great.

Ed is the man. You can trust this guy with your life, lol. They do amazing work at reasonable cost. Transmissions are expensive. Don't go somewhere where you can get ripped off. These guys know what's up and it shows. Very humble, knowledgeable and straight forward staff.

I've been having transmission issues with my 2018 Traverse and after giving up on the dealership brought it here. Ed spent about half an hour with me, scanning, test drive, then searching through the database of issues for solves. Didn't charge me a penny. Ultimately it was something that Chevy has to do at the dealership so I'll start there, but the time and kindness shown by Ed and Ricky (on the phone) were above and beyond. If you've got an out of warranty car, these guys are top notch.

I was pretty sure my clutch was bad but wanted to get a second opinion. Upon speaking to Ed, he gave me a very fair price to replace the clutch. I dropped off the vehicle and he knew exactly what was wrong with it. It took him only a couple of days to replace the clutch and adjoining parts and now it works like new. I'm confident this clutch will last for the rest of my car's life.

I have an 1999 Porsche Carrera, notorious for trans issues. Had 2 trans rebuilds, last one was only 3 years ago, so it was pretty pissed when it failed again. Called all the local shops, quote was from $6-8k. Until I found Ed and his shop, he's definitely got the passion for his work, very fair on pricing and delivered on his promise for $5k. My Porsche has never been better. Thanks Ed! Never trusting anyone else with my car but this shop.
