This store keeps having problems with online orders one after another. The returns are handled by unqualified representatives and it takes forever to process it and usually they need someone else’s assistance.
Customer service phone calls are handled outside the country and most of the times they have no idea how to handle things, barely speaking English and if they don’t know the answer most likely they will hang up the phone on you!

This particular store is my favorite from the other surrounding stores I've been to!! The customer service is great! I am always treated nicely here with no problems from the staff especially when I am looking for a particular item that I saw online. The managers are very helpful and always work with me regarding items that don't show up in stock online, but I find it in the store. The jewelry section is great too! The staff are so nice and helpful. The jewelry from this store is of great quality at a great price during sales. I've bought many pieces of jewelry from this store. Love it!
Now, if there is one thing I would ask to improve on it would be to have the inventory updated in the system accurately. I do love to buy items online through the app and pick up at the store. When an item I've been watching and waiting to purchase shows up on sale and says not available in store then, I'm forced to go into the store and search for it. Sometimes I'm successful in locating the item and sometimes it's truly not available in the store. This would be a huge breakthrough if you kept your inventory updated in the system to reflect on the JCP app! Thank you, Santa Ana Staff!!????

Now a days JC Penney selling most clothes with a average quality. For example with one woman top or blouse, simple design you can find multicolors. Ticket price is reasonable. Add to that I can find deal if there is. Nice!?

I shopped at the JC Penney Santa Ana store on Jun 9, 2024 for men's pants. This is a store I have shopped at for 25+ years. I found what I needed but not in my size. Customer service found my size on their system but said that it would cost $15 more since it would be an online order. Should a customer care how a store orders items out of stock? The representative was clueless and had to ask the lady next to him for help each time he had to work the system. The lady was rude, a total misfit in a customer facing role. I try to shop at local stores especially for clothes. But I would rather save myself aggravation at stores with incompetent people and stupid policies next time. Is it any wonder that JC Penney had to file for bankruptcy in 2020 and is still struggling with plunging sales (per May 2024 financial report)?
