Very Disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the manager Mark. I called to get a refill on a prescription to find that I was cancelled as a client. When I asked to speak with the manager who made this call, I was put on hold for 40min and then hung up on. Poor customer service.

I really do recommend this place mostly with anyone that has bunnies. My little girl been sick for a while wasn’t sure what was wrong with her found out since she in the older stage rabbits usually get unbelievably sick. & in the bill in the end wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I needed an affordable place & found one. The only thing that was bit on the pricey side was the X-ray which made sense. Dr called in next two days to check up how my girl was doing & to give me updates on the X-ray. Recommend if she still needs medication to come back & refill them. I’m absolutely coming back with my other bunnies for a check up as well for them ??????

Can’t speak highly enough about this vets office, I drive 45 minutes out of my way to come here specifically. They always manage to squeeze my dogs in same day when it’s urgent, their vet truly cares about the animals he sees, they work with you on how much you’re able to afford, and the front desk people are always helpful and treat my pets with kindness. I seriously recommend them to anyone looking for a vet, as long as I’m in California they’ll always be my vets office. They’re the only ones I trust for surgeries and I always know they’re in good hands with them

I called around so many places in OC for an affordable quote on pet euthanasia (without return of ashes) and South Coast Pet Hospital fit the bill. They were extremely accomodating and flexible with their schedule. Only concern is that they are so busy that on the day of the actual euthanasia it appears the front office staff was either uninformed or forgot about the appointment. I would definitely call ahead to confirm your appointments about 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to the appointment time (which is what I did). Otherwise, the doctor was very respectful throughout the whole process. We wanted to be there with my dog while the medication was being administered, and the doctor coached us through the whole thing and gave us privacy after. I would definitely come here for their other services, as a shelter we adopted our cat from uses South Coast Pet Hospital as well.

I have been bringing my 4 Bunnies for few years now. South Coast Hosoital, is first class veterinary clinic and hospital. I have always been treated with dignity even when I had to bring one of my oldest bunny to cremate. Bonita passed in her prime 9 year old. I miss her dearly. If you looking for first class service, think about to bring your Bunnies to this Clinic. Because Bunnies are considered Exotic Animals, you need a Doctor who care for Exotic Animals. The front desk is always available, very friendly. Highly recomended, not just for Bunnies but other pets also. Thank you for caryjng for my bunnies.

I've had enough of the front of the house staff there. Been a longtime customer and appreciate Dr. Aramburu professionalism and veterinary advice. However, the staff running appointments act like prison guards when trying to reach the doctor for questions when bringing my animal in isnt feasible or even necessary because a 5 minute conversation can lend an answer.

BEWARE!!! These people are crooks. They will injure your animal, take money for procedures and fail to properly administer care... My dog's yearly physical was awful. The doctor talked commented multiple times about his premature graying hair? He grabs his hind legs and says they will give out and grabs his hips like he was trying to break them right there. I was unprepared and I felt in my gut he was trying to injure my young dog. Skip forward 3 years. My 6 year old dog developed a hernia. They charged me to remove poop that had gathered in his intestines. Cost of approx. $775 and they said he needed anesthesia in order to do it but I had to leave him with them from outside b/c of covid. After the procedure the majority of poop was still there, clear as ever. They never did the procedure or put him under & I know he fought them. They took the full payment and recommended diarhea powder stirred into his food to "see how he does." Listen, I had to take him to the emergency room where the veteranarian told me exactly what all was really going on. SMH I'm so overwhelmed with anger! These people are not to be trusted. Their business is a cover for pure fraud. I need to file this with the BBB & I am contemplating writing a thorough report for FBI. Honestly. Trust your gut. South Coast Pet Hospital is a complete and total scam organization. Do not risk the welfare of your beloved pets. They will not be treated humanely. This is a warning!

Let me preface this by saying I love the Dr BUT the staff is very judgmental and unhelpful. I took my new kitten in for a check up two weeks ago. The staff were very friendly super helpful. However when I left I didn't have the money to buy her medication. I figured what I was giving her (over the counter meds from petco) would be enough. She was doing great until it was the second week after her check up I noticed her nose running. I made another appointment to get rechecked. After I called the next 2 days my kittens health took a turn. I also came down with the flu. When I came in for my next appointment I could immediately feel a shift in the workers attitude towards me. They did not want to even say hi to me. Her vitals were taken and no one updated me on her situation (mind u I have never taken care of a sick kitten before). The dr came in and brought me down to reality saying I basically need to lock in and take this very seriously. I had to ask if she was running a fever. NO ONE BOTHERED TO TELL ME SHE WAS RUNNING A 105 TEMP! Dr said what he wanted to do I explained that I didn't have a lot of fund b/c I didn't realize how bad her condition was. He helped me by lowering the prices Once he left they sent in a vet tech who would not look me in my eyes when I asked her questions about my kitten. then they handed me the meds with barely any instructions. There was no demonstration on how to administer the meds and when I asked "ohh so the eye cream goes directly on the eye?" I was met with very rude "well it is eye cream" I'm sorry I didn't go to medical school. I've never had a sick pet and I've never had any eye infections myself. How about u tone down the attitude and help a pet owner who obviously is in over her head. I walked out feeling very unprepared and uncomfortable. I had to search up videos and instructions online to help me. My kitten fought me every time I administered the eye meds and I literally had to google steps on how to swaddle a kitten into a burrito to give her the meds. If it wasn't for the main dr I wouldn't be going back. The vet techs need to be trained on how to demonstrate medication application instead of handing over the medications and saying read the box.

Do NOT take your pet here. They have an amazing staff everyone is very caring and sweet. But the office IS NOT CLEAN!! I took my 8 month old indoor kitten in for an exam and to get spayed, after staying there for 8 hours she returned home with ticks. I've tried returning and asking for there help but they turned me away and simply recomended a shampoo and for me to take care of it myself.

WARNING! DO not take your pet here. My dog went in for a simple spaying. They took blood work to make sure she was healthy. The vet did NOT pay attention to the fact that she was still and heat and proceeded with the surgery. The dog died at this office. A perfectly healthy dog died because the vet decided to proceeded with surgery when he should not have. Now I am getting her remains in the mail. How do you tell your kid the vet killed off your pet?

Love the dr here, he's always so awesome with all my pets & they never over charge me. The ladies at the front desk are very nice & it's always so clean inside. The only thing that has ever been an issue for me here is the grooming, I was told to bring in my dog @8am & called around 11am to check up on him to be only told the groomer doesn't come in at 12. Why ask us to bring our dog @8am. I had to find another groomer as I don't like my fur baby being in cage for that long.
