I cannot say enough good things about SchoolsFirst Credit Union. Truly, one of the best organizations to bank with. I recently came into a sticky situation with my direct deposit, and the staff (namely, Katherine Gatewood) went above and beyond to help me out in my pickle of a situation. Their staff is full of some of the kindest people I've ever worked with, and I will be a lifelong SFCU member because of this service. If you are able to join this CU, I cannot recommend it enough

WARNING! SchoolsFirst FCU violates their Privacy Policy and NCUA's Privacy Policy by sharing your personal information with unaffiliated companies, such as TruStage/CMFG Life Insurance, including YOUR name and address, YOUR BIRTHDATE (!!!) and YOUR social security number (!!!). They will lie to you when they tell you that they've unenrolled you from the illegal sharing of your personal information. Once the unaffiliated company, such as TruStage/CMFG, has your personal information, they won't stop sending you junk in the mail, won't unenroll you from the junk mail, and won't remove you from their systems. This is all HIGHLY ILLEGAL under NCUA guidelines. And ... please don't believe them when SchoolsFirst tells you that they don't "sell" your personal information. They are more than likely getting some kind of bank benefit out of these deals, some kind of kickback from these unaffiliated companies. I'm opening a formal complaint with the NCUA against SchoolsFirst, and I wish a law firm would open a class action lawsuit against SchoolsFirst. DO NOT open an account with SchoolsFirst if you value the privacy of your banking information! DO NOT give them your birthdate and social security number, as they WILL NOT BE treated as private information!

I just had to wait 45 minutes for a replacement card, and nobody informed me that the card was already ready sitting on the printer. The service here is ridiculous. I was clearly waiting in the area. They designated me too. Yet completely forgot about my card sitting on the printer and me sitting right behind them save yourself some time and go to the one on Chapman.

I have been a member for about 20 years and have had some issues with Schools First in the past, but recently I visited the Broadway location and received astounding customer service. I believe the woman who helped me was Lisbeth and her work ethic gave me a new attitude toward this company so much so I wanted to leave this review. She was fast, professional, accommodating and even took the time to be observant of small details.

I am so proud to be a member of Schools First Fed Credit Union. In all the many years of banking here, every single employee has been professional, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable, in person and by calling customer service I use the Orange branch mostly but today I want to acknowledge Liz at the Santa Ana Branch, she went above and beyond for my son who is homeless(by choice) and who used to have good account standing with this cr union but no longer had account there. Liz went out of her way to accept a check he had from Calif State Rehabilitation Facility that he couldn't cash by letting me sign the check and getting it cashed thru my account. I doubt another bank would have done this. Thank you Liz and all who work at Schools First. Keep up the great work. So hard to find this kind of customer service anymore.

First off I recommend this branch over any other branch. They are great!! Awesome very empathetic. Shout out to Janette for being a compassionate Branch employee. She is truly cares About her community and helping fellow members with options to move ahead. In these tough economic times we have all been to that place where we are in a dire financial crisis. Just like a blessing from above you get lifted up to go forward Thank you Again

I'm not sure if this is the right location since I was assisted over the phone but I spoke with Alyssa and she was great! She was very helpful, resourceful and kind! She did a really great job listening to my needs and was able to help provide a successful outcome! Great job Alyssa!!

I've been a member for awhile now but have never been to this branch. I was buying a car from a dealer nearby and needed to stop here to process my auto loan. Nelly helped me with the process and she was so wonderful to work with!! Her energy was so beautiful and positive. She made sure to explain everything and went through multiple different payment scenarios with us. She was very transparent through the whole process. I highly recommend her for any transaction!

Something has changed recently with this otherwise stellar organization. I've been a member since 2012 and have a modest savings with Schools First Federal Credit Union. But my money is no longer safe with them. They allowed a fraudulent charge towards my account of over three hundred dollars even after I reported the blatant fraud to them.This saddened me and disgusts me as well. I've reached out to them this Monday morning via chat or secured messaging, called all to mo avail.Schools First Federal Credit Union has always been a great institution and would take take of its members. Not anymore. I have a sizable settlement coming my way very soon after years of arbitration. I will not be putting my money at Schools First. In fact I'm searching for a genuinely safe credit union to join. I'm divesting myself from Schools First FCU in pure disgust.

I attempted to call on the 13th and was on hold for way too long and no one in customer service answered. I needed some assistance on my auto loan for a service that they offer for loans. I called today and was told I have to wait an additional 12 months before I can use this particular service. However, if I would have called on the 13th, they would have honored it because their terms changed “internally” yesterday but was never disclosed to their customers. Very dissatisfied and time to look for a new bank. It’s become more and more difficult working with them.

Been a member since 1998. I've never ever had any problems here. They always been helpful. I had all my transfer to this credit union. The staff is very intelligent, respectful, and polite. All the locations have great service.
