1 star because I can’t put 0. Dude was rude at the very least over the phone. Apparently too busy to do tests. Not even a min and hung up. I guess he don’t want business? Who knows . Can only imagine how the actually work ?

If you don't have the money to get a new alternator go to the junk yard stay away from this guy I got one alternator from him after installing 5 minutes and it stopped working I removed bring it to him he blames it on my vehicle give me another one less than 4 months and it broke I have to remove it again and bring it he gives me one more and opened my old one and blame it on my car I took a picture and it was obvious he didn't replace the brushes on that one before putting it for sale

Went to have an alternator pulley changed from old one to new one and when I asked how much after changed the owner said $20.00! When I asked why so much he explained that he had to turn the compressor on! Wow! I understand we are in recession however that was ridiculous.

Had a Toyota Corolla 2001 that needed a new starter the Reyes Bros had a rebuilt one and installed it for me as well at a very reasonable price. Then they installed a new fuel pump in Hyundai Accent 2007, again great price for parts and labor. This was 2 years ago and both cars run like tops to this day. I meant to write a review for them a long time ago and forgot. I live in Laguna Hills and had my cars towed over there with AAA , they handled everything with Tow truck driver repairs etc and called me when done. I read some of these bad reviews and can not understand it, these Reyes Bros are the best and will save you a hell of a lot of $$$ than getting a car fixed in an area like Laguna Hills , Irvine etc. Yes it is not a fancy place with couches, TVs , magazines , coffee etc. but I am not interested in all that, I wanted the best work on my cars for the best price and this place can not be beat!! Period!!

I highly recommend going here to get your car parts checked and repaired. I got good honest and fair service with no BS. Here is what my experience with Rayes Alternator was like, and why I recommend them. I took my car to the local Auto Parts store to get my battery checked because it was not charging. The auto parts store told me my alternator was bad because it was only charging at 9 volts instead of the 13.5 volts or better needed to charge my battery and operate all the electrical components of my car. I took my alternator out to get it tested and repaired if needed by Rayes Alternators in Santa Ana because they have some good Google reviews. They tested my alternator and told me that it worked just fine. The person who tested it told me that the alternator did not have an internal voltage regulator but instead had an external voltage regulator. He explained to me that the reason my alternator was not charging my battery was more than likely due to a bad voltage regulator or a bad wire connection from the alternator to the voltage regulator. He took the time to explain to me how to check these items and what to look for when checking them. All this happened within 5-10 minutes from the time I walked into him business. I was only charged $20 for testing my Alternator and the instructions regarding how to check and fix the Voltage Regulator and the wire connections. It turned out to be a cheap and easy fix that only took about 15 minutes. I was able to save a lot of time and money buying only what I needed and installed the voltage regulator myself, instead of buying a new alternator that I did not need, and not having to take my car to a mechanics shop to get it fixed. I am very grateful for the free lesson from Rayes Alternators that saved me time and money.
