One star is too much for this body shop. Horrible body work done on my car by this place. I don't understand how they are business when the work that was done to my car was deemed unsafe and not up to industry standards. Beware!

TLDR: Performed shoddy job, forced payment through lie and deceit and withholding of car When I took my vehicle to Macias to replace a rear bumper, I also showed them a few dings and scratches that I would like them to fix. They marked these spots with black tape and gave me an estimate, which I agreed to and paid the deposit. After receiving a phone call that they've finished, I came and saw the same dings and scratches untouched with black tape in tact. Pointing this out to them was fruitless and they refused to do any more work, saying their job was done. When I said I'm not going to pay for unfinished work, they said they are keeping the car and that starting Saturday, they'll charge me a fee for leaving the car overnight. Saturday was only 2 days away, but the policy sign in their shop clearly states 3 days till they charge a fee. That's already a couple of lies on their end. After some thought, I figured $500 was not that much to turn this into a legal issue and involve anyone else, so I saved myself some time and said I'll pay. Here's the final lie: they told me they only accept cash. What? I clearly see a credit card machine in their office, why are they lying to me? "Oh it's broken today," they said. How convenient for them and inconvenient for me since I only have my my check book and credit card to pay because who has $500 in cash regularly? It was a horrific experience and a waste of many hours of my life, in addition to unfinished work that I had to pay for.
