Best espresso in the area. Beats out Kean, Hidden House, Bodhi, Hola Adios, Storico, etc. This spot is the real deal.

My favorite is the Nico coffee sooo good. Nico #3 would be perfect with a splash of tequila! The avocado toast is perfectly prepared and I will come back!

First time here and I had the unfortunate experience of trying a seasonal drink called the Smokehouse Capp - a cappuccino with some flavored syrup and a way generous amount of salt sprinkled on top. First of all, I am highly sensitive to salt (and hate salt in any desserts like not even cookies - I can immediately taste it) so totally my fault for getting convinced into drinking this by a patron sitting right by the coffee machine saying it was hugely popular (how?!). The barista let me replace my drink with a regular cappuccino after I tried the smokehouse but the damage had already been done after three sips. The salt burnt my taste buds and I could taste it as I licked my lips of the milk foam (with salt) and ultimately - an hour later I still could taste the remnants of salt in my mouth so much I had to vomit it out. I can still feel my stomach churning from the insanely salty experience and may need to go try to get more of the salt out of my body before I metabolize it and my body dehydrates.Street parking here isn’t bad and conveniently located next to a public parking lot. There are a lot of Asian patrons to this establishment and the coffee shop seems trendy. The other drinks might be more normal, and can’t speak for the quality of any other drink as my experience was probably out of the norm. The salt drink with almond milk was > $8, for a small cappuccino. Not worth it in my opinion even if it had not gotten me sick.

As soon as I walked in there was no greeting staff they’re not attentive to customers whatsoever.I had to speak up louder than usual to make sure he heard my order. The coffee is way overpriced and it had a horrible taste. They really gentrified 4 st. Even the “non locals” make you feel like you’re the outsider. I would only recommend if you like horrible coffee and you like feeling like an outsider in your OWN town.I personally think Starbucks is way better then this.I would recommend Kaffa off of Main st right across from the Choc hospital their coffee is immaculate and reasonably priced. I also recommend Laguna Coffee Company but that’s down the Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach.

One of my fav cafes in SNA! Clean white atmosphere. Friendly staff. Parking is mostly street. Drinks are amazing. Fav is their espresso tonic and their frozen sweet latte (seasonal) when it's out.

If you are a coffee aficionado, Hopper and Burr has THE most delicious espresso drinks, made with raw, grass fed whole milk or homemade almond milk. The cappuccino I ordered was perfectly balanced. Best in OC!

Come stop in! Patrick made my experience. He was so patient & helpful as I was debating my selection. Having never been here before, I wanted to try to espresso by itself but also wanted to try a seasonal bevvie. He recommended I try the Campfire Capp & that he could do a split shot so I could taste the espresso separately. The Capp was made to perfection*, & the espresso was a lovely Colombian. I will definitely be back when in the area!

Another of my fave OC coffee shops- also shocked I haven't left a review sooner since back in 2019 I use to come here almost weekly on weekends with my friend to draw and have coffee. This place is a hidden gem, the service is always outstanding and you can tell the baristas put care in every drink. You can find coffee flavors you wouldn't find anywhere else, like their amazing summer menu and their mixtures of frozen coffee with fruit flavors! The ambiance is really nice and quaint too to draw or write or work.

There is a nearby parking structure that has free two hours on the weekend!Note: The coffee spot has a single gender-neutral bathroom!Photo: Root Beer Coffee

Super friendly neighborhood coffee shop with great minimalistic vibes. Loved the chit chat with the baristas and seems like they remember people.I tried two things over a couple of days and both were very good. The iced mocha is classic and it's perfect for those who want that chocolate kick. They also have seasonal drinks and love the creativity. While they for psl for fall, I really liked the campfire Capp they had, which incorporates smoke and maple flavors in a cappuccino. Very unique, with I feel like I see way less of in craft coffee since it's mostly just focus on beans and brewing technique vs trying to be inventive with drinks.

One of the most advanced cafes in So Cal for fourth wave (yes, fourth) coffee. I got this pineapple fermented drink that had a coffee flavor; it was a crazy drink that deserved to be more than $8! If you mixed it with a dark alcohol, you could have charged $15. We also got the iced coffee latte; I've never had a slushee type of coffee. I wish I could try all the drinks. The design inside is very minimalistic.I wish this place was in a better location. The garage a few blocks away had free parking for the weekend. However, this downtown spot is very ghetto and on the start of gentrification. I wish this cafe was in a place with easy direct parking.
