I wish I looked here before visiting this location. If you have curly hair, do NOT come here for a trim! When I came, I asked if they had experience with curly hair and Rosa said yes. My hair had knots in it so I asked if she could wet it and brush it before cutting it as I wear my hair straight and curly. She sprayed just the ends, and CUT my hair without brushing it through. I expressed my concern that it would not be the same length without stretching each strand prior to cutting it but she insisted this was the best way. She then blow dried just the ends to prove it would be “even.” I don’t know why she did this, I had no problem paying extra for a shampoo and proper cut.
In the end, I left with an uneven cut, that was frizzy and dry at the top& knotted in some areas. I wanted to cry. I’m writing this so you don’t have to go through the same thing.

EDIT: I received a reply on this review from Great Clips head office asking me to email them. I emailed them and they said the salon would reach out immediately. Now I see that Great Clips head office have removed their response from my review and no one has reached out from the salon.
This is TERRIBLE customer service. Do not go here. They don’t care and they don’t stand by their product/service.
ORIGINAL POST: Umm… NO. I Asked for and paid for a straight cut/ trim off the bottom of my straight hair. I tipped generously and ran out of there. Will not be back. Now I have to find someone to fix this even though it’s already several inches shorter than I asked for. Disaster.
Requested style: I requested a straight trim with a middle part and received a hack job.

Today I had the pleasure of getting cut by Rosa. This was my first cut by her and it most certainly will not be my last, I cannot recommend her enough! I was a bit nervous at first bc i always have the same person cut my hair but she asked me all the right questions and made figuring out what i wanted very easy. I couldn’t be happier with my results and can’t wait to get another cut by, thanks again Rosa (:

I tried this location again after a bad experience several years back and I'm sad to say things have not improved. I have curly hair and had to mention to the stylist 3 times that my hair did not seem to be wet enough to be cut. I wanted a layered cut, a bit shorter in the front and rounded in the back. The result was more like a trapeze form when my hair got dry. When I washed it and brushed it wet, I noticed a couple of strands sticking out longer then the rest. I would not recommend Anna for people with curly hair.

Tong cut my hair and is the nicest person I've met in a while. When he washed my hair, he gave me the best head massage ever! The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Great Clips in the Bristol Plaza next to Trader Joe's in Santa Ana

I told the lady I wanted to trim my dead hair because I had an old color on it and was trying to let it grow out. I asked how much 5 inches would look to get cut off and she was like almost the whole color and I was like nevermind. she turned me around and I had thought she started trimming a few inches to then show me she cut off 5-6 inches of my hair... I was so mad I asked her what she did and she proceed to say this is what I had asked. obviously it wasn't. I left unsatisfied and mad especially because she had cut it too short when I specifically told her I wanted to keep my long length and then she blamed it on me that it was what I asked for.

honestly i've had better experiences at other locations. I showed the hair stylist photos of what I wanted and walked out with a completely different and shorter hairstyle. she took her time, but I felt like she wasn't listening to what i'd initially showed her. maybe we misunderstood one another. for the price, it's fine.

Ok. This place is good in general. I always come to the place and there are a few female barbers that leave a good experience.Today's experience is my concern, there is I think a new male old barber who was in hurry. He was cutting my hair too randomly. In the end, he asked me what's my thought, I touched my hair and I found back has a non cut hair (very long) and the front was very short (shorter than what I would expect). I was not surprised because this guy was cutting randomly.Do not get me wrong, I am not picky and in 29 years, I never complained about a hair cut. This is my first complaint. I have nothing personal with this barber. He needs to be taught how to do a hair cut in focused approach.In the end, my responsibility to give feedback to improve the service.
