Please spread awareness among your friends/family and steer clear of this store as well as other Cap City locations. These are the three main reasons why: fake hats, overcharging for fake hats, and their no refund policy.
1) Fake Hats: Many of the New Era hats within the store are fakes. This is clearly seen through the hats missing serial numbers, having fake New Era stickers, missing the iridescent stitching on the tags, and their general low quality. Please inspect your hats before purchasing.
2) Overcharging for Fake Hats: The fake New Era hats are priced the same or higher than a legitimate New Era hat. There is nothing wrong with buying a fake hat at a lower price (not all of us can or want to buy an expensive hat). However, Cap City charges pretty high prices for what are clearly fake hats. This is the equivalent buying a $10 Temu product for $50 at a brick and mortar store.
3) Return Policy: This store has a no refund policy - you may only exchange for a different hat. This means that if you purchased a hat and later discover a defect, you may only exchange it. Also, if you purchased a gift for someone and they later find it does not fit, that person may only exchange the item. This anti-consumer policy proves Cap City does not care about their customers or stand by their products. If they stood by the quality of their hats, they would not be preventing refunds.

I ordered a hat and paid extra fee for priority shipping when I reached out they said it was when usps picked it up. Now it's been 6 days since pickup and capcity will not reach back out. I don't recommend to pay for extra fees.

Adjusting my review because after a month my cap finally showed up. I think the only reason it got delivered is because I raised enough hell and gave them one star. They followed through with the product, but I would advise you shop elsewhere.

Don’t pay for extra for shipping my order was supposed to be delivered in 1-3 business days now it’s arriving a week later after 3 days and they didn’t want to refund me my money for paying extra for shipping

Ordered a hat online with a 1-3 business day shipping. A week later after they finally responded they tell me there was a “defect” with the hat and for me to choose another hat of equal price not including new arrivals, and if I didn’t respond in 24 hours they would issue a “partial refund”. Wish I read reviews before purchasing. Complete rip off and shady business.

Ordered a hat the 31st on a Friday. My shipping label wasn’t made untill the 4th the same day I decided to call and see what’s up since I saw all the bad reviews for this place I was getting sketched out. I called spoke to “Juan” who was cool and sounded like he wanted to help he said they’d have it out by today that was at 11am. It’s 3pm and my package hasn’t even been received by USPS yet. After 4 business days. Regardless if I ever get my hat I’m never in my life buying from cap city again and I’d advise you to go in person at the VERY VERY most just to be safe. Or don’t shop at all. 2 stars just off the strength of Jose being cool on the phone.

Company refused to provide a refund for my order despite being unable to fulfill my order in full because of a defective item. When I challenged this, they presented me with a generic and vague policy that isn't even relevant to my situation.

Purchased two caps. Had to return 20 minutes later as the caps did not fit. Return was not allowed!!!! Dont shop here. Rip off

My boyfriend took a while here and was very indecisive as they had so much to choose from. Mario, the sales rep, was very patient and kept cool & calm the whole time. I was already irritated with my boyfriend because he's going back and forth between which hat to purchase. Excellent customer service and so friendly! They design their own hats monthly and you can even customize your own. Their embroidery machine was down though.

Good selection in hats, however, horrible customer service. Purchased a hat, I returned within 15 minutes to purchase another hat. The employee at the register asked if I wanted to buy another one for 30% off. He was a different employee from my first transaction, the first one failed to mention a second hat would have been 30% off! I told him I had just bought a hat and that I wasn't told about a discount otherwise I would have bought it then. No apology, he just said, "oh well there's no returns." Employees need better training!

Great selection of hats, but i went to exchange i hat that was too big, guy at the register said we can, I haven't worn the hat that i was trying to exchange and the guy at the register rubbed a brush on the hat that i was exchanging and said that i can't exchange it because of a white smudge that was on the inside. The white smudge on the inside of the hat was right where the guy rubbed a brush on it, i hav read previous reviews about how they make excuses when you try to exchange a hat and it is definitely true

Gave me a defective hat after spending $130 for two. Hats are expensive and it seems like they aren’t authentic. LA logo with crooked
