I really want to return to this loving, caring, church family. I was in a deciaple makers class I hope they are still going ? a lot has changed in my life since I left do to a relapse But GOD . Now I run a nonprofit helping the lost with the love that Jesus has for people. I am going to go visit and see how it's goes. Lord guide me in Jesus nameTo God be the glory for the great things he has done ?

Awesome Bible teaching church surrounded by loving saints who are serving as members. We have been members for over 13 years and have a special needs son who has been cared by lovely volunteers through Disability Ministry. We also have been benefiting from in depth bible study by Doug Sorensen who I believe is the best teacher in exposition and application.

My husband and I have been attending Calvary since 1985 because it is a strong Bible-teaching church with an emphasis on world missions. Spectacular kids programs. There are many adult life groups on Sunday mornings and during the week, so there are plenty of ways to meet people and get involved. My favorites: VBS, Seeking Refuge (praying for refugees throughout the world), and Compass (life grp for 20’s & 30’s).

Left a large local mega TV church several years ago for services at Calvary Church of Santa Ana, CA. Ministry is well grounded in the Bible; welcome to church every Sunday is always heartfelt and personal. My wife and I joined the church and were baptized by immersion. There is always a need for committed Christens. We have assisted with Vacation Bible School and food pantry handouts. We look forward to what God has in store for us and our daughter & granddaughter at Calvary Church for years to come.

As a child growing up at Calvary I received a solid foundation for growing into adulthood. After moving from Orange County and then returning 25 years later I chose to attend Calvary again. While staying true to its roots as a gathering of people (that started over 90 years ago) for worship of God and teaching His words and ways, it has grown to become a gathering that values sharing Truth in love and actions. The current leadership at Calvary Santa Ana are willing to wrestle with how to do that with relevance to our current cultures and circumstances both locally and globally.

I have been at Calvary for 22 years, after moving to Orange County and looking all over for a church. I raised three children in this church from the nursery through youth group. A few things I love:1. Calvary is a multigenerational church: there are many white/gray hairs, people who have lived life and stayed faithful who you can learn from. There are also a lot of younger people and young families.2. This is not a tiny church, and it's not a mega church. There are many opportunities to serve and grow. But it isn't impersonal or over-produced like some mega churches.3. Calvary church is very missional -- they support many organizations and missionaries in Orange County and around the world. They support over 1 MILLION dollars in missions, local and world, pop up pantry, orange county rescue mission, birth choice, etc.4. The church has a spanish speaking service, a mandarin service, and its located in Santa Ana. People are down to earth, and there is diversity.5. Finally the church has solid biblical teaching -- I have grown spiritually at this place, learned more about Jesus and His Word.

Not a small church, but not a mega church either. Really biblical based and has deep roots. It might be the oldest church in OC? So lots of mature Christians here. Most of the large churches (Calvary Chapels, Mariners, The Rock, etc.) is tied back to Calvary (not Calvary Chapels - a common confusion). Might not be the most welcomed church for non-believers, but a great church if you want to grow. The pastors are in the pews. Oh and they have a great VBS every year. Also, there's a good K-8 school here.

There are Amazing people next to you, generational Calvary members. There are many scholars and long-term missionaries. You wouldn't know it with casual glances. Good luck on your journeys.

So blessed to to be part of this church. People are so warm and welcoming. My goal is to get to know people in the church more by joining groups. Love the way we worship!

I visited Calvary Church from Ventura County in the early 80s and subsequently moved to Orange County because of the church's heritage of solid Bible teaching and Christ centered focus. I have been there ever since, and it has not changed. I was very surprised to see some of the negative comments here in yelp from people who do not know of Calvary's excellent Bible teaching, worldwide missions, support in the community, and leadership, who are faithful to the cause of Christ and to the Word of God. During my years of membership there, I have morphed into a national speaker and have witnessed many churches across the country who have modeled themselves after Calvary Church. It is my honor to say that Calvary Church of Santa Ana is my home church.

Lots of great people with good hearts. Sunday worship is more of a performance from the "worship" leader who seems to crave attention and wants to be in the spotlight. Preachers alternate, with some much better than others.

I attended school here for 4 years and was treated awfully. I was bullied horribly and most often it happened in front of a teacher and none of the staff stood up for me. The only attention I got from staff was about how I was dressed “scandalously” and getting in trouble for standing up for myself when I was getting verbally harassed.
