Looked up the closest BMO branch to my office and came across the location on Memory Lane (Santa Ana). When I pulled up to the plaza, the bank was easy to spot with big signage at street level. I walked in and was immediately greeted by two friendly staff, Anna and Isabella.
Before walking into the branch I was upset because the banker, who opened my account at another location, had not returned replied to my voicemail or emails from last week. As soon as I was assisted by Anna, I got the sense of urgency and concern to help. Anna asked me what issue I was having took down my information. Telephone banking had a long hold, so Anna told me she would call me later to not have me waiting too long. I thought, "oh great, she'll never call me back."
I was AMAZED at how quickly (within the hour) Anna called me with great news and a solution to my issue. I wish I had visited this branch from day one to build better relationship. Anna took my issue and handled it from start to finish without making me feel neglected. Thank you Anna!
Also, thank you to Isabella for helping me at the teller window with other requests. She's a sweetheart!
Both Anna and Isabella are a gem to have working at BMO! I was feeling so frustrated with another branch, but they gave me a phenomenal experience. That's how all branches should be. I'm happy this branch is close to my office.

They lock me out of my mobile app several times a week and the plaid verification system won’t work. Why is this not fixed? Every other bank issues it without issue. BMO is terrible

This is no longer Bank of the West. It's BMO Harris NA.Your account is still okay until you need routing numbers.I went for cash and asked for the routing number but the representative was bent on me using the app on my phone..I went back today because I need my account number and again she keeps getting me to use the app.I want a human thank you very much!!!! I will be looking for another branch to trust

I have a moving experience every time with this bank. This is because the staff are kind and courteous to everyone.
Even if you don't speak the language, they will spare no effort and time to understand you and will greet you with a smile.
This bank is the number one place I visit in this country.

Don't recommend this bank if you are interested in a home loan or any banking needs. When I came in to submit all the documentation he requested, the loan officer made mention he was so tired he needed to retire, that was a red flag I overlooked, he is burned out! We turned in all the required documents for a home loan and Richard Tallez the loan officer never returned our calls or emails for an update completely ignored our messages. The man is overworked and all your personal information that takes time to gather like your / tax forms, stubs, W2 forms etc, will just get tossed or lost on his pile of folders. Richard took all our personal information and did not have the decency to follow up. Don't waste your time off of work $$$, energy or expensive fuel driving to this bank for a home loan, or any of your banking needs. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. I hope this review spares you from the stress and disappointment I had to go through. Thankful we found a lender elsewhere that is helping us. Good Luck!!!

My name is Adnan Khatib , Bank of the west has let me down after years of doing business with them some one hacked there security system and wired twelve thousands dollars out of my account can you believe that they are saying they are not going to credit it my the 12 k back and I should report this to the police department also claiming my computer was hacked they don't even have a straight story copy of email Manning, Clayton Subject: RE: RE: Police report # 2022-01399 was filed today Jan-20th 20200 report # 2022-01399 Thank you, I will reach out to them tomorrow and see when they might assign the case to the detective section.

Worst bank ever. Good luck trying to cash a check at this place. If you don't have an account here expect to jump through a ridiculous amount of hoops. And it's not just this location. Their policies and procedures are s*** from top to bottom. Every time I step into any of their locations I'm reminded why I don't bank there.

Small town bank with excellent customer service!With the exception of the manager, (who greets me each time I enter the premises), all of the ladies at this branch have given me exemplary customer service.The teller I most frequently utilize, greets me by name and with a smile. Since we are two generations apart, I appreciate her good manners in that she respectfully refers to my as "Mr. Bell".Thank you Bank of the West for many years of customer service with a home town feel.

Horrible customer service! The teller I got was an older lady who seriously seemed mad at the world. Didn’t want to cash my check because in order to cash a check you have to have more money in the account to cover the amount of the check you’re cashing. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been a long time customer and your account is in good standing, you have great credit, have direct deposit and have cashed the same checks every month.....a simple phone call to verify funds was too much work for her. So rude and such an inconvenience. Thank god there was a Wells Fargo across the street and went there and cashed it no problem! I don’t recommend Bank of The West to anyone! Will be closing my accounts immediately!

Horrible service. The teller was super rude. She's an older lady maybe in her 60s but seemed mad at the world and at her job. Do not recommend this bank! Also, you can be a customer for years and have your account at great standing but when you go cash a check, if you don't have the amount of funds to cover that check then they won't cash it. It's so d**** Any other bank will and all they have to do is make a simple 2min phone call to verify the funds. I hate this bank, will be closing my accounts for sure!

Wow! This center has a very rude security guard who followed my disabled fiancée into another store to tell her to move her car from a legal parking spot! With her handicap placard in plain view.

It's so unfortunate that this is the closest branch to us. The incompetence is completely staggering. We have gone in several times in the last year for several different issues, relating to bank account access for a parent (where we had the notarized POA), getting access to old statements, recovering numbers, and other issues. Every single time we go in, a teller tells us that they can't help us with [whatever the issue is] at the branch and we need to call the main 1-800 number... and then when we call the BotW main line, the person tells us we have to go to the branch.
