I have been a customer for many years and I have always been very happy with their product and service. Today when I went to check out and a guy waved me over to check me out. I was totally ignored while he talked on the phone. After several minutes he finally measured my wood, then went back to talking on the phone. He finally looked up at me and told me the price. No, did you find what you needed, no any questions or do you have a account with us etc. I paid and left, with no thank you.

I bought 2 set of slow closing sliding and I asked from the cashier if I can return if it doesn’t fit and he said yes as long you as you have the invoice. Turns out it doesn’t fit , so I drove over to return it , after 10 days , the cashier checked out the item and said “ we can’t accept return cause one set has been used.” I goes , “ I installed both of them to see if they fit “ and he goes “ then we can not accept both. I asked for his manager but I wish I didn’t , he was so snobby and before I say anything , he said “ we don’t accept return if you used it even once “.!!! I said , this is not a pair of shoes than I can try it on in front of you , I need to install it to see how it works but he walked away and ignored me . I asked the cashier just put down on the invoice that “ we don’t accept return and stamp it “ he did that but he said “ we don’t have stamp”. I don’t know where there are many credible store that can’t name them why people buy items from this small place with disrespectful employee. Close this business if you are not able to offer very primary customer service. Ashkan

10/10 Shop first went in and felt like a kid in a candy store. As a complete beginner most the staff was super friendly and great at explaining everything. Wood options are fantastic and if you got a smaller vehicle they can cut down to size for you.

I went to Austin Hardwoods and Hardware for the first time today. I needed help finding the proper replacement hinges for my kitchen cabinets. Daniel was working in the aisle and was an absolute godsend. He explained everything about the hinges I needed in such an informative and comprehensive way. I can’t remember when I have had such fabulous expert care at a store. Kudos to this place and DANIEL!

this is a home depot for fine woodworking. they have s2s hardwoods of multiple species and thicknesses. the staff is knowledgeable and kind. this is my first choice in SoCal for materials not provided by the big box stores for fine carpentry.
