What a fabulously fun store to shop in. Always finding little gems in here. The merchandise is 1st class, and at great price. It is an excellent place to buy gifts. I shop here for my pans and my clothing. The holidays are fun to shop here because they carry a large assortment of holiday decor. They even carry my favorite ornaments here, hand blown Santa's made in Poland A great place.

Great selection! I miss TJ Maxx, but Marshall's picks up the slack in Seaside..it has clothing, foods, housewares, linens, etc.

The Santa Cruz Marshall's looks like the aftermath of a 4 party rummage sale. We actually drive to Sand City to shop this immaculately clean, well stocked, impeccably managed store.Friendly, helpful, associates who actually seem to enjoy their work are everywhere.

I came by here today looking for a dress shirt and a pair of slacks. I did ultimately find what I was looking for. There was a bit of chaos going on in the store with kids running amok and piles of clothes and stuff everywhere. The pricing on the clothing was very reasonable, so no complaints there. This is a decent clothing store but don't expect a high-end shopping experience.

The luggage is more reasonably priced than Target and the selection is similar. It's easy to find things in this place.

I have never had issues returning anything at Marshall's for faulty/low quality/damaged items until yesterday. I'm a working student and constantly on the go and this weekend am dog sitting. I decided to go to Marshall's to grab a dog bed for the dog I'm sitting so he's comfortable as possible. It's funny I go to the isle and I was about to pick a blue medium sized one but when I looked at it, the corner looked like when dogs actually chews on it or mark it with their snout and certainly was muddy to get to the point. There is no way that blue pet bed was dragged on the floor and the upper corner got dirty by dragging it. I immediatley spotted a different one which was stacked with others of the same style and color but none of them had the Marshall's tag so I dug all the way to the bottom and found the same style and color that did have a tag finally. I simply grabbed it in a rush and checked out. I grabbed a couple of things out of my car including my water bottles along with the bed. (I, like many others have the tendency to get things out at once even if it means cramming my fingers). I bring in the bed laid it flat on the ground and I noticed it had a small size-of-a-thumb-tear. I'm not sure if it was just my luck or something but given that I purchased it the same day I decided to go exchange it immediately. When I grabbed it I noticed some spots of the pet bed were wet. But these we're even enough to dampen the piece it was more like when one sprinkles water on a pillow if you may. Now remember I am the type of clumsy person that often pulls things out of the car at one time which in this case that's what happened including my water bottle. I have the bad luck that sometimes I don't close my water bottles all the way or they simply spill water while they're rolling in the back as I drive. I realized I did indeed accidentally spill some water on the bed as I tried to get everything out at once from the car and to top it off I remembered some of the water bottles also rolling on the back but luckily it wasn't enough of spill to damp the entire bed. I take it back to Marshall's and ask for an exchange explain the tear and the cashier says "it's wet". I said I know I accidentally spilled water on it. What should have been a simple return immediatley became a case of interrogation it's hysterical actually. She said ok hold on and I was so confused as to why I would have to wait. Her supervisor (I believe it was) asked the same question and took it further saying "you didn't notice it had a tear?" Horrible it's like no I didn't until I took it home and therefore brought immediately back I bought not even an hour ago. She stated "we don't place things like this in the floor" I said excuse me are you calling me a liar because if we're going there I can pick the blue bed I saw that is literally used it's dirty on the corner like when dogs chew on it. She stated "well dirt is not something I can control but I'll make an exception." Horrible I refused the fact she said "exception" and reminded her this should be an exchange and again it's not the first time I actually find dysfunctional things on the floor and they should get the blue bed off the floor immediatley in that case then she had the never to tell me if I "could go get it to show me" as if that's my job or again was lying. (If we're going to go there please, we may as well show the number of times customers return faulty items to Marshall's or damaged or of the seams in clothes not properly done. Don't even get me started on how I now count the pages because I bought a journal that was missing some pages but I paid full price, or their the many times I have seen their unchecked body butters picked into and still on the floor). As she made the exchange she continued to say "by the way I wasn't calling you a liar" I stated "you don't need to be l

Cashier was strange, lacks social skills. Dirty look and weird comment on what I purchased. Can tell she had 3+ years off on unemployment. Hire people with social skills. Store is small and crowded. Prices on same items are up-charged here in comparison to Santa Cruz marshalls (not sure why? Considering sand city is dirty. Santa Cruz is a way nicer area so if prices are going to vary by location sand city should be the LAST location to increase prices… just because you’re near a beach doesn’t make it a nice area).

I go here for nearly all my clothing needs, the selection is massive and high quality with good prices. The staff is also very friendly and kind. However, the store itself is pretty disorganized. With such a great variety that's understandable, but it takes a very long time to find what you're looking for sometimes, even a staff member was unable to offer insight into where something was!
