“So much savings on certain foods and produce! I had to quickly run to my local supermarket (Lucky) because it was just 1 item, and it's a bit closer. I picked up hillshire smoked sausage for about $6.50. Not sure if you can clearly see the price in the picture, but it's $2.26 at the commissary! I believe you get the biggest bang for your buck on meat at the commissary.
Also, you need to bring your own grocery bags. They have self service check out. Get store, easy parking, never really busy.”

Maybe a little pricier, but well suited for the locals who need easy access to groceries for small “ish” households or meals. Need to explore more. It was just a nice shopping experience for me.”

⭐ EL RANCHO MARKET – Marina ⭐
Man, this place is solid! The meat department is super clean and has a wide variety of cuts — you can tell the guys back there work hard . The food is straight up busssin ?. I grabbed an avocado sandwich (pic below) and it hit the spot fr.
The store’s always organized too — shelves full, aisles clean, and the workers are always on top of things. You can tell they take pride in keeping it nice ?. The produce is super fresh — I mean, it’s Marina, we got the best farms around, so that’s expected ??.
Prices are getting way better too! The old owners used to have it a little pricey, but now with the new ownership, it’s actually improving a lot. Big props for that ?.
Customer service here is A1. They cash checks, do money orders, even send money overseas — makes life way easier. The staff always has smiles on their faces, and the cashiers are quick, kind, and friendly. I always feel welcome here ?.

“This store is great. Parking is ample and there's easy access from three different streets. The store is very clean, and the staff are well-trained, helpful, and friendly. I love their 10% seniors discount every Wednesday from 8am to 9am. This discount is ONLY at this specific Grocery Outlet in Marina!
Be mindful of the sell-by dates, because Grocery Outlet always has some items that were overstocked or discontinued by the manufacturers; that's why the bargains can be big. Those types of items can disappear from their shelves, never to be seen again. I stock up when I discover a really good product, just in case.”

“Kim's Market is under new ownership. The new owners have really made some incredible improvements. The market has more items and some delicious prepared banchan Korean side dishes. The owners are so nice and have even made some great recommendations. The oxtail soup they prepare is absolutely delicious. I also like their kimchi that is almost as good as Hong's Market. This little market is terrific and I highly recommend to anyone looking for Korean or Japanese food items.”
“Since the lockdown, Jerome's Carmel Valley Market has saved my family. The fresh all Organic produce and Neiman Ranch meats are Prime and seasonal. They have a terrific wine selection as we'll. You can arrange for them to pack your order, shop for you and then pick up your food without having to go inside the store for a small fee.Carmel Valley Village is so fortunate to have this wonderful market!”

“Valnizza's Deli and Market is a well known Monterey business recommended by many area locals. The business is clean and customer service is friendly. Sandwiches are good and I recommend the pastrami sandwich. There's also many other goodies available at the deli including a few hot food items. This is definitely a good place to grab a bite to eat that is reasonably priced and offers good value and tasty food.”
“Went the weekend before Thanksgiving. Needed to tri tip. Unfortunately, it was BOGO. Staff saved me 2 as I drove over. Prices were very good for food. Employees were friendly and asked if they could help. Fresh food looked good quality, as did the meats. Everything we bought was great. Wish I had gone back here for groceries instead of the very spendy Safeway- and yes, I did use my card at Safeway. Lucky was a gem.”

“If you ever have the time on Sunday from 10am till 2pm. I would highly recommend coming to the Farmers Market in Marina, it's small but worth it! “I love this place. I shop here weekly for my parrot's fruits & veggies. It's also a great place to pick up produce for canning. The fruit is generally ripped at purchase so it will need to be used quickly but this is perfect when canning. The employees are always very friendly.”

Remember what the first Trader Joes was like in Pasadena when it was a just a little shop on Arroyo? Before they became our supermarket overlords? Yeah, it’s like that. Lots of delicious & fresh local foods & pantry staples. Friendly staff too boot!Great coffee but service peters out for fresh coffee around mid-afternoon. Which isn’t specific to here as it goes. Fresh cookies from Peninsula & Lupitas which is great to find locally rather than having to trek over the hill. And the sandwiches, dios. Arrive before noon for best selection. Yum.”
