“This is my favorite Trader Joes, the aisles seem larger than typical TJ's and every time I go, no matter the time of day, day of week, it is never crowded. The staff is also very friendly and helpful (as always).”
“Small selection of farm fresh produce. Also granola, peanuts, honey, succulents, jams, chocolate and a myriad of other tasty things. Best of all, the very best fresh heirloom artichokes (when in season), globe artichokes also.”

484 Lighthouse Ave #100, Monterey“I absolutely adore this place. My husband and I stopped in and felt so welcomed. They have a huge range of foods and snacks that you’ll love! And honestly the pricing is affordable so you don’t have to decide which snack to try because you can get both! And finally a place me and husband can speak russian and not be starred at the whole time. Definitely will shop again and again! Спасибо!!!”
“The owner is friendly and the male staff at the counter are also very nice^^The kimbap is so great that I’m thankful for the owner’s program!!I ate kimbap twice during my 3 nights and 4 days trip to Monterey^^”

1276 Fremont Blvd, Seaside“Very good service, I love all the products from El Salvador that they have and I was surprised to find fresh nances, charamuscas and some delicious freshly made Salvadoran quesadillas”
“Located in a safe downtown area, about a 15 minute walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. Super chill, relaxed atmosphere. Superb customer service. Fantastic selection. I love how they’ve personalized it for Monterey! Super fun and a great spot to pick up snacks or stuff for a beach picnic with the fam!”
“Very lovely, no-frills traditional small family-owned shop with generous portions of fresh and tasty food at reasonable prices. I had leftovers for several days afterward. The service was great, and the people running the shop were sweet, kind, and very welcoming and attentive. I was just passing through Monterey on a long drive and stopped here for lunch, but if I lived there, I would support this business regularly.”
“The nicest staff and an amazing selection of asian groceries. There is a wide variety of snacks, sauces, hot pot meats, and more. The store is quite small but feels very homey. Apple pay is accepted! Please consider supporting this small business! It's a hidden gem that is worth the visit :)”
“The military commissary is well stocked, service-oriented staff, and generous parking.Close to PX and gas station. Still good.Great service when assistance is needed.”

350 Pacific St, Monterey“Was in Monterey a few days for a wedding. Stayed along Pacific Avenue and this lil market was my go to for all those cravings and last minute needs. A lighter, beer, wine bourbon, water and an Italian meat deli sandwich. The sando hit the spot after days of chowder, seafood and steaks. An Italian meat sandwich stacked high between a fresh sourdough roll answered the craving. Toss in an Yerbamate, bag of TacoWorks and Monterey Bay view and it was a perfect SUNday FUNday. I have a thing for supporting small business and I can recommend this lil corner street market for good selection of goods. Super friendly staff too. Cheers.”
“Lively little neighborhood market like a high level “convenience” store with a robust and well and organized product selection. Fresh meat market, well organized and focused customer interface. Maybe a little pricier, but well suited for the locals who need easy access to groceries for small “ish” households or meals. Need to explore more. It was just a nice shopping experience for me.”
“This store is great. Parking is ample and there's easy access from three different streets. The store is very clean, and the staff are well-trained, helpful, and friendly. I love their 10% seniors discount every Wednesday from 8am to 9am. This discount is ONLY at this specific Grocery Outlet in Marina!
Be mindful of the sell-by dates, because Grocery Outlet always has some items that were overstocked or discontinued by the manufacturers; that's why the bargains can be big. Those types of items can disappear from their shelves, never to be seen again. I stock up when I discover a really good product, just in case.”
“The destination for the very best produce around. Since the pandemic I have used Russo's to source my produce and am never disappointed. I am pretty finicky about choosing my own fresh food and can say that this place delivers the most exceptional goods at the best prices-beautiful fresh herbs bouquets, gorgeous lettuce heads and local artisanal goods are available and it is so very easy to use their website-they also deliver in a pinch. Do not hesitate to trust Russo's implicitly for amazing produce and local producers of fine foods.”
“I want to give a shout out to Chris C. who in my opinion is an exemplary employee of the store. He is always in motion from stocking, bagging, chasing carts and organizing the shelves. He takes ownership in the store. There are many other stars at the store who are very kind and cheerful and engaging as well.
I do want to mention, which i have noticed, some of the employees do not give the customer the right of way. I believe they should stop and let the customer pass and not cut them off. Take a moment stop and say hello and let the customer pass and then go onto your duties. I think this will give a higher level of customer service. Thank you”

Junipero St, Carmel-By-The-Sea“This place is amazing probably one of the best best sandwiches I’ve ever had! I’m so glad that we stopped at Bruno’s market and deli customer service was amazing too. Jeremy was very helpful. We will definitely be coming back again.”
“Since the lockdown, Jerome's Carmel Valley Market has saved my family. The fresh all Organic produce and Neiman Ranch meats are Prime and seasonal. They have a terrific wine selection as we'll. You can arrange for them to pack your order, shop for you and then pick up your food without having to go inside the store for a small fee.Carmel Valley Village is so fortunate to have this wonderful market!”
“BEST MENUDO IN THE ENTIRE 831!!Best breakfast to have. We’ve been buying their menudo for the past 20+ years and as someone that’s tried menudo in many other places from San Francisco to Monterey none can beat this one at El Rancho Market. This menudo comes paired with its cilantro/onion mix as well a crushed pepper with oregano on its separate containers.I’ll be honest I haven’t been in the store in many years but my dad brings us menudo from here just about every weekend. When we go visit family in Modesto area they always ask us to bring them some. That’s how good it is.On the picture I added my own home grown oregano hence the big oregano leaves.Everyone needs to give their menudo a try.”
“New owners. Frank is fair & has almost everything you want or need. Just ask him if he can get it, he'll let you know. Just support him and I'm sure he'll reciprocate.”
11:30AM - 8:30PM
11394 Merritt St, Castroville“They have the best subs in my life, i live almost 10 miles away from them but I at least go 2 maybe 3 times a month just to get some. They are very welcoming and if you go often the owner starts to recognize you even if you go once a month”
“Since I just came from Korea, I couldn't find the common bean sprouts, so I went all the way to San Jose... There aren't a lot of items, but this supermarket has everything I need! The side dishes are also delicious! I went here through word of mouth among Koreans who live here, and I plan on buying and eating side dishes here! It's great! The owner is also friendly and the best!”

265 Carmel Ave, Marina“I like it! Super convenient (for me). It's located near where we do a lot of our shopping. It's loaded with food we normally eat and the owner is very kind. I love exploring Asian markets for new food options but having the familiar to fall back on. This place has that vibe for me. It's Korean leaning and that's cool a lot of Asian type foods are quite similar with just a few changes in spices and preparation. Overall it's variety is good. A nice frozen section, selection of rice, noodles and meats. A wide selection of prepared condiments ( I'm lazy) for your rice and noodles. It's not a one stop shop and I don't need it to be, they have enough variety for me to return and try new things, and that's fun. The kind lady (owner) gave us a free package of house made Korean kimchi pancake type things for stopping in. P.S. on that last paragraph, the pancakes given to us I think are called kimchijeon. We just put them in a hot pan and crisped them up a little... bam! A nice side with all the other good things we got there too day. Last word...excellent!”
“If you ever have the time on Sunday from 10am till 2pm. I would highly recommend coming to the Farmers Market in Marina, it's small but worth it! Wonderful people, great products; fresh vegetables, baked goods, delicious snacks like kettle corn and cheesecakes to jewelry and more! Come check it out!”
“Clean, well-stocked store with plenty of options and typical grocery store prices that are better with sale prices. Got everything we needed for dinner, and were quickly on our way.”
“Amazing selection! Everything is so fresh and beautifully displayed. Super helpful folks working there, very nice when you're having trouble finding what is needed.”
“Every time you walk in your greeted with a smile and hello. And Roberto at the deli is a Badass. Today I had his tacos they were ground beef and they were off the hook. And also my turkey sandwich was awesome. If you're in the village for lunch definitely go see Berto at the deli counter. Tell him the Wolfman sent you. His soups is definitely a high quality soup today #ChickenTortilla ”
“OMG, I had the best sandwich today from Andronicos deli. All week I was in the mood for a really good veggie sandwich and today I finally found it. I ordered a create your own sandwich on a white roll with Vermont cheddar, spinach, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickles and mustard. Basically it was a salad on a roll and it was exactly what I have been craving all week. The veggies were fresh and tasty, and the thick slices of pickle really set it off. There was just enough mustard without being overpowering or dry. I honestly can't say enough. Every bite got an "mmm". Can't wait until next time.”
“I was visiting family here for Christmas, and in SJ one of my reps recommended this place. OMG!!!!! Ordered a turkey, swiss with all the fixings except pickles. The BEST sandwich I have ever had!!! I will be back for sure!”

401 Ocean Ave, Monterey“Valnizza's Deli and Market is a well known Monterey business recommended by many area locals. The business is clean and customer service is friendly. Sandwiches are good and I recommend the pastrami sandwich. There's also many other goodies available at the deli including a few hot food items. This is definitely a good place to grab a bite to eat that is reasonably priced and offers good value and tasty food.”
7AM - 11PM
2 Del Fino Pl, Carmel Valley“Best sandwiches in town! Good selection of Marianne’s & now Revival ice creams too. Kaseys is more like a little market than a Grab/Go. Remember what the first Trader Joes was like in Pasadena when it was a just a little shop on Arroyo? Before they became our supermarket overlords? Yeah, it’s like that. Lots of delicious & fresh local foods & pantry staples. Friendly staff too boot!Great coffee but service peters out for fresh coffee around mid-afternoon. Which isn’t specific to here as it goes. Fresh cookies from Peninsula & Lupitas which is great to find locally rather than having to trek over the hill. And the sandwiches, dios. Arrive before noon for best selection. Yum.”
“You have specials every week, a large parking lot and I like that they close late, most of the stores at 9 are already closed and I only wish they had more things from Mexico, like yogurt and more Mexican-style meats.”
