“The inn is in very good spot. Its backyard is basically the beach so we were able to hike down to the water. The rooms are very clean, modern, with no weird odors. I would recommend this place. “We wanted to stay somewhere on the coast but had a small budget so we chose this place because of the easy access to the beach. Unfortunately you don’t have a beach view, but we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway. I loved that we were able to use all the same amenities as the more expensive Cavalier next door such as volleyball, yard games, and fire pits which you can sit around in the evening.
The room was comfortable and had all the basics we needed. It is quiet and cool in San Simeon and we enjoyed touring Hearst Castle and watching the elephant seals just minutes down the road. Restaurants in the area are pretty pricey, I might add.
Overall this is a nice place to come for a getaway on a budget!”

“I think The Morgan Hotel is a 3-star hotel. It is perhaps a slightly aging celebrity, but the rooms are comfortably outfitted, the atmosphere is super pleasant, they have a heated pool even in winter, there is apparently accommodation for pet boarding while there, and the service is excellent. I give a particular nod to the night desk man, who provided outstanding service to myself and clearly to other patrons. Visit the Morgan for an economical comfortable stay at a location where you can feel at home.
Noteworthy details: Again, the staff is excellent.”
